Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Having managed to recruit a group of elders thanks to her spending some time creating a new unique transitional cultivation realm to her self-created cultivation path, Mui soon enough shifted her attention away from cultivation and instead found Song Jia to continue working on the heavenly river floating above the Seventh Star Peak where the sect was located. After all, to her, this newly created home for Baobao and the future Baobao’s that would follow, was still far from complete and was in her eyes still in an initial development stage.

Now with a group of elders around to help her out, she would have a much easier time working on future plans regarding the development and evolution of the heavenly river floating up above while at the same time also working towards creating more Baobaos for the sect...

Unaware of what his fourth disciple was getting up to and that she was planning on creating something that would undoubtedly cause another wave of chaos to sweep through the sect, Xuan Hao was quietly sitting in the middle of his cultivation chamber with his eyes closed. Focused entirely on the dao lotus within his dantian where a dao rune had slowly taken shape with only the last bit of the dao rune remaining before a complete dao rune would be carved into one of dao lotus petals.

From start to finish, he hadn’t encountered any bottlenecks or difficulties during the carving process of his first dao rune before he reached the final step and only needed a single stroke to finish the dao rune.

Logically, he should have been able to easily finish this final stroke and successfully complete his first dao rune, but as he moved to complete the dao rune, something intangible had seemingly stopped him. Preventing him from completing the final stroke that was needed to complete the dao rune and step into the Star Creation Realm.

Dwelling into the information he had obtained on the Star Creation Realm, he quickly discovered that this was a natural process and at the same time also the bottleneck that stopped countless Profound Immortal Realm cultivators from reaching the Star Creation Realm.

How to overcome this bottleneck wasn’t something that was explicitly stated, but it wasn’t too difficult to comprehend, as he realized the final step for completing a dao rune required him to infuse his own comprehension of the dao into the dao rune. If his comprehension was high enough, the final stroke could be completed, and the dao rune would take shape.

But if his comprehension was insignificant, the dao rune would crumble, and he would lose all the progress he had made so far. Forced to start over and try again after furthering his own comprehension of the different Daos he had comprehended so far or learning new Daos that would similarly deepen his understanding of the Dao from another perspective.

The worst part about this final step was the fact that one wouldn’t know when one had the required comprehension to proceed nor how far one was from being able to take that step and officially complete the dao rune.

Because of this, most of those who reached the Peak of the Land Creation Realm and had successfully reached the point where only a single stroke was needed to form the first dao rune found themselves going back to comprehending the Dao. Fearful that their comprehension wasn’t high enough and they would end up failing that final stroke. Ruining all the effort they had put into the dao rune so far.

In fact, this wasn’t just the case with those at the Peak of the Land Creation Realm but was also the case for those at the Star Creation Realm.

In a way, it was even worse for those at the Star Creation Realm, as dao runes only became harder to create the further one went and took longer. Meaning a single failure might not send them back to square one like failing a tribulation would, but it would undoubtedly ruin thousands- if not tens of thousands of years of hard work.

Just the thought of working hard to carefully carve a single dao rune for thousands of years only to have the dao rune crumble at the final moment because of insufficient comprehension of the dao to support the dao rune was despair inducing.

Still, though he was feeling nervous faced with the possibility of failure from his comprehension of the Dao not being high enough, he didn’t truly believe his comprehension would be insufficient. After all, he hadn’t just reached the Origin Realm in the Dao of Space but had even comprehended a difficult and obscure Dao like the Dao of Time. Not to mention the vast number of other Daos he had comprehended.

Compared to similar level cultivators, he far surpassed them when it came to the comprehension of the Dao. Not just because he was more talented and had the system to help him a bit along the way in speeding up his comprehension, but also because he had decided to go down the road of a Dao Domain Lord, something that resulted in him comprehending countless different Daos that weren’t exactly linked to one another.

Not like the cultivation path of others not following the Myriad Path of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, as others tended to focus on a single Dao and comprehend Daos adjacent to said Dao that would in turn work in tandem with their comprehension of their chosen main Dao. An example being someone who focused on the Dao of Fire comprehending the Dao of Kindling and Dao of Sparks to deepen the power of their Dao of Fire.

Of course, others did learn other Daos outside their main one, but not to the extent of someone like himself, who had learnt over a dozen different Daos that weren’t related to one another.

Although the disadvantage of this was clear from a glance, it did also mean that his overall comprehension of the Dao was far deeper than others-

Whoosh~!

Meaning that the final stroke of his first dao rune ended up being successfully taken without the dao rune crumbling in on itself.

On the contrary, as the dao rune was completed and fully merged into the lotus petal it was carved on top of, a strange and wonderous transformation began taking place inside his dantian.

Starting from the landmass at the center of his internal world located directly below his dao lotus. Mountains rose and rivers were carved into the land below as the landmass itself experienced a sudden massive round of expansion.

Whooosh-!

All the while, the more monumental transformation took place within the spiritual sea surrounding the landmass, as it didn’t just begin to wildly expand like it had following his breakthrough to the Peak of the Land Creation Realm. Instead, the vast quantity of spiritual qi rose into the air before surging towards the dao lotus floating above his internal world. Forming countless surging rivers of spiritual qi that stretched from every corner of his dantian towards his dao lotus.

And faced with the vast quantity of spiritual qi surging into it, the dao lotus happily devoured every last bit of it, as the newly carved dao rune on one of its lotus petals began to light up.

This situation lasted for a little over half an hour before every last bit of spiritual qi within his dantian was swallowed by the dao lotus-

However, this alone wasn’t enough, as sense of growing hunger began spreading throughout every inch of his body.

Whoosh~

And without hesitation, he directly pulled out a large number of spirit stones and absorbed them into his dantian where the dao lotus seemingly acted on its own the second the spirit stones appeared. Not showing the slightest bit of hesitation as a mysterious power surged forth and rapidly refined the spirit stones before swallowing the pure spiritual qi contained within.

Soon enough resulting in him throwing spirit stones into his dantian. Waiting for them to get consumed before repeating.

At first, he wasn’t too worried about this. Having obtained a large number of spirit stones over the years, but as the minutes turned into hours and hours into days with his little dao lotus showing no sign of being satisfied, he couldn’t help feeling a bit worried about the situation.

Not just because he was starting to run out of spirit stones and would soon need to tap into the sect’s reserves, but also because he didn’t know where the vast quantity of spiritual qi was going.

He could feel it entering his dao lotus and moving towards the lotus petal where the dao rune was located, but beyond that, he couldn’t sense anything about this spiritual qi as it seemingly vanished once it got to the dao rune.

Not having any description of this advancement within the information he had obtained on the Star Creation Realm, he was understandably worried about this kind of unusual situation he found himself in...
