Death… And Me

Chapter 3454: Ridia is Ready

Inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, Rean heard that and faintly smiled, stopping his work for a moment. ’Now, that’s a lot more like it.’

Yet, the system didn’t stop there.

[An additional 28 Celestial Points have been added as an extra reward for the performance.]

’Hum?’ Rean and Roan didn’t expect that. Still, they weren’t that surprised. The system had given extra rewards before, so it was good it gave some now as well. ’Sister Orb, these points...’

[Yeah, no doubt.] Sister Orb noticed the same thing. [28 years was exactly the number of years remaining until the 100-year limit of the quest was reached. We got one Celestial Point for each year... or maybe it is just a coincidence.]

’Hmph!’ Roan didn’t believe that. ’The system almost never gives us broken numbers as rewards. It has to be the remaining years. In any case, it is worth paying attention to time limits from now on.’

Back outside, Ralakia sighed after confirming that Ridia was indeed as good as the twins mentioned she would be. ”Alright, you kept your end of the bargain. However, I hope you didn’t forget the rest of the agreement.”

”Rest?” Kentucky thought about it for a moment. ”Oh! That rest...”

Back then, the agreement was that the twins’ group would help Ridia reach the Elemental Space Realm so she could take part in the Trial for the new representative of the Qlonvi Continent. The other part of it was that Kentucky would be with her.

”That won’t work,” Roan spoke. ”The trial is supposed to be taken alone, isn’t it? Or can anyone join forces? The type of trial is decided by Gian himself, and it must be fair. Otherwise, the other experts from Qlonvi would never accept it.”

Gian was obviously aware of that. ”I know. That’s why my idea is to have a trial in pairs. It can be taken with partners, and at the end, the winner duo would decide between themselves who would become the next representative. If Ridia can have Kentucky to help her... wait!”

”So you noticed, uh?” Roan smiled coldly. ”Are you sure you want him to help her?”

Ralakia got confused for a moment, but she soon noticed the same thing as Gian. ”Kentucky is still in the Peak Stage of the Void Tempering Realm?!” It wasn’t that they hadn’t noticed his cultivation before, but that they hadn’t paid attention since Ridia was their priority. Now that they thought about their plan... it didn’t end well.

Kentucky obviously took the chance to extricate himself from the so-called trial. ”Now you see. There is simply no use to put me together with Ridia. My cultivation is too, too low. What kind of help could I dream to give her? Even if we are connected through the pact, it won’t be enough to make up for the lack of cultivation. I’m too weak.”

Ridia glanced at Kentucky and felt like laughing. Weak? Kentucky was by far the one Ridia trained the most with. Kentucky never held back either, per Roan’s instructions. Even though she was over an entire realm above Kentucky, he still had a slight advantage. She came to understand that Rean, Roan, and Kentucky were truly absolute monsters compared to everyone else. She didn’t mention that, though. It was already part of the plan that Kentucky wouldn’t follow her anymore.

Gian still felt it didn’t make sense. ”How were you able to make Ridia go all the way up to the Elemental Space Realm and yet you didn’t gain a single Realm? You were already in the Initial Stage of the Void Tempering Realm back then.”

”We might be slow, but we are definitely stronger than we look like,” Roan added. ”You saw it yourself back when Kentucky and Ralakia fought. Of course, even if we are stronger than our cultivation might suggest, it is still not enough to bridge the gap between Ridia and Kentucky. Kentucky would truly become nothing more than a burden to her in this trial of yours.”

”F-Father,” Ridia finally pushed Gian away. ”Thank you for your branch. It helped me a lot and showed how much you cared about me. However, I’m not a kid anymore. Besides, they truly trained me like crazy. I’m confident I’m stronger than any Elemental Space Realm expert on this continent. At the very least, I’m not weaker, and that’s considering I’m still in the Initial Stage.”

Gian looked at Ralakia, who didn’t seem to believe it very much. But then again, she saw what Kentucky could do, so she didn’t completely deny that idea. ”Then you have to show us. The future of the demon plants and birds of Qlonvi will be in your hands in the future, after all. Gian, no one is better than you to test your daughter, as you are from the same race.”

Gian nodded, and he quickly suppressed his cultivation to the Initial Stage of the Elemental Space Realm. However, because he had the continent’s blessing, he was way, way stronger than his cultivation showed. ”In that case, let’s give it a try. If you can last a minute against me in this state, I will believe you are strong enough. In that case, I’ll decide on a trial to match it.”

”As for us, we will be taking our leave,” Roan wouldn’t stay there to watch the fight. He knew what Ridia could do, and although she might lose to Gian due to his blessing, she definitely could last more than a minute.

Ralakia narrowed her eyes. ”Trying to run before the results appear?”

”Hahaha!” Kentucky laughed on the side as Roan jumped on his back. ”This is confidence! Confidence that Ridia will blow your mind!” Right after, Kentucky flew away with Roan.

Ralakia tried to stop them, but Ridia spoke up. ”Let them go!” At the same time, her cultivation pressure was released, and she quickly returned to her real form. ”Father said I had to last a minute. Hmph! I won’t just last a minute; I will last forever if necessary!”

As she said that, she sighed inwardly. The goodbyes had already been given, and there was nothing else to be said. They made it clear it was time for her to stand on her own feet. All that was left was pure determination from a grown woman... or tree. ’I’ll go to the Divine Realm one day. Perhaps we will meet there again.’

Gian’s eyes lit up, feeling the sheer power coming from Ridia’s true form. ”They truly did an amazing job. Hahaha! Let’s go!”

By the time Gian finally defeated Ridia, over forty minutes had passed. Gian was certain! No one in the Elemental Space Realm in the Qlonvi Continent could match his daughter. Later on, the twins’ group would find through the Divine Snow World Network that Ridia became the new continent representative.
