Dragon God Supreme

Chapter 12: Chapter 012: Right to Buy and Sell

“Young Master Feng, about my fire toxin…” Yu Wanxiong truly had no face to speak up, it was indeed difficult for an elder to ask a junior for help.

The main issue was that Yu Wanxiong had offended Feng Wuchen, making it even harder for him to broach the subject.

But there was no other way, who else could he turn to if not Feng Wuchen, who knew how to dispel fire toxin?

Feng Wuchen didn’t reply, but looked at Zhang Han indifferently and said, “Pavilion Master Yu, Manager Zhang, I forgot to tell you, the Feng family does not welcome you. Please leave, and take these things with you.”

“This…” Upon hearing this, both of them became anxious. Yu Wanxiong quickly turned his gaze to Feng Qianyang, hoping that Feng Qianyang would put in a good word for him.

But he was disappointed the moment he looked; Feng Qianyang was actually resting with his eyes closed, showing no intention of intervening.

...

Feng Zhengxiong and Xiao Qingqing also remained silent, as if all decisions were left to Feng Wuchen.

If Yu Wanxiong didn’t apologize, Feng Zhengxiong and the others would definitely not step in.

“Young Master Feng, I beg you, save me. I will do whatever you ask,” Zhang Han refused to give up.

“It’s already too late to regret! How did you treat the Third Young Master at Wanbao Pavilion?” Xiaolan said coldly.

“This…” Yu Wanxiong’s face turned red with embarrassment as he awkwardly said, “Young Master Feng, it was truly wrong of me, and even more so to have insulted Young Master Feng. I hope you can let it go. How about this, if there’s anything in Wanbao Pavilion that Young Master Feng desires, any treasure can be given to make amends. How does that sound?”

“The treasures of Wanbao Pavilion? I am not interested,” Feng Wuxin shook his head.

Feng Qianyang narrowed his eyes at Yu Wanxiong and soon closed them again, wondering, “Wuchen asked me to spread the news about expelling the fire toxin to Wanbao Pavilion purely to bait Yu Wanxiong into offering us some treasure. But why does he say he’s not interested? What exactly is this boy up to?”

Hearing Feng Wuchen speak, even if it was to express disinterest, Yu Wanxiong’s heart leaped with joy, as this at least indicated there was room for negotiation.

If Feng Wuchen had remained silent or simply thrown them out, then there would have been no room at all for discussion.

“Young Master Feng, how about a Lower Grade Profound Rank martial technique?” Yu Wanxiong probed, his aging face still showing a trace of pride.

“Lower Grade Profound Rank martial technique?” Feng Zhengxiong’s eyes twitched, clearly moved.

Not only Feng Zhengxiong, but the three elders and Xiao Qingqing showed signs of shock on their faces.

Seeing their stunned expressions, Yu Wanxiong grew even more prideful, and Zhang Han began to kindle hope.

Despite being a Lower Grade Profound Rank martial technique, for Unmatched City, it was an invaluably precious treasure, the likes of which the entire Unmatched City could not present!

Yu Wanxiong was able to offer it, which was likely the only such technique in Wanbao Pavilion.

Although a Profound Rank martial technique was priceless, it paled in comparison to one’s life.

The gazes of Feng Zhengxiong and the others turned to Feng Wuchen, keenly interested in his decision.

If the Feng family acquired a Profound Rank martial technique, their strength would most certainly grow stronger, and becoming the foremost of the four great families would undoubtedly not be a problem.

“I’m not interested,” Feng Wuchen’s response nearly drove them to fury.

Yu Wanxiong and Zhang Han almost fell over, their eyes wide as they stared at Feng Wuchen, thinking they had misheard.

This was a Lower Grade Profound Rank martial technique! Feng Wuchen actually said he was not interested?

“Young Master, that’s a Profound Rank martial technique, not a Yellow Rank.” Xiaolan thought Feng Wuchen might have misheard and quickly reminded him in his ear.

“Third brother, do you want to reconsider?” Feng Yuan also hurriedly whispered, clearly very tempted by the Profound Rank martial technique.

“Young Master Feng, it’s a Profound Rank martial technique, not a Yellow Rank.” Yu Wanxiong also hurriedly reminded, he still couldn’t believe what Feng Wuchen had said.

“What is this damn kid thinking? He doesn’t want a Profound Rank martial technique?” Feng Zhengxiong inwardly cursed furiously, wishing he could accept on Feng Wuchen’s behalf.

No one in the Feng family knew what Feng Wuchen was after, nor did they understand what he intended to do.

“I know it’s a Profound Rank martial technique, I heard quite clearly. But these aren’t what I want,” said Feng Wuchen, unmoved. He truly did not hold a Lower Grade Profound Rank in any esteem.

In the memories of the Evil Dragon God, there were countless terrifying martial techniques. How could Feng Wuchen fancy such trash techniques?

“Not what you want?” Zhang Han was bewildered. You don’t desire a Profound Rank martial technique? Aren’t your standards too high?

If the news went out, the people of Unmatched City would probably fight over it until they bled, and it was likely that the four great families would even come to blows over it.

After a moment of stunned silence, Yu Wanxiong asked, “Then what do you want, Young Master Feng? A Profound Rank martial technique is already the most precious treasure of Wanbao Pavilion.”

What worried Yu Wanxiong the most was that Feng Wuchen would desire something he could not provide. If he couldn’t provide it, then all his efforts would be in vain.

Feng Wuchen simply smiled and said, “What I want, Pavilion Master Yu can surely offer.”

Since Feng Wuchen had said he could produce it, Yu Wanxiong couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. He then asked, “I wonder what Young Master Feng would like? If this old man has it, I will certainly give it to Young Master Feng.”

“Pavilion Master Yu, you must think carefully before you answer. If you agree and then go back on your word, you will no longer have the opportunity,” Feng Wuchen said with a slight cold laugh.

“Chen Er, what exactly do you want? Is there anything more precious than Profound Grade martial techniques?” Xiao Qingqing couldn’t help but ask, genuinely unable to think of anything.

Yu Wanxiong furrowed his brows, going over all the treasures in Wanbao Pavilion in his mind, but he couldn’t think of anything more precious than Profound Grade martial techniques.

Profound Grade martial techniques were indeed precious, but for Yu Wanxiong, they were not much to speak of. As an alchemist, if he could advance to a Second-Grade Alchemist, or even a higher realm, he could have whatever he wanted.

“Very well! As long as Young Master Feng can remove the fire toxin for this old man, no matter what you ask for, I will agree to it.” After careful consideration, Yu Wanxiong agreed readily.

“Good!” Feng Wuchen smiled and said, “I want the trading rights to Wanbao Pavilion’s goods.”

“Wanbao Pavilion’s trading rights?” Upon hearing this, Yu Wanxiong looked at Feng Wuchen with a shocked expression on his face.

“Trading rights?” Feng Zhengxiong and the others also stared at Feng Wuchen in astonishment.

Feng Wuchen was just a sixteen-year-old youth who knew nothing about business. Why did he want the trading rights? The Feng family had no goods to sell.

Moreover, the Feng family had their own shops, quite a few, more than a dozen in fact, so they certainly didn’t need any trading rights.

“Third brother, why do you need these trading rights? Doesn’t our Feng family have thirteen shops?” Feng Zhan, his second brother, curiously asked.

“I have my uses,” Feng Wuchen replied, looking again at Yu Wanxiong. “Pavilion Master Yu, the trading rights I speak of mean that all trades in Wanbao Pavilion must go through me. Of course, I don’t want a single coin of Wanbao Pavilion’s earnings. I only want my share of what I earn.”

“This…” Zhang Han was dumbfounded. He couldn’t decide on such matters.

Yu Wanxiong’s face turned unsightly. Giving the trading rights to Feng Wuchen was akin to handing Wanbao Pavilion over to someone else.

Wanbao Pavilion was Yu Wanxiong’s life’s work. How could he just give it away?

Feng Wuchen might not understand business, but the Feng family did. If Wanbao Pavilion were to be emptied by the Feng family, wouldn’t Yu Wanxiong be left with nothing?

Therefore, Yu Wanxiong was unsure how to choose.

“If Pavilion Master Yu does not agree, it’s not too late to regret your decision now,” Feng Wuchen said with an indifferent attitude.

“Chen Er wants the trading rights to Wanbao Pavilion? Could it be…” Feng Zhengxiong furrowed his brow, seemingly having guessed something.

“Wanbao Pavilion’s power is not inferior to the Feng family’s. If this lad can remove the fire toxin for this old man, and once I advance to a Second Grade Alchemist, that would be worth more than Wanbao Pavilion. Furthermore, with the strength of the Feng family, they wouldn’t dream of swallowing Wanbao Pavilion whole,” Yu Wanxiong calculated in his mind.

After thinking it through, Yu Wanxiong said, “Fine! I agree to your terms!”

“Pavilion Master Yu, you will feel fortunate for your decision today in the future,” Feng Wuxin said with a smile.

“I wonder what treasures Young Master Feng plans to sell?” Yu Wanxiong inquired curiously.

“What treasures could this brat possibly sell?” Feng Zhengxiong said irritably, apparently still angry about Feng Wuchen’s decision.

“That’s a secret,” Feng Wuchen said with a light smile.

“Young Master Feng, when can you help me remove the fire toxin?” Yu Wanxiong asked. The torment of the fire toxin was unbearable, and he no longer wanted to suffer from it.

“Anytime is fine. However, the toxin removal has to be in three sessions, and for the time being, it can’t be completely cured. The elder’s fire toxin hasn’t been completely cured either, but it won’t affect the progression of your alchemy realm,” Feng Wuchen said flatly.

“What about me?” Zhang Han asked anxiously.

“That depends on your performance. Or perhaps if someday I’m in a good mood, I might save you,” Feng Wuchen said with a cold laugh.

“Yes! Rest assured, Young Master Feng, I will give it my all!” Zhang Han nodded repeatedly, finally feeling reassured as at least he still had a chance.

Then, Feng Wuchen employed an extraordinarily mysterious technique to help Yu Wanxiong purge the fire toxin. The toxin was extremely dreadful, and throughout the process, Yu Wanxiong’s entire meridians turned black, eventually dispersing as wisp after wisp of dark vapor.

In no time, the magical and mysterious technique helped Yu Wanxiong rid himself of much of the fire toxin, giving him an incredible feeling of relief, as if he had grown younger by a decade.

“Such a miraculous technique, to remove the fire toxin so effortlessly. Thank you, Young Master Feng!” Yu Wanxiong was immensely grateful. Only having experienced it firsthand did he realize how potent and magical Feng Wuchen’s technique was.

“No need for thanks, Pavilion Master Yu. From now on, we are one and the same,” Feng Wuchen said with a smile.

“This youngster is no simple character. How had no one noticed before? He hardly seems like a sixteen-year-old boy; instead, he’s shrewd beyond his years. He’s not useless but a prodigy. To break through from the Fourth Layer to the Seventh Level in half a month, even those with a Ninth Grade Martial Soul talent might not be capable of that,” Yu Wanxiong thought to himself.

With that thought, Yu Wanxiong asked, “Young Master Feng, when do you plan to take control of the trading rights of Wanbao Pavilion?”

With the corner of his mouth curving slightly upwards, Feng Wuchen laughed coldly, “Right now. Steward Zhang, after you return, immediately cease all business cooperation between Wanbao Pavilion and the Yang family. In cities outside of Wushuang City, any who do business with the Yang family, Wanbao Pavilion will cut off business dealings with them.”

“Just as expected! This lad really is planning to target the Yang family, and his move is quite fierce,” Feng Zhengxiong thought to himself, internally commending the strategy.
