Dragon Monarch System

”But since you are the first to reach Mid 5th-order, I want to reward you.”

”Tell is there anything that you want?”

Amber shyly looked at Aditya.

Suddenly, her heart started beating faster. With his enhanced senses, even he noticed the sudden spike in her heartbeat.

”If it’s not too much to ask, then I want a Hug from His Majesty.” She was so nervous at that moment that she did not dare to look at him.

A part of her was afraid.

A part of her was very nervous about his reaction.

While she looked away, a pair of strong arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her into his chest.

The moment he hugged her, her heart began beating extremely fast. It was one of those moments that she will remember for the rest of her life.

The feeling of being hugged by the man she secretly loved was really special.

After a few seconds, Amber gathered some courage and hugged him back. Aditya did not stop her. He let her hug him.

Both of them continued to hug, undisturbed, for over 5 minutes.

”You should head back. Your subordinates must be waiting for you.” Hearing this, Amber had no choice but to nod her head. Unfortunately, it was the truth. Before coming here, she had informed them that her meeting with His Majesty was going to be a very quick one.

Her Vice Captain and others were waiting for her to return so that they could celebrate in some very fancy restaurant.

”Not to mention hugging this long is not good.” Hearing this, Amber only lowered her head and gave a very small nod.

But he smiled before leaning forward. ”Not unless we change our relationship.”

Before she could react, Aditya had already vanished from her eyes.

Aditya’s words have given her hope. Something between them was indeed possible. The thought of this made her extremely excited.

Around 5 minutes later, Amber reached the 3rd floor of the restuarant everyone was waiting for her to come so that they could finally begin celebrating.

Among everyone, there was her best friend, the Ultimate Alchemist, Julia Onard.

”You are Late!” Julia came forward to welcome her. This whole grand celebration was from Julia’s side.

”On my way, I unexpectedly ran into His Majesty.”

”Aditya? Why do I feel like it wasn’t an unexpected meeting?”

Amber looked nervous hearing this.

”Let me guess. Aditya must have gone there for some work, and then you happened to sense his presence.”

”So you purposely chose to slow down and meet Aditya.”

”Alright! Everyone is waiting. And I am very hungry today.” Amber just pushed Julia by her shoulders towards everyone else.

This was a very embarrassing topic to continue. Especially in front of her subordinates. None of her subordinates knows that she has a crush on His Majesty. Only Amber knows, so even if she teases her, it was fine. But doing it in front of her subordinates would undermine her authority or somewhat decrease her respect.

The entire 3rd floor was reserved for them today.

There weren’t too many people. Only the very highest-ranked members of her division or the people close to her, like Julia.

Scene Change______

Back in his office,

He wasn’t in the mood to immediately sit down and study runes. The past few days he has been doing nothing but that.

Suddenly, he remembered something that was waiting for his attention in his storage ring.

”Time to see what’s inside the storage rings of the organisation members.” A part of him was very excited about this. Each highly ranked member of the organisation is very rich and always carries many valuable items.

Not to mention, the last time he opened a storage ring belonging to an inner member of the organisation, he found a diary containing high-level, secretive information about the organisation. It was only through this information from the diary that he was able to understand how the organisation’s structure worked.

”But one time at a time.” To keep things mysterious and interesting, he decided to take item after item, not everything at once.

The first thing he took out was a light-blue set of clothes.

『Cloudspun Inner Robes』

『Description - Woven from spirit-silk worms. The Inner Robes regulate body temperature, resist minor elemental attacks, and slowly absorb ambient Mana to nourish the wearer.』

’Compared to their clothes, ours are too ordinary.’

What Aditya did not know or perhaps never cared enough to ask was that his clothes were far from ordinary.

They were woven from the silk of spirit-silk worms, a rare material that only the royal household could afford. The fabric was light, smooth, and almost weightless, yet stronger than normal silk.

The first special function of these clothes was that they would always adjust to his body perfectly. No matter how much his physique changed from training, the robes would fit him as if they were freshly tailored every single day.

The second function was even more convenient. His clothes would never become dirty or wrinkled. Dust could not cling to them. Sweat would not stain them. Even after long hours of work or training, they remained clean and neat.

Because of this, Aditya always looked flawless and dignified. Exactly how an Emperor should appear before his people and nobles.

『Golden Bamboo Jade Slab』

『Description - Jade Slab needed to enter the Golden Bamboo Sect and get 50% discounts in any of their restaurants.』

’Maybe this will be useful in the future.’ Aditya put it in his storage ring.

『Meridian Tempering Pill』

『Rank - Peak 5-star』

『Description - Stabilises cultivation after breakthrough. Taking more than one pill at a time is extremely harmful to the Cultivation of the user and, in some severe cases, even sends the user into a deep coma lasting 3 to 5 months.』

『Quantity - 11』

’Useful!’ He immediately put it aside. He didn’t need it for personal use. He was planning on putting these pills in the reward system. Nobles and Military officials can earn merit points and use those points to redeem valuable cultivation resources.

『Portable Formation Flags』

『Rank - Beginner 5-star』

『Description - When four flags are placed in a square formation, they create a temporary concealment barrier for 15 minutes. When activated, the formation can even deceive the eyes of Beginner 6th-order cultivators. But against a sensory Beginner 6th-order cultivator, the formation have 50% less chances of working.』

’For now, I will keep it to myself.’ At this current strength, even a hundred Peak 5th-order cultivators would give him no challenge. It was useless to keep such a good artefact with him when he won’t even use it.

’But once I become a 5-star runemaster, I can study this artefact and make more of these Portable Formation Flags.’ Because within the Six Continents, these artefacts will be extremely useful.

『Voice Transmission Talisman』

『Rank - Peak 4-star』

『Description - One-time use talisman that sends a whisper to a bonded receiver within 250 Km (155 miles).』

『Quantity - 19』

’Good stuff!’ Aditya decided to keep a few to himself and sent the rest to the treasury to be used by the Military. He had already made long-distance communication artefacts. But using this artefact, he felt he could further improve the ones he made.

There was no shame in improving your creation by taking inspiration from something else. This isn’t copying.

『Broken Jade Technique Shard – ”Heavenly Severing Step”』

『Rank - 5-star Passive Skill』

『Description -Only contains the movement portion of a lost assassination art. Grants instant short-range displacement, but tears muscles if overused.』

’I have feeling that this Skill will be perfect for Nathan.’ Since it was decided, the first person to learn this skill will be Nathan. Then Amber and others can try to learn the same Skill. Since it was a passive skill, anyone could learn it. But those that have Shadow Affinity will consume so much less Mana when using this Passive skill.

『Memory-Sealed Bone Tablet』

『Rank Mid 6-star』

『Description - Requires Soul Force to activate. Another method of activating is 9 Human Scarifices. Once activated, the tablet will open a portal to Pocket Dimension.』

Hearing this, Aditya’s breath quickened. This was a huge revealation.

’There is even really high chance that this Pocket Dimension might be one of the bases of the Organization or the Permanant Base of the organization.’ Aditya knew that he had to check it out. But he didn’t wanted to directly rush into this Pocket Dimension without making any preparations.

The next item that Aditya took out was a notebook.

Seeing this, he became excited. He quickly opened the notebook.

But a few seconds later, he became confused.

On the notebooks were names of people whom he didn’t recognize.

But then a sentence cleared all of his doubts.

[A list of targets to be Assassinated in the upcoming months.]

And the make it worse, there were at least 10 names on the List. As for the rest of the notebook, it was empty.

’First, I need to confirm if any of the 10 names on the list have been killed.’ This matter was very important. Aditya also saw it as an opportunity. As saving their lives could be very beneficial in the future.

He decided to pause on going through storage rings and first find someone who could give him answers.
