Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Roooar-!

Just as the noble family cultivators were about to try and go around the invisible wall that had suddenly blocked their path towards the frontier city, a loud roar echoed out not too far behind them as the winged snake demon beast became visible above the tall trees of the primeval jungle. The little time they might have left without having to worry about the powerful demon beasts they had provoked not too long ago being reduced to a few seconds, as the smarter ones among the noble family cultivators wasted no time in trying to contact the ancestor hidden inside the frontier city to ensure their safety-

Rumble~!

Not even a second later, a powerful aura belonging to someone in the Dao Seed Realm erupted from the frontier city as an old woman soon rushed out in the direction of the noble family cultivators.

Even without knowing anything about the other party, Xuan Hao was sure that she wasn’t one of the Dao Seed Realm cultivators from the three other ruling families and was instead the Dao Seed Realm cultivator from the noble family hidden inside the frontier city-

Whoosh~!

And with this in mind, Xuan Hao decided to retract his dao domain before the other party had a chance to notice him, while at the same time preparing himself to attack the moment he saw an opportunity.

After all, as long as he could kill one of the Dao Seed Realm cultivators from the noble family, they would no longer be capable of taking up control of the Chun Family’s position in the frontier city and would instead be forced to retreat and stabilize their position in the capital city.

Even though doing something like this would undoubtedly draw the attention of the Astorion Empire and its more powerful cultivators. Possibly preventing him from easily entering the Astorion Empire in the future, he didn’t plan to stay in the empire after ensuring the safety of the Chun Family.

If they wanted to try and chase him down, they would not only have to pass through several dangerous locations like the primeval jungle and the Blue Sea Empire. Not to mention, they didn’t have any idea about his identity in the first place. Making killing the Dao Seed Realm cultivator a relatively safe endeavor as long as he could leave the Astorion Empire before their more powerful cultivators showed up.

”Ah? The invisible wall disappeared! Everyone, we can go back the original way!” Discovering that the dao domain blocking their path earlier had disappeared, one of the weaker cultivators at the Late Stage of the Domain Lord Realm who had yet to try and go around the invisible wall, yelled out loudly before rushing towards the frontier city with all his might.

”Huh? It disappeared…?”

”Haha! The ancestor is also coming! I’m saved!”

”This… What if it suddenly appears again? Isn’t it safer to continue around it?”

”Indeed, better safe than sorry, my strength is also more than enough to escape before that demon beast catches up to me…”

Hearing the loud yell and seeing that he safely managed to pass through where the invisible wall had disappeared, the rest of the noble family cultivators were split on what to do, some continued to go around, while the rest tried their luck directly through the place where the invisible wall had been a short moment ago.

In the end, the majority of those taking the chance and hoping the invisible wall wouldn’t appear again were the weaker cultivators who didn’t stand a chance going around the invisible wall, while the ones who continued around it to be on the safer side were the more powerful cultivators.

Given that all of them could already see their ancestor rushing out of the frontier city to save them, they felt confident in being able to escape, while their ancestor kept the winged snake demon beast at bay to buy them some more time.

After all, the rest of the powerful demon beasts that they had provoked were relatively slower than the winged snake demon beast. Giving them some time before their ancestor would be forced to retreat back towards the frontier city to ensure her own safety.

Hm… Looks like I have to do something, or they will be able to escape before that demon beast has a chance to catch up to them. Making it more difficult to look for an opportunity to ambush that old woman…

Thinking this to himself as he watched the noble family cultivators escaping towards the frontier city once again, Xuan Hao could not help frowning. Although he had managed to slow them down by a few seconds without being noticed by the Dao Seed Realm cultivator from the noble family, it was not enough for the winged snake demon beast to catch up and start killing off the noble family cultivators.

With this in mind, he needed to slow them down by a bit more so he could force a fight between the old woman in the Dao Seed Realm and the winged snake demon beast. Only then would he have a perfect opportunity to launch a sneak attack on the old woman…

The Dao of Ice… No, it will be noticed the moment I use it, same with the Dao of Formations. If my comprehension of the Dao of Space was higher and I had a technique for shifting space, it might have been possible to use that. Hm… That leaves the Dao of Illusions…

Going over the different Daos he had comprehended, and techniques associated with them, Xuan Hao ultimately ended up at the Dao of Illusions.

Although he didn’t have time to learn any technique related to the Dao of Illusions, just the fact that he had managed to reach the Large Success Realm in the Dao of Illusions would be more than enough to trap a few Soul Ascension Realm and Domain Lord Realm cultivators in an illusion for a few seconds. Giving the winged snake demon beast more than enough time to catch up with them before they had a chance to reach their ancestor.

At the same time, the use of the Dao of Illusion would also be hard to detect. Making it difficult for the old woman in the Dao Seed Realm to realize that something had happened. Even if she did notice something, she would most likely not think it had something to do with the winged snake demon beast using its powerful comprehension over the Dao of Wind to forcibly slow down the cultivators. Not something too difficult to do considering that the winged snake demon beast had reached the Dao Seed Realm.

The only problem with this was the fact that the winged snake demon beast was currently using all of its strength to increase its speed. Not having used any of it to try and slow down the noble family cultivators at such a long distance. Not that the old woman from the noble family would have any idea about this…

Whoosh~!

Having come to a decision, Xuan Hao didn’t waste a single second as his dao domain spread out and engulfed the noble family cultivators without any of them noticing-

WHOOOOOOSH-!

And before any of them had time to react, a powerful wind suddenly swept over them and forcibly pushed them back in the direction of the winged snake demon beast. Giving the illusion that the winged snake demon beast had used its powerful mastery over the Dao of Wind to conjure up a powerful storm forcibly preventing them from continuing forward towards the frontier city.

”Ah!? Where did this powerful wind come from!?”

”I-I can’t continue forward?!”

”The wind is slowing me down to only five percent my normal speed!?”

”Huh!? I-I’m being dragged back towards the winged snake demon beast by the wind!?”

Realizing the danger of the situation, the group of cultivators began desperately using every secret trump card at their disposal to escape from the terrifying wind. However, after discovering that they still couldn’t escape, they could only turn towards their approaching ancestor filled with hope-

ROOOOAR-!

Unfortunately, before their ancestor appeared at the scene to save them, the winged snake demon beast finally managed to catch up to the group of noble family cultivators.

”Ancestor! Save-”

Crunch-!

Fully announcing its arrival by angrily chomping down on one of the Domain Lord Realm cultivators that had dared wake it up not too long ago-

”Ahhh!”

”Nooo-!”

”Don’t! Help-”

However, this was far from the end, as the winged snake demon beast began to rush towards the other cultivators behind its rude awakening. Killing any of the noble family cultivator’s unfortunate enough to be in its path. Marking the beginning of the end for the group of noble family cultivators, as the first Soul Ascension Realm cultivators soon met his end under the powerful fangs of the winged snake demon beast!

Roaaar-!

ROOAR!

Roar!

At the same time, not too far away, the remaining demon beasts who had been lacking a bit behind compared to the winged snake demon beast began appearing one by one…
