Death… And Me

Chapter 3267: More Than Meets the Eye

”What?!” Aby finally could tell what was missing. ”Itʼs gone! Itʼs gone! I canʼt feel my connection with the hidden side of space!”

”Hidden side?” Rean and even Roan got curious. ”Was there such a thing?”

Aby understood it spoke too much. However, it also lost its ability, so it mattered not at the moment. ”How did you do that?! How could you steal my raceʼs ability?!”

Rean sighed. ”Well, there are some things you canʼt understand, so we wonʼt explain. Instead, why donʼt you tell us about this hidden side of space you mentioned.”

”Fuck you! Give it back! Give my innate ability back!” Aby was fuming. How could he just accept it? There was no way they would happen.

Roan snorted. ”As if it would be that simple. We need it, so it will stay with us for the time being. Consider this payment for your nice attempts to break your part of the deal.”

Well, the truth is that neither Rean nor Roan knew how they could put the beastʼs ability back in its soul. In the end, even if they wanted to do it, they couldnʼt.

ʼSister Orb,ʼ Rean sked through their connection. ʼIs it even possible to give his ability back?ʼ

[Sorry, but I also donʼt know. This is beyond what I have access to. I do know the system can interfere with the Abyssal Paths, but that is it.]

Aby still didnʼt want to let it go. ”What you did is nothing compared to what I wanted to do. I only wanted to escape and be free. I didnʼt want to do anything to you guys.”

Roan didnʼt care. ”And would we just believe that? Be a good little soul and give us a lot of Chaos Energy. Thatʼs all you need to care about for the next 1000 years.”

He then smiled coldly. ”Do that, and donʼt cause trouble. If everything goes smoothly until then, we donʼt mind giving your innate ability back.”

”Are you for real?” Aby asked. ”Why should I believe you?”

Rean glanced at Roan. Give it back? Roan definitely knows they had no idea how to do such a thing. Chances were it wasnʼt even possible. Of course, Rean wouldnʼt say that out loud. Instead, he joined Roanʼs farce. ”He is right. Donʼt forget, while you are here, we could use our Pocket Dimensional Realm to force your soul to go unconscious, and then you would generate Chaos Energy for us forever. We wouldnʼt even need to give you anything back. Yet, here you are, awake and speaking to us.”

Roan continued. ”You have no choice here. You can believe us, or you canʼt. Regardless of what you decide, you wonʼt be allowed to leave this place for a thousand years. We will definitely hold onto our part of this deal. We are getting our Chaos Energy, so who cares?”

Aby understood he truly had no say in there. So, for now, he could only force himself to trust the twinsʼ words. ”Fine! A thousand years! But you must give it back to me when you set me free!”

The twins nodded. ”Thatʼs more like it. So, should we just give you some corner to stay in?” ”No,” Aby immediately refused. ”I canʼt do anything in this soul form of mine. Until Iʼm out, Iʼm powerless to control space or energies. That said, I will take the other part of your offer.”

”Other part?” Neither Rean nor Roan understood which part it was. ”What are you talking about.”

”You just said it. You can keep me unconscious for a thousand years, canʼt you? Then thatʼs what I want.” Finally, Aby explained his desire.

Of course, Rean and Roan didnʼt expect such a request. ”Are you sure? Arenʼt you afraid of us doing something to you while you are asleep?”

”Hmph!” Aby wasnʼt an idiot. ”And me being awake would change anything? Iʼm at your mercy in this Pocket Dimensional Realm. In that case, I might as well not see the time passing. By the time I wake up again, a thousand years will have gone by. Iʼve spent countless years in that prison. A thousand years is nothing.”

Roan accepted that without thinking twice. He only allowed it to wake up because he knew Rean would not let it happen with his softness. ”Then you can go back to sleep already.” Roan waved his hand, and the power of the Dimensional Realm acted on the Abyssal Soul. In the next second, everything went black to the Abyssal Soul, and it just floated there, not moving anymore. Only Chaos Energy gently emanated from it, slowly increasing as it recovered from the systemʼs action earlier.

Rean couldnʼt help but sigh. ”I truly donʼt like this kind of thing.”

Obviously, Roan was the opposite. ”You always want the most annoyed routes. That was his request, and this state wonʼt cause him any issues. I do understand him, although I wouldnʼt give up that easily.”

[What do you want to do with his Chaos Energy. It isnʼt really a good thing to just let it spread on its own, especially if we have low-level experts in here.]

”Move him to an empty corner and reserve ten or so kilometers as a restricted space. Keep all the chaos energy he emanates there, and donʼt let it spread to the rest of the Dimensional Realm,” Rean spoke, having already thought about this issue before.

[Okay!]

*Zush!*

In the next moment, Abyʼs soul disappeared, just to appear somewhere else in the Dimensional Realm. Since the twins were now in the Transition Realm, it had increased in size even more, now having more than a hundred kilometers in radius. A simple ten-kilometer was easy to arrange.

[Itʼs done.]

Roan nodded and turned his attention to the outside. There, he could see Foliana, Diliy, Rifindio, and Renata on the bridge. Marev and Karev left already, finding a room for themselves to pass the time. Roan paid special attention to Renata, though. ”Can she really be connected to this?”

Rean knew what Roan was speaking about. ”Perhaps. I mean, isnʼt that too much of a coincidence?”

Roanʼs eyes narrowed as he couldnʼt be certain. ”I guess we will find in time.”

One thing was weird when Rean and Kentucky accepted Renataʼs deal... Roan never came out

to complain or stop it from happening, which was unthinkable. Sure enough, things werenʼt

as simple as Renata speaking to Kentucky about the Divine Camazotz. There was much more involved in that decision.
