Dragon Monarch System

The Dune Sovereignty___

Late in the night, Evans returned to the Mansion.

After landing on the balcony of his room, Evans made to scan the surroundings. Seeing that no one noticed him, Evans sighed in relief. If anyone saw him, he would need to either reveal where he went and what he did or lie. Evans wasn’t in a position to reveal what he did or where he went, so he would be left with the choice of lying. If that didn’t convince them, he would have no choice but to use violence. After all, the fact that he is a secret agent of the Emperor to keep an eye on the Crown Prince must remain a secret no matter what. ‘After what His Royal Highness has done, I doubt he will remain a candidate to inherit the Throne. The worst thing that can happen would be the Crown Prince’s death. But I doubt His Majesty would do that.’ No matter what he did, the Emperor still should have some soft spots for his own biological son. ‘This means the Crown Prince will most likely be put in jail. As others who helped him, including that Succubus, they all will be killed.’

Till that time comes, Evans needs to keep his mouth shut. When it comes time, it would be up to the Emperor how he wants to do things. If Charles wants he can reveal that he learned everything from Evans. But this would mean in the future, Evans wouldn’t be able to stay with the Crown Prince and keey an eye on him. ‘Hopefully, this happens!! For me, this is the best possible outcome in this situation.’ Evans was sick and exhausted from babysitting the Crown Prince for over 500 years. ‘If I was tied to the Crown Prince, then by now, I would have reached Mid-6th-order or maybe even higher Order.’ Before the Crown Prince was born or was about to be born, Evans came to Emperor Charles to ask for his permission to head to the Main Continent to pursue Higher Order cultivation but the Emperor did not grant him permission. Instead, he received the order to babysit the Crown Prince. ‘If only there was a way to remove this cursed Soul-Binding Contract.’ It had been a few thousands of years since Evans signed the Soul Binding Contract with the Emperor. At that time, this Contract was like the key to a treasure dove that would give him everything to reach Peak 5th-order. But as centuries passed, Evans realized that as an immortal cultivator, even if he hadn’t signed the contract, as long as he kept things slow and safe, he would eventually reach Peak’s 5th-order Realm. Although this way of reaching Peak 5th-order cultivation would have been really slow. There wasn’t even any certainty that he would even reach Peak 5th-order. After all, the resources needed to reach Peak 5th-order are controlled by all Empires and Kingdoms throughout the Six Continents. But that still would have been better than being forced to live his life as a slave. At least, he would have retained his freedom. ‘If my past self had my present self’s knowledge, then there is no doubt that I would have reached peak 5th-order without needing to be a slave of any Emperor.’

Evans also accepted that there was no use in crying over what already had happened. Just as he closed the door of the balcony, a figure came out of the shadow. She came out from the shadow and stood on the roof of the Mansion. “Interesting!!!” It was Emma.

Emma had a smile on her face. “Now that the Emperor is aware of our plan, it seems Garrick is destined to fail.” Emma felt a little bit frustrated. It took her so much effort and tons of words to manipulate Garrick to turn against the very person that he idolized. Now, thanks to an unexpected twist, all of her plans had failed. “It seems this whole mission will end in a failure.” But that did not mean Emma was going to give up. Her objection to her Mission is to weaken the Royal Family as much as possible. This whole plan was to help someone from the Royal Family. It wasn’t hard to guess who would benefit the most from all of these things. ‘If Lady Sasha was here, then she could have killed everything within one night.’ ‘But then again, killing was never the top priority of this Mission. The priority of this mission was to divide the Royal family and create hatred among each other.’

‘If I had known things would turn out like this, then I wouldn’t have given Garrick the idea of sparing the Prime Minister.’ Emma knew that it was a matter of time before the Emperor confronted Garrick, and the order to capture her was given. ‘Depending upon the situation, I still should have 5 to 6 hours left in my hand.’

Emma looked at the sky with a grin. ‘This much time is more than enough.’

‘Enough to destroy some very important things.’

‘I should begin with the Prime Minister.’ Emma once again disappeared into the darkness. All of the Peak 5th-order cultivators in this Mansion weren’t able to sense her. Using the darkness to her advantage, Emma appeared in front of the Prime Minister. Eldric was in his room. There was a leather collar around his neck. It was a Mana suppression collar that suppressed his powers as a cultivator. This meant that with this collar on his neck, there was no way for him to escape.

And if he did manage to escape, Garrick still held his family. Besides, the collar also had the function of tightening. This means Garrick could end his life in a few seconds if he fled. The collar would choke him to death. “I hate feeling this useless.” If Garrick succeeded, then Eldric would have no option left. His family would forever become the Crown Prince’s hostages, and he would have no choice but to serve Garrick forever. “Hopefully, His Majesty won’t fall for his tricks.” Although he did not know how they were going to remove Charles from power, he was sure that direct or head-to-head confrontation with the Emperor wasn’t an option for them. Garrick did not have the power to take down all the Peak 5th-order cultivators, including Charles himself, who was also one of the strongest in the Empire. He was a cultivator who had lived for over 15000+ years. The thousands of years of experience made Charles very dangerous. Eldric even felt that Charles’s strength should be very close to calamity class if he went all out in a fight. This meant using all the artifacts in his possessions, including his 5-star weapons and 5-star full-body armor set. This means that Garrick has no choice but to use some kind of indirect means to take down Charles. Eldric was worried that the Emperor might fall for Garrick’s tricks. After all, the Prime Minister knew just how much the Emperor trusted his son. “You should be worrying about yourself.” Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice from behind. As Eldric hurriedly turned around, he was stunned to see Emma lying on the bed. “Sir Eldric, please relax. I am not going to eat you,” Emma said in a casual tone. “How did you come here?” Eldric asked with a serious face. ‘This woman is more dangerous than I initially expected.’ Eldric felt that this woman was ten times more dangerous than Garrick. “An Assassin has her ways of sneaking in and out of secure places.” Although there were multiple Peak 5th-order cultivators in this Mansion, no one was able to sense Emma in the room where the Prime Minister was being kept. Hearing her words, Eldric felt a chill running down his spine. “How is this even possible?” Even if she was an assassin, how could Emma get past all the Peak 5th-order cultivators and enter his bedroom? ‘There is only one assassination Organization in the Six Continents that has such powerful and deadly Assassins.’

“You’re a member of the Black Lotus.” Emma’s response was a beautiful smile. But to Eldric, it was the devil of the most terrifying being on the entire Planet. Shu…..!!!

Emma put her index finger on her lips and signaled Eldric to remain silent. “That’s not important,” Emma said while glancing at the moon. In around 30 minutes, the night will come to an end. ‘If a member of the Black Lotus is here, then it means that someone is definitely targeting the Royal Family. Just like I suspected, all of this is Manipulated by one person.’

Given how smart Eldric was, it did not take long for him to realize that regardless of whether Garrick managed to remove Charles from power or not, after this whole thing, their relationship would be broken beyond repair. ‘The whole Royal Family will be broken.’

‘If that’s the case, then the reason why she is here is…!!!’ Realizing this, Eldric felt a chill running down his spine. His face turned pale. ‘Even if I am going to die, I would not let your plan succeed.’ “Everyone….!!” Eldric was about to yell out loud, but Emma’s next sentence shut his mouth. “Careful what you wish for. Because your wish will come with a consequence.” Her eyes and tone became really sharp. “In your case, you should worry about your family members.”

“Even if you die, at least your family will live.” Hearing this, Eldric knew that he would need to make a painful decision today. His loyalty towards the Dune Sovereignty was never more than his love towards his family. When given the choice between loyalty and love, Eldric was not confused. His path was clear. “Do it!!!” Eldric said after taking a deep breath. “Very good!!! You’re a smart man, Eldric.” Emma felt pity that she had to kill someone like him. But this was the best opportunity. He was the strategist. Killing him would really benefit the Istarin Empire. In fact, Emma did not want to do this, which is why he pursued Garrick to spare Eldric. But she had no other choice. The plan was exposed. Now, she had to go with plan B. —————-
