Online, those following the competition stirred up a new wave of frantic discussion.

On many medical forums, people were posting threads to discuss the matter.

The forums for Zhao Yuan’s own West Hua Medical University were especially abuzz.

Someone started a dedicated thread to apologize to Zhao Yuan: ”I originally thought there was no way Zhao Yuan could win this competition. Now I know I wasn’t just wrong—I was spectacularly wrong!”

The post was only a few short sentences, but it attracted a flood of replies.

”OP, I’m with you.”

”I never would’ve imagined that Liu Lili, who was considered incurable, would actually be recovering day by day under Zhao Yuan’s treatment. Meanwhile, Kawashima Haruhiro, whose problem didn’t seem like a big deal to most people, has seen his condition deteriorate drastically in just two days! And the most crucial part is that so many masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine have gathered, and they’re all powerless. The outcome of this competition is truly mind-blowing!”

”I was so sure Zhao Yuan was going to lose, but the current situation has proven me wrong. I’ve been totally owned, but I love it! Keep owning us, Zhao Yuan! Hit us even harder!”

”You’ve got to hand it to him. Zhao Yuan is basically taking on the entire Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine community all by himself! He’s just too incredible. First, he single-handedly took down the Jinling Zhao Family, and now he’s taking down all these masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine. He’s ridiculously awesome!”

Compared to the cheering and celebration in China, the online discussions about this matter in Japan were steeped in pessimism.

”It’s over. So many masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine have gathered, but none of them can cure Mr. Kawashima’s illness.”

”What the hell is this strange disease that bastard Kawashima has? Why have so many masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine consulted on it without any results? At this rate, we’re probably going to lose!”

”We’re doomed to lose, absolutely doomed! The ’battle for the legacy,’ the ’national battle’—it’s all going to collapse!”

”There was so much hype before. I really thought we were guaranteed to win this competition. I thought Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine was truly countless times better than Traditional Chinese Medicine. Only today do I realize that all that talk was just boasting. They were all lies!”

”So many masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine can’t even beat a single first-year university student. It’s utterly humiliating!”

The mood of the people on-site was largely the same as those following the competition online.

On the Chinese side, every face was beaming with joy.

To be honest, even those who had the most faith in Zhao Yuan never thought he had a chance of winning this competition. They certainly never imagined that Kawashima Haruhiro’s illness would be so bizarre that even a gathering of so many masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine would be completely powerless.

Time passed, and afternoon arrived.

At 5:15, Zhao Yuan walked into Kawashima Haruhiro’s examination room.

At this moment, even the corridor outside the examination room was packed with masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine. Seeing Zhao Yuan approach, they all glared at him furiously.

If looks could kill, Zhao Yuan would have already been sliced into a thousand pieces by their stares.

Despite being stared down by the hateful and furious eyes of over a hundred people, Zhao Yuan was not the least bit intimidated. He remained perfectly calm, as if the masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine glaring at him were nothing more than a swarm of ants.

This dismissive attitude infuriated the masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine even more, but there was nothing they could do to him. The frustration was almost enough to kill them.

”What are you doing here? Have you come to mock us?” Genji Doju demanded, his face as black as the bottom of a pot when he saw Zhao Yuan enter the examination room.

Having not slept all night, his spirits were low, and his voice was raw and hoarse.

Zhao Yuan shook his head and replied, ”No. I’m here to inform you that it’s time for this competition to end.”

As soon as he said this, an uproar swept through the room.

Genji Doju waved his hand, signaling for his companions to quiet down before asking, ”What do you mean by that? Are you planning to concede?”

”Concede?” Zhao Yuan let out a snort of laughter and said sarcastically, ”Do you really think that’s possible? The competition is ending because my patient has fully recovered and is ready to be discharged.”

”What did you say? Liu Lili is cured? That’s impossible!” Genji Doju cried out in shock.

Although he had seen a great improvement in Liu Lili’s condition yesterday morning, in his judgment, she was still a long way from being fully cured. That was why he had rushed over to participate in the consultation and agreed to let other masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine join in. The goal was to cure Kawashima Haruhiro before Liu Lili’s condition completely recovered.

But now, they had no solution for Kawashima Haruhiro’s illness, yet Liu Lili was cured and about to be discharged... This was an outcome they couldn’t and wouldn’t believe.

Zhao Yuan took out a stack of lab reports and brandished them. ”This is Liu Lili’s psychiatric evaluation report. After assessment by multiple authoritative experts in the field of mental illness, her mental state has returned to a normal level. To prevent any suspicion that this report was falsified, we specifically invited experts from Europe and America to conduct the evaluation.”

Genji Doju stepped forward, snatched the evaluation report, and read it carefully. His expression grew even darker.

After passing the report to the person beside him, he said in a somewhat dejected tone, ”I want to examine Liu Lili’s condition myself.”

”You may,” Zhao Yuan agreed to his request.

With so many experts present, as well as media reporters conducting interviews and live broadcasts, Genji Doju wouldn’t dare try any funny business, even if he wanted to.

Genji Doju followed Zhao Yuan to Liu Lili’s examination room. Kawashima Haruhiro and a group of masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine trailed closely behind them.

After conducting a thorough and complex examination of Liu Lili, Genji Doju was finally convinced that her illness was indeed cured.

”Her illness... is indeed cured. We have lost this competition. We’ve lost completely...”

Genji Doju wanted to deny the result, but the facts were laid bare before him. So many people had seen it, and it was even being live-streamed online and recorded for television.

How could he possibly deny it?

After conceding defeat with extreme reluctance, Genji Doju swayed violently. He felt his vision suddenly go black, and his body slumped as he fainted.

Kawashima Haruhiro and his junior brothers were startled. They rushed to support Genji Doju, one pinching his philtrum while another pressed his Neiguan acupoint.

The other masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine, however, had no mind to pay attention to this matter at the moment.

They were all stunned by the words Genji Doju had just spoken.

’We lost?’

’This competition we were supposed to win, this battle for the legacy, this national battle... we actually lost?’

’And we lost so completely!’

’Over a hundred masters of Japanese Traditional Chinese Medicine couldn’t even beat a single first-year student from China... The shame is just too immense!’

For a moment, the examination room fell deathly silent, but it was immediately followed by a tsunami-like eruption of cheers.
