Cursed Immortality

Chapter 942: Soulmancer! (6)

Jacob remained calm as he evaluated the new development, ʼThe second and third trial together? Or did he just merge them on a whim?ʼ

However, after the Artifact Spiritʼs unusual solemn speech, Jacob knew he had successfully shown his ʼtalentʼ as a Soulmancer, and thatʼs probably the only thing the Artifact Spirit wants.

Now, he was just a step away from unraveling the secrets of the Soulless Ghost Pagoda and acquiring it.

Jacob then took the Class-1 Soulless Flame and approached the stele; the entire first chapter of the Soulmancer Codex was revealed.

The first section, like the Artifact Spirit stated earlier, inscribed the formula and introduction to Class-1 Soulless Flame and Soulmancy. In the second section, things were completely different.

ʼThe second section is Foundation of Divine Soulless Codex, which required to create the Divine Soulless Codexʼs structure which is actually shaping the Soul Sense into Divine Soulless Codex…ʼ Jacobʼs eyes flickered in astonishment, ʼShaping the Soul Sense into a structure? Not even those legacies and memories I have didnʼt have any information like this. In fact, according to what I have, Soul Sense is like a projection of a soul, and its power is directly connected to the soul.

ʼSo, unless someone can entirely reshape their souls, soul sense shouldnʼt be changeable yet, this Soulmancer Codex stating otherwise…furthermore, the more powerful a practitionerʼs soul and law, the more powerful the Divine Soulless Codex will be. But will it work on someone with thirteen laws, including a Forbidden Arcane Law?ʼ

Jacob was fascinated with the Soulmancer Codex, which was filled with mysteries and overwhelming wisdom, especially the Divine Soulless Codex, which had the title of ʼDivineʼ in it, making it evident that this Soulmancer Codex was probably something at the peak of Mythical Rank or might be higher.

Nonetheless, Jacob didnʼt want to miss this chance to learn a divine technique if he could because if he succeeded, he would have a unique soul sense and a powerful soul defense mechanism.

Jacob sat cross-legged in front of the stele and solemnly studied the Foundation of Divine Soulless Codex without hesitation. The structure of the Divine Soulless Codex was unusually like a twelve-story pagoda, and he needed to reshape his shapeless soul sense into this structure using his Soul Force and law to create a compatible and stable structure.

Once the Foundation of Divine Soulless Codex is complete and a stable structure is formed, then he needs to use the Class-1 Soulless Flame to ignite the First-Story of the Divine Soulless Codex to complete the Class-1 Divine Soulless Codex and the Soulless Flame required to be refined by the owner of the Divine Soulless Codex.

So, he mused that the rest of the stories would be complete with the rest of the soulless flames. That must be why the Artifact Spirit returned the Class-1 Soulless Flame he created.

However, Jacob found a problem, and his eyes compressed, ʼThere are three methods to shape the soul sense into Divine Soulless Codex according to the laws imbued within the soul totem, Singular Law Totem, Dual Law Totem, and even the rarest, Tri-Law Totem.

ʼBut my soul totem is something created with a Universal Godly Scripture, a Thirteen-Law Totem, and unlike Soul Totems, my entire body is a totem, not just my soul…

ʼAccording to all the methods, one needed to equally imbue the laws into soul sense to create a Divine Soulless Codex if they have more than a Singular Law Totem.

ʼThen what if I create each story with a single law?ʼ Jacobʼs eyes shone with inspiration as he felt he had grasped something, ʼRight now, the Law of Infinity is almost nonexistent while the other twelve laws are on the same level as the legendary king state rank…should I try?ʼ

Although Jacob knew his idea had crossed all the limits of the Soulmancer Codex, he couldnʼt help himself. After all, the method and theory were right before him, and since it wasnʼt that complex, Jacob felt his method might be doable if he treads carefully.

Moreover, if he failed, he had nothing to lose, and he could always turn back to Soulless Ghost King and form the Divine Soulless Codex with his law and still acquire the Soulless Ghost Pagoda, and once it fell into his hands, he could take his time researching it.

Once decided, Jacob used a unique method to control the soul sense in the second section, Foundation of Divine Soulless Codex, and felt his soul sense. Using his technique, one can ʼseeʼ and make their soul sense tangible in their Nexus Point, which is the center of oneʼs soul.

As Jacob recited the method, his vision entered the pitch-black Nexus Point, and suddenly, the endlessly dark nexus point began to change as one neon kaleidoscopic mist appeared once after another.

Jacob instantly knew those kaleidoscopic mists were his laws imbued within his body and soul, and they were all connected with Nexus Point, which was also a source of his powerful soul sense.

If not for the Soulmancer Codex, he wouldʼve still been under the impression that the Nexus Point was only used to harbor enslaved entities like Autarch. But it seemed there was more to it, especially according to the Soulmancer Codex, the Nexus Point was stated to be the ʼsource of soul power.ʼ

After all the laws were revealed, Jacob noticed that other than the twelve laws, there was another law that barely took any space, yet those twelve laws seemed to avoid it, and it was completely colorless and profound.

ʼLaw of Infinity!ʼ Jacob didnʼt even hesitate as he recognized the Law of Infinity because it felt just like when he was in Infinite Space, yet it was very vague, and his expression became stern, ʼEven if I want to, I canʼt touch it or even come in contact with it…I need to find the Longevity Path Glory Gem…ʼ

After consolidating his objective, Jacob finally decided to try creating the Divine Soulless Codex according to his theory.

ʼSo, in which sequence should I arrange the laws?ʼ Jacob thought before an idea flashed in his mind, ʼLetʼs try arranging them in Universal Cosmic Sequence from the weakest Class-1 being ʼFireʼ and the strongest class-12 being the ʼTimeʼ.ʼ

Without further ado, Jacob instantly controlled the red neon mist, his fire law, and started to reshape it into the first floor of the Divine Soulless Codex in the center of his Nexus Point.

But he meets with another situation: since the method of creating the Divine Soulless Codex was founded upon Singular to Tri-Law Soul Totem, its size could be different.

So, Jacob, who was trying to create just a single story of this pagoda with a single law, couldnʼt use the entire fire law in his soul sense at all, only 5%.

ʼLetʼs try to increase the size…ʼ Jacob wasnʼt the one to stop since he wanted to see if he really succeeded or not.

Just like that, Jacob started to create a Divine Soulless Codex with twelve laws and unintentionally diverted from the path of Soulmancer Codex…not even the Artifact Spirit of the Soulless Ghost Pagoda wouldʼve expected Jacob to be such a madman!
