Dragon Monarch System

“Capsicum…!!!” Aditya looked at the green and red pieces of Capsicum on his plate and slightly frowned. Today’s breakfast was very simple. It was rice with Scrambled Peppers and Eggs. It’s not like Aditya hated eating Capsicum. But he wasn’t that fond of this vegetable. Capsicum was the only vegetable that he never wanted to eat. Lara noticed the slight and barely noticeable frown on Aditya’s face while staring at his plate. At first, she did not understand the situation. But a few seconds later, she understood what upset her husband. “Walter and Watson, why don’t you two sit down and have breakfast with us?” Asked Julia. “Yeah, you two should join us.” Watson and Walter looked at each other and smiled. “Thank you for asking, but we already had breakfast,” Watson responded while Walter nodded along. “Sir…!!” A servant called Watson from behind. Watson quickly excused himself. He left all of his work on Walter’s shoulders and left the living room. Meanwhile, after staring at his plate for a few seconds, Aditya finally started eating. Seeing all this, Lara secretly smiled. “Lara, why are you smiling?” Lilith noticed Lara smiling and asked.

“It’s Nothing…!!” Lara wanted to keep this a secret. Lilith felt that Lara was hiding something interesting. She was about to ask Lara another question when Watson interrupted everyone’s meal.

“Your Majesty, this is urgent…!!” Aditya immediately stopped eating and got up. Under everyone’s stares, Watson gave him a letter and an object. The object was about the size of his fist, star-shaped, and made out of blue crystal. In the center of the object, there was a hole where a small, inch-sized red sphere floated, seemingly held in place by some magnetic force rather than being physically connected to the object.

As soon as Aditya held the object which turned out to be an artifact, he got the information of it. 『Aetheric Link Sphere』

『Peak 4-star (☆☆☆☆☆)』

『Description – A brilliant star-shaped artifact crafted from a rare blue crystal, its creation is attributed to an ancient and mysterious Artificer, Thalorin. The Aetheric Link Sphere is more than 10,000+ years old. Over the years, the artifact has seen countless users.』

『Function 1 – «Spiritual Realm Convergence» ? The Aetheric Link Sphere is a one-time-use artifact that facilitates a meeting between two individuals in the spiritual realm. The artifact features a floating red sphere at its center, held in place by mystical forces. When activated, the artifact establishes a connection to another core artifact held by the owner. Users are then transported to the spiritual realm, where they can communicate without the constraints of the physical world. After one use, the Aetheric Link Sphere shatters, reverting to ordinary, inert crystal fragments.』

When Aditya opened the letter and read it, his expression became serious.

“Use the artifact, I will be waiting to have a conversation with you.”

“Who brought this letter?” Aditya asked Watson. “According to the guards, a boy of 11 years old brought this letter to the entrance of the Dragon Palance. The guards have stopped the boy from leaving. He is currently outside of the Dragon Palace.” “Go and ask him who gave him this letter and this artifact.” Watson nodded and then left. Aditya then looked at others and said. “I will be in my office.” Saying that, he teleported to his office. Aditya sat down on the couch. Everything around him changed as he inserted his mana into the Aetheric Link Sphere. ‘This is the fourth time I have entered the spiritual realm.’ The first time was when he met Lara’s parents. The second time was when he met the Origin Dragon. The third time was when he met the mysterious woman. And now was his fourth time. The scenery around Aditya completely changed. He found himself standing in front of a throne. Everything but the throne was covered in darkness. The Throne was emitting a strong golden light. A person was sitting on the throne. He wore a black cloak and concealed his face under a hood that was attached to it. But Aditya can tell that he was a male. “Why don’t you sit down so that we can talk?” A chair appeared behind Aditya as he snapped his fingers. But he did not sit down. He chose to keep standing. Sitting down would be the same as accepting that Aditya was beneath this man. There is no way that the Dragon Monarch would sit down. “What do you want?” Aditya asked without changing his expression. Seeing Aditya refusing to sit, the man snapped his fingers again. The scenerary around them again once.

Now, they were sitting facing each other. Between them, there was a small tea table. They were in a meeting room similar to Aditya’s office. It was daytime outside. There was a lush green forest just outside. Aditya still could not see the man’s face. It was as if the man had hidden his face using some sort of dark spell. “Who are you?” Aditya changed his question. But the man did not reply. “Dragon Monarch, let’s have a good chat.” “You can call me Ghost.” “Why are you doing all of this? What is your purpose?” Aditya cannot feel anything about this man. He cannot sense his Aura even though he is sitting in front of Aditya. He cannot sense what order cultivator he was. “Aetheric Link Sphere will break in 5 minutes. Since we are short on time, I will satisfy your curiosity by answering your question.” “What I want is the Crown of Seven Seas and the remains of the World Treasure.” These two things were priceless treasures. Aditya wasn’t willing to trade these two things to stop the invasion of the Homunculus. “If you know that I have the remains of the World Treasure, then you must also have seen my battle against the Vampire King,” Aditya asked. “I have.”

“I was very impressed by your power. I have also watched your battle with the nine-headed-Hydra.” “I admit that there is no stopping you. You’re the strongest cultivator in the whole world right now. Within the six continents, there is no one who can stop you.” “But….!!”

“I may not be powerful enough to stop you, but the real question is, are you strong enough to protect the Istarin Empire from everything ?” Even though Aditya cannot see his face, he can tell that this man was grinning while saying these words. Aditya did not reply back. He calmly stared at Ghost.

“I have seen your battle with the Hydra.”

“At that very moment, I knew that I could not win against you.”

“If my men had never been captured by your troops, then I wouldn’t have changed my plan. Perhaps, our first meeting would have been very different.” “I wouldn’t have shown myself this early.”

“I know that by now you have learned of all the abilities of my Homunculus. ‘Voidfigures’ that’s a very nice name that you have come up with. I guess, from now on, I will also call them Voidfigures.” The next second, a chest board appeared on the tea table. Aditya got the white pieces while Ghost intentionally took the black pieces. He was also holding the King piece. On Aditya’s side, the King piece of the white side was missing. “You see, there can only be one King here, wouldn’t you agree?” Aditya looked at him and nodded his head. “Even the False King can become the Real King if he wins but that will never happen.” Ghost was the False King trying to beat the Real King. “Hahaha…!! As expected….!!” Surprisingly Ghost just laughed at Aditya’s comment. It was as if he was amused. “If I had time, then I would have played a chess match with you.” “Now on the matter of Voidfigures, let me tell you, I have millions of Voidfigures. I have been slowly increasing the number using the Mana Hearts of Dead Cultivators. This is the first time my plan was exposed.” “You’re the one who made my allies turn against me?” Aditya was not completely sure about this. He made a wild guess, firing an arrow into the darkness and waiting to see if it hit the target.

The ghost paused for a second. He was surprised that Aditya discovered this. ‘I guess, it’s easy to connect all the dots and make a guess. But it’s already too late. Even if you have realized it now, there is nothing that you can do to stop us.’ “Yes…..!!! My partner Luna has been doing a wonderful job.” ‘Could it this is the same Goddess Luna that I heard about?’ Aditya felt this was most likely the case here. Ghost noticed that only 30 seconds were left. 30 seconds!!

“In a few hours, the Silver Meadow Grove will become a battlefield. My whole army will attack the Istarin Empire from that side. We won’t stop until the Capital has fallen.” “Then we will be waiting.” Aditya wasn’t afraid of a battle. ‘Ghost’ then stood up as it was time to leave. “You can give me what I want or face millions of 5th-order Duplicates.” Hearing this, Aditya’s expression slightly changed.

“You can decide to face millions of 5th-order Duplicates. The choice is yours.”

“If you do make a decision, you can surrender.”

“My army will attack from the Silver Grove Meadow.” Saying that, Ghost disappeared. Aditya also returned to his office.

Their meeting had ended.
