Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2329 Cleaning Up

A group of silver-armored immortals arrived in the mountain valley where Eldia successfully crossed her tribulation. Their blazing undulations scorched the air as they didnʼt seem to suppress their power.

Each one of them seemed to be on an immortal beast, and if Davis and the others were here, they would recognize these beasts to be the Windblade Stripe Hawks, Cloud Descending Sparrows, and Sky Reaching Cranes.

Their silver-colored armor was not awkward or disproportionate but almost skintight to their figures as though it was made for them. These armors seemed to be made of powerful silk and threads, and there were literally hundreds, and thousands of such threads wound and knit around each other to make a sturdy yet light armor.

There also seemed to be runes on top of the armor inscribed by the threads themselves. It was unknown what their value was, but the fact that there was not only one rune but many powerful runes capable of blocking Late Immortal Stage attacks indicated that these armors were significantly expensive and even perhaps determined status.

In front of all of the silver-armored immortals, there was also a Burning Phoenix carrying a golden-armored immortal who seemed to be their leader. His armor seemed to be more robust than the others.

Nonetheless, this party appeared as though most were Fire Phoenixes, while some were feys and humans with Fire Phoenix blood within them. There was not a single spirit among them.

”Whatʼs this?” Instantly, a long crimson-haired silver armored immortal noticed something on the peak of the valleyʼs hill, ”Isnʼt that Vacuous Beastʼs blood? There was one hiding here?”

He was a man who exuded Level Seven Immortal undulations. He alighted his Windblade Stripe Hawk and neared the pool of blood. He looked around, noticing that the Vacuous Beast had fallen to the other side and was genuinely dead.

”Idiot. The question should be who killed it.”

A female silver-haired immortal moved forward with her Cloud Descending Sparrow, causing the long, crimson-haired man to scoff.

”Youʼre the idiot. Judging by the aura of the blood, the Vacuous Beast shouldʼve been nothing more than a Level Two Immortal Vacuous Beast. Any random immortal with a perfected Immortal Vessel should be able to kill it. What are you going on about?”

”You-! Canʼt you see that there isnʼt anyone here? If they killed the Vacuous Beast, why wouldnʼt they want a reward? Do you not know killing a Vacuous Beast of this level can net them twenty-thousand immortal crystals!?”

”Perhaps, they donʼt know of a reward...” The golden-armored immortal commented in a bland tone.

His indifferent tone caused the two of them to become silent.

”Look at that...” Another silver-armored immortal pointed towards the valley, ”At the place where the lava is surging… thereʼs signs of the aftermath of heavenly lightning strikes while its aura is slightly detectable. The skies were also darker when we were in the distance, but now, it has slightly cleared. I think itʼs plausible that the one who killed that Vacuous Beast underwent a heavenly tribulation.”

He also had crimson hair like everyone else in this group, but he also sported a stylish beard, appearing suave as he hypothesized.

”You mean to say that that person had just become an immortal but slain a Level Two Immortal Vacuous Beast?”

The female immortal raised her brows while the long-haired man smirked.

”Then that means that immortal shouldʼve at least created a perfected Immortal Vessel as I said...”

”But the thing is that this person is a spirit who seems to have fought with heavenly lightning up to this place before disappearing.”

The suave silver-armored immortal continued as he pointed at the center of the valley to the hill.

”A spirit?”

The others only slightly raised their brows, but it didnʼt seem to be a problem while the suave man still kept frowning his brows, wondering what had happened.

”Perhaps they used a spatial talisman?” The female immortal guessed.

”Then that wouldʼve left spatial undulations...”

”What about an Obtrusive Spatial Talisman? Didnʼt we just receive word that woman had one to leave and return?”

”An Obtrusive Spatial Talisman?” The suave man gawked at the crimson-haired beauty, ”Do you think those things are easy to obtain? Do you know how much a single one of them costs? If this immortal who broke through could afford something like that, then they wouldnʼt come to this abandoned and unprotected place to make a breakthrough.”

”How do you know if-”

”Enough!”

The golden-armored immortal interrupted the both of them, his stature remaining high as he sat on the huge Burning Phoenix. The immortals who went to investigate returned as they had their heads lowered, not daring to say a word.

”Report to the Starsky Flame Cityʼs City Lord that there was an anomaly that needs further investigation in this region. Thatʼs it for us. Weʼll continue our journey to retrieve the Thirty-Fourth Fire Phoenix City Lordʼs corpse after we attend his funeral. Move out.”

The golden-armored immortal commanded, causing everyone to stand at attention as they raised their voices. .

”Yes!~”

Subsequently, the group of armored immortals left, seemingly leaving the scene as it is.

Shortly after, this group of immortals arrived at the Thirty-Fourth Fire Phoenix City and looked at the devastated ruins of the City Lord Palace, becoming shocked and enraged, but they held their anger in check before they attended the funeral and claimed the City Lordʼs corpse, bringing it back to the Starsky Flame City.

”Itʼs unfortunate that this City Lord already used his species technique to revive himself in his early years of working hard for our race. Thereʼs no way he can be brought back to life through Nirvanic Rebirth, especially not this late.”

The suave man sighed, and perhaps the others were influenced by his words, the female immortal could no longer control herself and threw her head above, screaming out loud.

”Aghh! How dare the Aurora Cloud Gate treat us like this? Do they think that they can appear from nowhere and behead one of our City Lords just like that and leave!? Why are we, the Great Fire Phoenix Race, not doing anythi-”

Quickly, the long crimson-haired mouth appeared beside her and sealed her mouth with his hand, causing her to stiffen as her ears turned red.
