Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Learning about the situation from Feng Chen and at the same time also what his plans were regarding future cooperation with the Myriad Treasure Hall, Xuan Hao couldn’t help nodding his head in agreement with the suggestions laid forth by Feng Chen. Essentially outlining a cooperative relationship with the Myriad Treasure Hall and potentially allowing them to establish an auction house inside Bright Stone City in the future. Planning to turn Bright Stone City into a massive city where wandering cultivators from across the continent would gather and in turn allow countless resources to flow into the Star Shattering Sect through the city.

Of course, these plans were still far off in the future and needed the Star Shattering Sect to become a well-known entity outside the Northern Central Region and establish itself as a power that was known throughout the Southern Central Region, something that came with its own difficulties, but given his recent breakthrough to the Star Creation Realm, he felt that it would be fine for the sect to start moving towards expanding its influence beyond the Northern Central Region.

At the very least, when it came to the current strength of the Star Shattering Sect with him sitting at the helm, it was more than capable of rolling over any of the major powers within the Northern Central Region. Establishing itself as the sole hegemon of the region. The only problem being other ancient hidden sects throughout the Northern Central Region.

But then again, if the Star Shattering Sect didn’t directly interfere with those ancient hidden sects active within the Northern Central Region, everything should be fine and the sect should be able to smoothly establish itself as the sole hegemon of the Northern Central Region.

The existence of the demonic cultivators was essentially ignored for now, as the unspoken agreement between the two sides had already made it clear that neither would provoke the other, thus, the demonic cultivators shouldn’t bother interfering with the Star Shattering Sect even if they established themselves as the leading power within the Northern Central Region. After all, the demonic cultivators that had originally been aggressively pushing to expand the borders of the Frozen Wasteland had entered a state of calm following the conquest of the Blue Sea Empire and didn’t show any signs of trying to expand any further afterwards.

There were of course still weaker demonic cultivators constantly attempting to cross borders and massacre to rapidly enhance their own cultivation but compared to the True Demon Realm and stronger demonic cultivators, these weaker demonic cultivators hardly posed a threat to the different major powers. Reducing the original existential threat to a mere nuisance that they now had to deal with themselves instead of relying on weaker kingdoms to block the demonic cultivators from their borders like they had been able to do in the past...

”Sect master- Huh?” Just as Xuan Hao was about to take his leave from Feng Chen’s courtyard after being briefed on the situation regarding the Myriad Treasure Hall and the future plans of the sect when it came to this potential lucrative relationship, a younger elder came rushing in through entrance of the courtyard. ”S-senior Xuan, you are here as well?” Showing a surprised look on his face upon spotting him.

”What happened? No need to worry about Elder Xuan.” Seeing this young elder come rushing in, Feng Chen immediately knew something important had happened and urged him to talk. Not feeling that Xuan Hao’s presence mattered. After all, there wasn’t really anything inside the sect that was hidden from Xuan Hao, the sole pillar of the sect.

”Y-Yes! There has been an update in the development with the people from the Myriad Treasure Hall, they just informed Elder Song that one of their elders is available and can come over for a proper meeting. Elder Song asked me to inform you about the situation, sect master, as he himself is busy with something else at the moment.”

”I see... Xuan Hao, do you have anything urgent to take care of? If not, I would prefer to have you lead the meeting with that elder from the Myriad Treasure Hall.” Hearing what the young elder said, Feng Chen didn’t hesitate for a second before dumping the situation on top of Xuan Hao, something he had at least informed him about beforehand, leading to Xuan Hao just silently rolling his eyes before agreeing with a simple nod. Knowing that there was indeed not someone other than himself capable of taking charge of this kind of meeting.

Well... There was someone, but that someone was a demon beast that wasn’t exactly suitable for this kind of meeting. That feline demon beast at the Land Creation Realm had ended up perfectly integrating into the Star Shattering Sect over the years, but it wasn’t exactly the smartest tool in the shed and was only a bit better than a normal tamed animal.

Great for a mountain guardian beast, but awful when it came to a skilled negotiator capable of leading a meeting with a powerful force from the Southern Central Region.

If he really ended up placing that demon beast in charge, he had a feeling the elder from the Myriad Treasure Hall wouldn’t just be offended, but more so confused at what was happening. After all, this demon beast, while it had reached the Land Creation Realm and should be capable of speech and even taking on a humanoid form, it refused to do so and remained in its original form to this day. Fully intent to remain this way that it had lived its entire life.

But then again, he couldn’t exactly complain about it, as it hadn’t really mattered much to him before now, when he finally came to realize that outside of himself, the sect didn’t have anyone capable of engaging in conversation with other major powers.

Elder Song might be great when it came to these kinds of things and even Feng Chen wasn’t bad, but their strength was simply far too low, and those different major powers wouldn’t take them seriously before their strength at the very least reached the Profound Immortal Realm or the Celestial Immortal Realm. Only then wouldn’t they be considered part of the younger generation in the eyes of these major powers.

And for a power like the Myriad Treasure Hall from the Southern Central Region, just reaching this level wouldn’t be enough. Instead, the level of strength should either be somewhere between the Late Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm and the Sea Formation Realm within the Profound Immortal Realm. An increase that showed the generally higher cultivation level of those within the Southern Central Region...

”Hehe, Elder Xuan, I will let you handle the matter of arranging the meeting then, Elder Lu, can you help Elder Xuan find the delegation from the Myriad treasure Hall?” Following Xuan Hao’s approval, Feng Chen smiled happily as he instructed the young elder to lead the way. ”Yes! Elder Xuan, please follow me.” Something that the elder in question was more than happy to do.

Not just because this was an instruction from the sect master, but also because this was a rare opportunity to get a one on one with the acknowledged strongest person within the sect.

If he could get guidance from such a person, his cultivation would undoubtedly benefit significantly!

”Sure.” Seeing through the situation and how Feng Chen so obviously wanted him to help this young elder, Xuan Hao once again rolled his eyes as he agreed.

He might have already known where the delegation from the Myriad Treasure Hall was located thanks to his divine sense having already swept past them not that long ago, but having someone guide him wouldn’t add too much time to the journey and would also give him a chance to figure out a bit more about this elder Feng Chen had explicitly wanted him to help along.

And before long, he found out that this young elder was none other than Lu Wen, the young man who had entered the sect around the same time as Qing Yi, his first disciple. The reason why he didn’t recognize the other party wasn’t just because his appearance had changed significantly compared to back then, but also because his demeanor had changed, though that could also be because of the difference in status between the two of them.

”Ah!! Look! It’s Lu Wen!”

However, as he was about to help guide this talented youngster like Feng Chen had wanted him to do along the way, a loud scream suddenly echoed out beside him from a nearby female disciple.

”Oh! It really is him!”

”Ahh! Senior Lu, please wait!”

”Senior Lu!”

Something that was soon followed by countless others, as a group of female disciples and elders suddenly came swarming towards the two of them like an unstoppable wave. Catching Xuan Hao somewhat off guard, as he found himself almost being knocked to the side by one of those ferocious female disciples. Only able to stare speechlessly as his supposed guide was swallowed up by the swarm...
