Death… And Me

Chapter 3457: Here I Come!

Since Rean, Roan, and Kentucky were all providing Celis with some of their cultivation, they didn’t lose much, while Celis gained a lot. Celis cultivation grew at an alarming rate, something that you would never expect to happen in normal circumstances.

Stage one...

Stage two...

Stage three...

Four, five, six, seven, eight, nine...

Transition Realm! It continued to increase, sky energy coming like floods into his body.

Meanwhile, Rean, Roan and Kentucky felt their cultivations dropping, but at a much slower pace. Peak Stage, Late Stage, Middle Stage...

*Boom!*

A burst of Sky Energy suddenly escaped Celis’ body, now back to quite a big Cedar, although far from his past form. With that, his cultivation quickly increased, and it stabilized in the Initial Stage of the Void Tempering Realm.

Rean, Roan, and Kentucky also felt their cultivations falling one more stage, also returning to the Initial Stage.

[Process complete.]

With the system’s message, the sharing of cultivation energy with Celis was concluded.

”Well, I lost a lot less than I initially expected,” Kentucky commented. ”I thought we would all fall into the Transition Realm.”

Roan shook his head. ”We were already in the Peak Stage of the Void Tempering Realm, and this realm needs many times more Sky Energy than the entire Transition Realm, let alone the Realms below that. With the three of us giving some of our cultivation to Celis, it was expected that he would catch up to us before we fell into the Transition Realm.”

”I see...” Rean nodded. ”Well, that’s good for us. Our strength difference isn’t anything that impressive in the same realm. And with Celis here, recovering these lost stages will be easy.”

”Good!” Kentucky was happy to see that. ”Alright, let’s keep going. Celis will most likely return to the Dimensional Realm to cultivate anyway.”

”Yes, let’s keep going.” Rean and Roan agreed.

”YOUR ARSES!” Celis couldn’t take it anymore. They were talking like he simply accepted everything that just happened and didn’t care. Like hell he didn’t! ”What the fuck is all this shit?! What is this place? First of all, what with these weird bodies of yours? If not for the connection, it would be impossible to tell that you are Rean and Roan, and I know this is not because of Rean’s Body Transformation Technique! I’m not moving a single leaf until you explain everything!”

”Oh, right... you still don’t know what is happening,” Rean scratched the back of his head. ”Well, there is nothing better than a Divine Sense Message for these things.”

And so Rean did. He organized all the information in his head during the next few minutes. Finally, he sent it all to Celis through Divine Sense, explaining all that happened in great detail.

Celis received that burst of information, and it took him even longer to organize everything in his mind before he could say anything. It wasn’t before an hour later that Celis finally understood the whole situation. ”That fucker was behind this? Just what was Soul Gem even thinking? From what Hex mentioned, it seems like he, Hyeoumu, and Soul Gem are all fellow disciples... or brothers, he said... but from where? From a sect? Organization? A master? Or could they truly be siblings? I highly doubt it is the latter, though.”

Rean shrugged. ”Your guesses are as good as ours. We, too, are completely lost in this situation. So you see, we called you here after the system gave us one more use of ’The Call’ ability. That’s because we would be able to cultivate much faster with you around. Besides, I doubt you wouldn’t want to gain the Celestial Bloodline and Soul.”

Celis changed back into his humanoid form, nodding right after. ”I indeed would never let that opportunity go. Anyway, let me see if I understand the situation entirely.”

”You were supposed to have died back then, but Hex saved you in the last moment. Then, for some reason, he brought you here. The strange thing was that he didn’t tell you anything other than the fact we are now in the Werdlem Empire. Without much of a choice, you went out and restarted your cultivation on a mortal planet.”

”You acquired information regarding this Universe and found out the entire Werdlem Empire is kind of a bubble with thousands of Universes trapped inside it for safety. This is just one more of such Universes, and we are quite close to the border of that bubble and the outside.”

”Now you are trying to cultivate again to reach the Divinity Realm. With that, you should be able to leave this Universe and perhaps come out of the bubble... There are many problems, though. That Charybdis said that it would be impossible with just that kind of power, but she could help and asked you to return to her later. There is even a quest now regarding the freedom of primordial beasts.”

”Besides, you finally found information regarding Kentucky’s parents that we never managed to find in Lisan. It is pretty much guaranteed they have some connection with Hyeoumu, Soul Gem, and Hex, too. So now, not only do you want to find a way out, but you also want to go check on Kentucky’s parents... if they are truly his parents.”

”At the moment, we are in the Divine Snow World, another kind of bubble in the Divine Realm of this Universe. Your plan is to try to find a way to the Underworld, and there, with my help, we can cultivate again in the region where the Light Element gathers.”

In the end, Celis shook his head. ”This is so convoluted... It feels more like we could be killed at any moment than anything else.”

”And yet, you don’t seem all that bothered,” Roan spoke with a cold, knowing smile. ”Let me guess... God Realm.”

Those words caused a spark to run through Celis’ soul. ”Hehe... Hahahaha! God Realm! Not only is there a Celestial Realm, but there is also a God Realm above it! Hahahaha! Fuck it all! God Realm, here I come!”

Rean and Kentucky felt helpless. Yes, that is definitely the same Celis they always knew.

”But first,” Celis approached Kentucky, putting a hand on his shoulder and pressing it with quite some strength. His face was now dark, and killing intent flourished. ”Why do I feel the presence of another Divine Tree within you? Uhhhhh?!!!”
