Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Seeing how his Chun Hua managed to fit in with his other disciples without any problems, Xuan Hao decided to leave the introduction of the sect to Qing Yi and Mui, while he went to catch up with Feng Chen and Elder Song and find out what had happened during his absence from the sect. Feeling curious about how much stronger the sect had grown and what their thoughts were on the future development of the sect now that the two bordering regions had fallen to the sect and were in the process of being integrated.

Although, considering that he hadn’t heard anything about the sect elders or the elders from the different independent sects being moved around in preparation for any further expansion, he guessed that they should have also come to the same conclusion as him and decided to focus on increasing the strength of the sect before thinking about expanding any further.

And after meeting up with the two of them, he discovered that this was indeed the case. Leaving him with nothing much to do in regard to the development of the sect. Given that the two of them already had a solid plan in place for how to best develop the disciples and the elders of the sect. Already striving towards having at least three more people break through to the Domain Lord Realm over the next three years with the help of Pei Yang’s monthly lectures.

Pei Yang…?

Hearing about Pei Yang in their plan for the development of the Star Shattering Sect over the next few years, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit surprised before quickly calming down after thinking about it for a few seconds.

Indeed, Pei Yang might have been a complete stranger to the Star Shattering Sect, but he was still a genuine Earth Immortal Realm cultivator… And together with the monthly lectures he did according to the agreement he had struck with him back in the Blue Sea Empire, it wasn’t surprising that Pei Yang had rapidly grown to become one of the most respected figures in the Star Shattering Sect.

After all, for the elders of the Star Shattering Sect, they had barely seen someone in the Soul Ascension Realm before, let alone someone above the Soul Ascension Realm. Not to mention, the guidance provided by Pei Yang was genuinely helpful and allowed a large chunk of the Star Shattering Sect’s Nascent Soul Realm cultivators to rapidly improve.

During the few months he had been away from the sect, Pei Yang had even begun to teach some of the elders from the different independent sects who came to visit the Star Shattering Sect every now and then, thus resulting in his name now also being known among the upper echelons of the different independent sects under the Star Shattering Sect.

Of course, Elder Song and Feng Chen already knew a bit about the circumstances behind Pei Yang’s presence in the sect from both Xuan Hao and the person himself, so they made sure that the information about him that spread outside the Star Shattering Sect was limited and wouldn’t alert the nearby Blue Sea Empire.

In the end, Xuan Hao left Feng Chen and Elder Song to do their own thing as they seemed to have everything under control and didn’t need his help in managing the sect.

Not that he would really want to spend his time doing that either, as it was quite obvious that the time Feng Chen and Elder Song used on managing the sect cut into the time that they could spend on cultivation.

Although Elder Song didn’t seem to care that much about this, Feng Chen clearly wasn’t the same, as he couldn’t wait for the next development plan of the sect to be launched so he could focus his full attention on cultivating.

Shaking his head as he thought this to himself while he arrived back at his palace, Xuan Hao could not help feeling like he began to understand why the ancestors of different major powers always retreated to the back while leaving the younger generation to manage most of the things by themselves. Only ever showing up in case their power was threatened or something important that couldn’t be ignored took place.

”Hm? Going along this train of thought… Am I perhaps already considered an ancestor figure in the Star Shattering Sect!?” Suddenly freezing on the spot as he voiced his inner thoughts out loud, Xuan Hao had no idea what to say, as his current behavior did indeed seem to align with the different ancestor figures he had encountered so far. Only ever showing up in the Star Shattering Sect when something important that would affect the entire sect happened, while on normal times leaving everything else for others to take care of.

No… I definitely do more than that! I… When did I hold a lecture for the disciples of the sect, was it half year ago? Maybe a year…?

Realizing that he indeed seemed to perfectly fit in with the ancestor type of figure, Xuan Hao could not help smiling a bit wryly to himself.

It was not so much that he was against being considered an ancestor of the Star Shattering Sect, it was just that it felt a bit weird considering that he wasn’t even fifty years old while most of the sect’s elders were pushing two hundred.

”Ah! I almost forgot! Now that my comprehension of the Dao of Illusions improved, I wonder if I’ll be able use the stone tablet, I picked up back in the mystic realm.”

Remembering the stone tablet that he had picked up back in the mystic realm as he thought about what he had done to help improve the sect lately, Xuan Hao wasted no time in pulling it out from his interspatial ring to see if he could do something about its illusory state now that his comprehension of the Dao of Illusions had broken through to the Large Success Realm.

If he could really solve the problem of the stone tablets illusory state, it could serve as a defining treasure for the Star Shattering Sect and would be helpful for both the disciples and elders of the sect when it came to reaching the Domain Lord realm.

After all, the stone tablet was covered in Dao Carvings from ancient cultivators who had deliberately left behind the marks of their respective dao to make it easier for the younger generation to comprehend them. Even after reaching the Domain Lord Realm, it would still be useful and serve as a clear path to the Dao Seed Realm.

Of course, in terms of being of the younger generation, it seemed like everyone in Star Shattering Sect was considered to be a part of the younger generation. Everyone except Pei Yang who had just barely graduated from being considered as someone from the younger generation.

Although, considering that he hadn’t even reached the threshold of the Early Stage of the Dao Seed Realm yet, he might still be able to benefit from the stone dao carvings on the stone tablet.

Bang!

As the illusory stone tablet landed in front of him, Xuan Hao wasted no time in starting to try and look for a way to undo the illusory state that it was trapped in at the moment. Not bothering to drag it back into his room as he remained at the entrance to the palace while deducting the illusion that covered up the stone slab… And after a few hours of observing the illusory stone slab for a way to undo the illusion, he finally found a way.

Rumble~!

”Hm?”

However, the moment he began to tug at the illusion to undo it, he discovered that the size of the stone slab suddenly increased by more than half a meter-

Rumble~

And by stopping what he was doing, it shrunk back down to its original size again.

”How interesting…” Muttering this to himself as he began to experiment with the stone slab, Xuan Hao discovered that outside of just growing in size as he got closer to undoing the illusory state of the stone slab, it also became impossible for him to carry, as the dao carvings left behind on the stone slab seemed to make it impossible to carry without being injured, while placing it inside an interspatial ring became even more impossible.

Looks like I have to undo the illusory state in a location where it can stay in the foreseeable future without causing any problems and also giving the disciples and elders a chance to peacefully study the dao carvings…

Thinking this to himself as he allowed the illusion covering it to recover and shrink the stone slab back down to a more manageable size, Xuan Hao didn’t have to think for long before coming up with a few potential locations to place the stone slab.

In the end, only two locations seemed to fit the criteria of being places where it wouldn’t cause any problems and the disciples and elders wouldn’t be disturbed while comprehending the dao carvings, one being the Grand Library where the cultivation techniques of the sect was stored, while the other was somewhere along the shore of the Qi Spring Lake where the qi was the most abundant.
