Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Wearing high heels, she ran too hastily. Barely stepping out the door, she flew out horizontally and sprawled across the marble-tiled corridor, tears streaming from the pain, unable to rise for a long while.

Behind her, the door to the special VIP ward closed with a loud thud.

It took her a good fifteen minutes to struggle to her feet, turn back, and with burning resentment, cast one more glance, ”Huo Jinnan, you’ve forced my hand!”

———Yunqi Academy———

The next day, Huo Jinyun received a lawyer’s letter.

Tearing it open and seeing the contents clearly, her face twisted into a tangle.

The agreement clearly bore Huo Jinnan’s signature, yet now he was accusing her of forging the agreement!

She remembered that the contract was made in duplicate, with both parties holding a copy, effective from the date of signing and sealing.

Did this mean that now Huo Jinnan had both copies of the agreement in his possession?

Wanting no further contact with Huo Jinnan, she had her assistant call him to reclaim that copy of the agreement.

After the assistant made the call and looked towards Huo Jinyun, still not understanding the situation, she said, ”Madam, Mr. Huo said he would have Huo Bei send over the agreement shortly, and you could take it to a professional authentication agency for verification.”

Hearing this, Huo Jinyun realized the severity of the problem, her complexion changed instantly, and she immediately called Qin Mochuan, ”Qin Mochuan, are you certain that signature on the agreement is really Huo Jinnan’s?”

Qin Mochuan sounded confidently, ”Of course, the agreement was personally delivered by your father, there shouldn’t be a problem.”

”You... you said who delivered it?”

”Your father personally handed it to me.”

Without a word, Huo Jinyun’s face lost all its color, her fingers let go, and the phone slid from her grasp, clattering to the floor, the screen instantly cracked!

”Huo Jinyun.”

”Huo Jinyun!”

...

Though Qin Mochuan’s voice came through the phone, Huo Jinyun couldn’t hear it at all anymore.

That heart matter... when her grandfather told her, he especially advised her to keep it from her father. How did her father know?

That means, this agreement obviously has issues!

Her breathing became laboriously heavy, her nostrils flaring. Huo Jinyun’s eyes were fixed tightly on the lawyer’s letter on the desk. She picked it up and read it again, then turned to her assistant with a trembling voice and asked, ”Check for me, what crime does forging someone’s handwriting and signing a contract fall under?”

The assistant made a call and summoned the company’s legal counselor.

Consultant Yang looked towards Huo Jinyun, ”President Huo, this kind of situation is generally classified as contract fraud.”

”Contract fraud? How is that established and penalized?”

Huo Jinyun slumped in her office chair, suddenly drained of all strength.

Consultant Yang looked at Huo Jinyun and cautiously explained, ”Contract fraud refers to acts of adopting deceptive means such as fabricating facts or concealing the truth to unlawfully possess, during the signing or execution of a contract, and thus defrauding the other party of a significant amount of money or property.

According to Articles 151 and 152 of the Criminal Law, defrauding others of a significant amount of money or property through an economic contract constitutes the crime of fraud.

In cases of economic contract fraud, the amount defrauded is determined by the actual sum taken by the perpetrator, and the contract sum may be considered as part of the sentencing factors.”

”What about 20 billion?”

Consultant Yang looked at Huo Jinyun but remained silent.

Only then did Huo Jinyun remember that the agreement had been signed by Che Huan and Huo Jinnan, a glimmer of hope briefly flared in her heart, only to be extinguished in an instant.

Since the signature on the agreement was a fake, the plan to turn around and frame Che Huan was doomed!
