Eternal Thief

Ace could feel the explanation branded into his mind as law-formulas and geometric patterns unfolded across his knowledge sea.

“At the first level, you need to gather 100 Sin Seals to form the Lesser Sin Cycle, and when you complete the Lesser Sin Cycle, it’ll amplify your attack and defense by 5X!

“To reach the second Level, you need 10 Lesser Sin Cycles or 1000 Sin Seals to form an Upper Sin Cycle that can amplify your powers and defenses by 10X!

“Finally, this part wasn’t supposed to be imparted to you because your current realm and dominion are too low. However, because you performed beyond the trial requirements and with your exceptional talent, I’m adding another level of Sin’s Dominion.

“The third level needs 100 Upper Sin Cycle to form a Mortal Sin Cycle, which can amplify your power by 20X!

“Furthermore, these are just the core principles of the Sin’s Dominion; there are more profound techniques within this legacy that can be used by utilizing the Sin Seals and Sin Cycles.

“However, Sin’s Dominion won’t end at Mortal Sin Cycle; you need to acquire my next legacy, not just because of my path, but there is another heaven-defying opportunity I’ve left behind for my successor!”

The Ancestor’s voice grew solemn, almost reverent, “Remember, this is not a technique you cultivate through Qi. The Path of Sin’s Dominion is an ability of law. You feed it with comprehension, not energy.

“You nurture it through understanding, not control. You evolve it by facing sins— your own and others’. Without a profound grasp of the Law Sigil of Sin, none can even sense this legacy, much less wield it!

“Lastly, in the end, you’ll get all the information you need to find my other legacy and its location…”

As the Ancestor’s voice faded away, the crimson runes flared blindingly, and at that moment, Ace felt something brand itself onto the deepest layer of his Law Sigil of Sin!

Ace was astounded because it was his first time experiencing someone engraving a technique directly on a law.

Furthermore, as that engraving became vivid, and Ace refined the memories within the legacy, he instantly realized that it was the engraving of Sin’s Dominion.

It was a circuit that linked every sin within him into a single throne of command; it was the main component that needed to form Sin Seals!

Then came the final echo, soft yet vast, “Wield it wisely, little successor. For the one who governs Sin… governs the hearts of all beings, and such power is not for the weak of will. Should your heart waver, Sin will not serve you—it will devour you. This is the gift and curse of the Legacy of Sin’s Dominion!”

The final word struck like thunder, and Ace’s consciousness exploded with blinding light. The scarlet ocean shattered.

When Ace came to, the air was cold and still. He stood once again in the depths of the Black Hermit Mines!

It was the same cavern where he had first found the door of the Law Legacy. But now, the door was gone and in its place remained only a faint shimmer in the air, the afterimage of a vanished miracle.

His breathing was steady, but his mind roared with aftershocks like a vivid dream he had just woken up from.

Furthermore, after coming back to the Abyss of Wandering Souls, the Law Sigil of Sin pulsed faintly within his inner world, far more alive than before. He could feel something new.

Upon inspection, he felt as if threads connecting him to the unseen emotions lingering in the world around him—the aura of guilt, rage, envy, greed…all faint, yet all within reach.

Within him, the Legacy of Sin’s Dominion slumbered, waiting to awaken.

But it wasn’t over as Ace felt something and looked down at his hand, and froze because resting in his palm was a crimson token, shimmering faintly with starlight.

The words ’Crimson Vice’ were engraved upon it in flowing, archaic script that seemed to shift when viewed from different angles. The token pulsed faintly, carrying a trace of the Ancestor’s intent—solemn, commanding, unyielding.

Ace exhaled slowly, eyes reflecting the shimmering token, “This… is my second reward.”

Ace knew this was the token that was also the key to finding the next part of the Ancestor of Profane Chains’ legacy. But right now, it was nothing but a pretty decoration as he was too far away from utilizing it. The next moment, the token gleamed once before vanishing into his storage ring.

Ace closed his eyes, feeling the lingering echo of the Ancestor’s last words within his mind, “The one who governs Sin… governs hearts.”

A faint, knowing smile curved Ace’s lips, “The fate map hadn’t disappointed! Thank you, Moira!”

“It was all sir’s own fate, I’ve done nothing!” Moira quickly replied in a gentle tone.

Just when Ace was about to scan the surroundings, something unexpected happened…
