Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Ye Bai stepped forward to take the pulse and nodded, ”That’s right, a C-section is a surgery after all.”

Huo Jinnan glanced at Qin Huan, ”Then go for natural childbirth, I’ll be with you all the way.”

He stood by Qin Huan’s side, letting her grip his arm.

Qin Huan forced a smile at Huo Jinnan, her face already drenched with sweat.

Huo Jinnan looked back at Shen Mubai, ”Not going smoothly?”

Shen Mubai adjusted his glasses, ”Boss, we need to wait until the cervix dilates to ten.”

Huo Jinnan remained silent, ”...”

Shen Mubai thought to himself, having once been on a blind date with Qin Huan, that if he helped deliver Qin Huan’s baby, Huo might come to hold him accountable later.

He looked at Ye Bai, ”Can you handle this alone?”

Ye Bai looked at Shen Mubai, ”Yes, you can go out.”

Shen Mubai turned to Ye Bai, ”Call me if you need anything.”

Ye Bai said, ”If something happens, calling you won’t help.”

Shen Mubai glanced at Ye Bai, adjusted his glasses, ”...”

He said nothing and left the delivery room.

Inside the delivery room

The nurse looked at Ye Bai, ”The amniotic sac has ruptured, Doctor Ye!”

Ye Bai stood there, calmly looking at Qin Huan, ”Don’t be afraid, your condition is good right now, just have confidence in yourself.”

Qin Huan looked at Ye Bai, really surprised to hear words of encouragement from Ye Bai at this moment!

But soon, the pain swept over her, beyond her imagination.

Even biting her lip, her cries grew louder and louder.

Huo Jinnan stood beside her, listening. Each painful cry was like a claw gripping his heart, making his chest tense and tremble.

Ye Bai stepped forward, touched the cervix, it had dilated to ten fingers.

She looked in the direction of Qin Huan, ”Don’t push blindly. I’ll tell you when it’s time to cooperate with pushing. Now, focus on abdominal breathing, inhale, expand your abdomen, exhale, contract your abdomen.”

A sharp pain hit, and Qin Huan suddenly spasmed all over, nearly fainting, biting her lip hard to stay conscious.

Huo Jinnan stood there watching, his brow knitted tightly.

At this moment, the fetal heart monitor suddenly sounded an alarm.

The nurse looked at Ye Bai, speaking nervously, ”The fetal heart rate dropped to 60, what should we do?”

Ye Bai glanced over, ”Huo Jinnan, help Qin Huan move her belly, let her lie on her left side.”

Huo Jinnan quickly helped Qin Huan adjust.

After a few seconds, the alarm was lifted.

Ye Bai remained calm, while the nurses standing next to him were drenched in sweat.

Soon, they heard a baby’s cry, and Ye Bai handed a little one over to the nurse.

Huo Jinnan stood nearby, too occupied with watching Qin Huan to look elsewhere. He saw her biting her lip till it bled and extended his forearm.

Qin Huan was in so much pain that she couldn’t care anymore, she bit down on his forearm hard to keep herself from passing out.

Ye Bai looked at the nurse, ”Transfusion!”

The nurse hung the prepared blood bag on the rack and started the transfusion for Qin Huan.

Ye Bai inserted his hand into the cervix, felt the fetus, ”Inhale, exhale, push!”

Qin Huan suddenly lost uterine contractions.

Ye Bai frowned and looked at the nurse, ”Administer oxytocin.”

The nurse quickly administered the oxytocin.

Once the contractions returned to normal, Ye Bai looked at Qin Huan, waited quietly for the right moment, and then spoke again, ”Inhale, exhale, push!”

Qin Huan let out a painful cry, and just after hearing the baby’s cry, everything suddenly became blurry, and she lost consciousness.
