Death… And Me

Chapter 3301: Before that...

The twins looked at their bodies, and so did Kentucky at his. Looking from the outside, they couldnʼt see any difference. Even Kentucky, in his Minokawa Form, was the same. Kentucky didnʼt have his enormous size due to his cultivation anymore, though.

However, internally, they couldnʼt be any more different. The twins returned to the very first stage of the Energy Gathering Realm while Kentucky was back at Stage One as Demon Beast. Yet, both the twinsʼ Dantians and Kentuckyʼs Core became history.

They could also feel their souls present in their entire bodies. However, even though their bodies and souls were the same, it didnʼt mean their souls were completely attached to it. Instead, they could move their own souls now and even bring them out of their bodies. Itʼs just that their souls looked enormous compared to any other normal one at the same level.

Their level didnʼt matter now. Since they had contact with the Celestial Laws before, they could feel it at this moment. Their Souls also evolved into Celestial Souls. They just couldnʼt interact with those laws due to the lack of cultivation. That was also stated in the new cultivation technique.

The advantages didnʼt stop there. Their bloodlines took form or evolved in Kentuckyʼs case. Rean and Roan now had the Celestial Humanoid Bloodline, While Kentucky had the Celestial Minokawa Bloodline. In this particular case, Kentuckyʼs bloodline could still be said to be a level above, as it was a real bloodline from the start, so its evolution into a Celestial Bloodline had a better start.

There was no need for the Starlight Body Cultivation Technique anymore for the twins. Their bloodline, which would improve as they cultivated with their Sky Energy, would be even stronger than that. Letʼs not even mention Kentuckyʼs body, which was already ridiculously strong by nature.

*Pin!*

[Transformation completed.]

The systemʼs voice echoed, and their group finally received the confirmation that this was th end.

[How do you guys feel? You should be able to tell just how good it is. Even I can see the difference just through our connection.] Sister Orb spoke, seemingly delighted by the results. Roan opened and closed his hand, nodding. ”I have to admit it is quite impressive. Bloodline, Energy, Soul... I can easily use all three as if they were one. I can move my soul around easily, too.”

Rean couldnʼt help but comment. ”Yet, there seems to be something extra in our bloodline, a much deeper connection with our soul, which also evolved.”

[Well done pointing it out!] Sister Orb quickly continued from there. [There is indeed a huge advantage. Energy, Bloodline, and Soul are all together now. The best part of these three is that you can recreate one if you still have the other two.]

[For example, suppose you bring your soul out for some reason, and it gets completely destroyed. Your bloodline and energy would give birth to a new soul in your bodies, virtually making you kind of a semi-immortal. The same goes if you get your body destroyed, but your soul survives. Of course, if both get completely destroyed, then thatʼs the end. Itʼs just that it became a lot harder for you to die.]

How could the twins not understand the meaning behind this? ”Was it a result of the Nascent Soul Revival ability from the system?”

Indeed, the upgrade list of the system did have such an option, and the twins had used them before.

[Nascent Soul Revival: 10 Celestial Points]

It asked for Celestial Points now, but it used Destiny Points in the past. Nonetheless, this ability had now disappeared from the systemʼs list.

[Exactly!] Sister Orb quickly confirmed, and used their connection to show the list to the twins, and especially the elimination of that option. [This has become an innate ability of your bloodlines and souls, including Kentuckyʼs. The existence of that option became redundant, so the system removed it.]

Rean then looked at Kentucky, who had been silent until now. ”Are you okay?”

Kentucky was not okay. His expression was terrible, now certain that his entire cultivation was gone. ”Do I look okay? So many years, so much work, gone in a single moment. Fuck! I wanna die!”

”I can help with it,” Roan remarked, finding the idea quite attractive.

”Ahem...” Kentucky quickly changed his words. ”I mean, just figuratively. I like to live.”

”Hmph!” Roan snorted and got up. ”There is no need to worry about our cultivation. We wonʼt return to the Divinity Realm that soon, but recovering to the Peak Stage of the Transition Realm is another story.”

Roan closed his eyes again, feeling his body, and smiled lightly. ”Our entire bodies are now our dantian and core. We can hold even more energy, but we will also need more energy to cultivate. However, just this state alone already makes us much stronger than before.”

He extended his hand.

*Zush!*

And in the next moment, a dull fragment appeared in his hand. That was the Universe Foundation Fragment the twins found back in Closal Planet. It had lost all its properties as a Foundation Piece of a Universe, most likely because its Universe has been long gone. Nonetheless, it was still rich in Starlight Energy, pure Starlight Energy that could be converted for their own cultivations.

On one side, a big pile of Divine Stones waited for them; in Roanʼs hand, a huge amount of Starlight was ready to be used. They had everything they needed. ”It is time to cultivate again. We will not leave this place until we completely empty this Fragment of its Starlight Energy.”

”Hahaha!” Rean was also excited. Usually, he wasnʼt exactly a big fan of dull cultivation, but even he wanted to see how far they could get. ”Letʼs make use of our new cultivation

prowess!”

Kentucky, on the other hand, seemed totally desolated. ”Yay... so much happiness...” Too bad he knew he couldnʼt escape that fate.

[Oh, before you start...] Sister Orb stopped them, though. [You might want to take a look at what happened while you were transforming.]
