Eternal Thief

At this moment, Ace entered a luxurious room, and it wasn’t just an ordinary room; instead, it was filled with dense Abyssal Qi; it was a top-quality cultivation room that only those with the highest ranking statues could enjoy.

A devil butler was standing behind Ace in a respectful yet refined manner as he bowed, “My lord, the Castle Lord has arranged the best cultivation room for your rest. Please don’t hesitate to ask for anything during your stay here, and the Castle Lord is personally overseeing today’s banquet. The Castle Lord also expressed his profound gratitude for the esteemed lord’s favor, and looking forward to the banquet.”

“Please express my gratitude to Lord Khazar, and tell him I liked this place very much.” Ace politely nodded before he dismissed the butler and activated the formation to seal the room.

Ace then looked at his shadow and solemnly said, “Senior Mirage Shadow, do we have any surveillance on us?”

Although Ace knew Khazar wouldn’t dare to monitor him, he still pretended to be cautious as if he was about to do something significant.

Mirage Shadow remained silent for a moment before she hoarsely replied, “There is nothing to be afraid of.”

Although Mirage Shadow didn’t understand why Ace would accept Khazar’s invitation when he was here for his master’s task, she didn’t dare to pry and could only follow the Dread Duchess’s instructions.

Ace nodded slightly before he said in a measured tone, “Then, senior, I would like to seek your forgiveness first because I need you to step outside the room, and make sure no one could detect anything inside, for I’m going to contact my master. I hope you understand the implications behind this matter!”

Just as Ace’s voice trailed off, Mirage Shadow instantly emerged from his shadow, bringing gloom into the brightly lit room. Although her expressions were hidden, the violently flickering lights behind her hood seemed to indicate that she wasn’t as calm as she appeared.

“I understand. Please don’t worry, no one would dare to disturb you, young lord.” Mirage Shadow agreed to Ace’s request without hesitation, as the conversation with the Dread Duchess came to mind before she followed Ace into the Black Hermit City.

Furthermore, with Ace’s previous actions of coming to Khazar’s castle, and now he was about to contact his master, she couldn’t help but think that it was all planned by Ace.

Nonetheless, she didn’t dare question him, nor was she bold enough to spy on him while he was contacting an Abyssal King. After all, from Ace’s previous actions, it seemed the method he used to contact his master was extraordinary, and even they couldn’t detect it despite being constantly in his close vicinity.

That’s why she took this request extremely seriously; if she messed it up, she would have to apologize with her life!

Ace watched Mirage Shadow submerge into the shadows and vanish without a trace, and then he looked within the Live Fate Map.

’She really left…’ Ace’s lips curled up slightly as he hadn’t expected it to be so easy to trick Mirage Shadow using his master.

Nonetheless, since he ’has’ the backing of an Abyssal King, he understands that even the Dread Duchess won’t do anything excessive, much less her subordinate.

As for whether she would spy on him for the Dread Duchess, he wasn’t sure, but he believed there was an over 90% chance she wouldn’t.

At this moment, Ace suddenly felt a faint yet profound ripple blacking the space in the room, and his eyes flickered with astonishment, ’She really blocked off everything…including space. She’s probably an Abyssal Grand Lord!’

After a moment of consideration, Ace closed his eyes, and the next moment, a dark golden streak flashed out of his forehead, and the Avatar of Holy Twilight, who looked exactly like Ace, appeared in front of him.

Ace waited for a little while with a hint of nervousness, and when he saw Mirage, Shadow didn’t move from her current position, nor did he sense any changes in the space. He sighed in relief.

’I guess, she’s sensible…’

Ace was more confident now, and with a wave of his sleeve, Zaria’s voluptuous figure, hidden under a black cloak, appeared beside the Avatar of Holy Twilight.

Almost instantly, Zaria’s serene aura seemed to turn slightly chaotic as she exclaimed, “So this is the fable abyss?! The Abyssal Qi here seemed to have a suppression effect on my spirit Qi, and I’m afraid that if I were a little bit weaker, I would’ve suffered Qi deviation.”

Ace was surprised by Zaria’s reaction, as Eva had already warned them about it. The house members and he could only bypass this suppression due to the system-related cultivation techniques. As for his avatar of holy twilight, it was a unique existence acknowledged by the system.

However, Zaria still hasn’t cultivated her house member shop’s cultivation technique, so she experienced the suppression of the abyss on the heavenly beings firsthand.

Nonetheless, Zaria was already a half step into the Ascension Grand Lord realm, so she could still walk in the abyss freely, albeit her powers were suppressed by almost 40%!

“Don’t worry too much.” Ace calmly stated, “I’ve already told you the plan. Until you re-cultivate to the Ascension Grandmaster Realm, my avatar will stay with you as your protector while also helping you with thefts and teaching you the ropes of our profession. You need to endure through the initial process and use your current power to earn House Points!”

Zaria couldn’t help but frown as she glanced at Ace’s avatar, who was wrapped in black robes, and his head was hidden under a hood. She felt uncomfortable about needing Ace’s protection, given that she was far stronger than he was.

Nonetheless, Zaria had already witnessed the benefits of the Thief House, so she was determined to go through with this small hardship.

Furthermore, Leah was absolutely safe within the Thief’s House, having already made new friends, and she no longer cared about her, which made her slightly depressed. Nevertheless, she was very happy for her little sister.

“Then, where are we? I thought you said that you would drop us outside the city, but this place is clearly sealed with a powerful Grand Lord!” Zaria grimaced as she already saw through the uniqueness of this place, and this room didn’t look like a remote location at all.

Ace chuckled as he replied profoundly, “Well, sometimes my plans won’t always go as I planned, so I have to improvise, just like right now. So, here’s the new plan…!”
