Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Having spent a few minutes reading through the Records of a Thousand Winds and inspecting what little remained of the nascent independent space that the Lord of a Thousand Winds had created, Xuan Hao had ignored the bulky man who had just remained unconscious on the ground.

”Mhm~”

However, just at this moment, the bulky man began moving. Showing signs of waking up at any moment.

”Hm? Looks like he is about to wake up…”

Noticing this, Xuan Hao looked away from the Records of a Thousand Winds and focused his attention on the bulky man who was about to wake up for a short moment before focusing on the massive mountain at the core of the small independent space.

Swish~

Not wanting to wait around for the bulky man to wake up, Xuan Hao decided to make his way up the mountain to find out what was hidden on top of it.

Even if there was not anything precious on top of the mountain, Xuan Hao at the very least hoped that there would be a way out of the small independent space, as the portal he had originally entered through had already closed by itself at this point in time.

As for what had ended up happing to the Soul Ascension Realm Expert that was stuck outside, Xuan Hao had no idea and to be honest, he didn’t plan to stay around for too long in case the Soul Ascension Realm Expert managed to find a way into the small independent space after escaping from the wind currents outside.

After all, even if the wind had the strength to kill someone in the Soul Ascension Realm, Xuan Hao doubted that the Soul Ascension Realm Expert would just wait around for this to happen. No matter what, the Soul Ascension Realm Expert would definitely try to escape if things got too dangerous!

Thump~

Throwing these thoughts to the back of his mind as he came to a stop just a short distance from the top of the mountain, Xuan Hao could not help frowning as he looked up at the almost transparent mist that engulfed the entire peak of the mountain.

Although the mist was almost transparent and it should have been easy to see through. For some reason, there was some kind of power present in the mist that prevented him from looking through it. Even using his divine sense did not work, as the mist covering the peak of the mountain prevented it from entering.

Knowing that there was definitely something wrong with the mist that hid the peak of the mountain from view, Xuan Hao decided to slowly approach and see if he could examine the mist more closely. Not wanting to enter it before he was sure that it would not be dangerous to him.

Whoosh~

Approaching the mist, the sound of the wind could clearly be heard from the other side. However, different from the wind outside, it was obvious that the wind on top of the mountain was much calmer than the wind back in the Thousand Wind Mountains.

”It doesn’t look like its harmful in any way…”

Turning his attention towards the mist that covered the mountain peak, Xuan Hao could not help narrowing his eyes. Even when standing directly in front of it, he could not see through… But he still managed to understand that the mist was not dangerous in any way and only seemed to be a natural formation of some sort that prevented someone from looking through it.

In a sense, the mist was an incredibly powerful formation when it came to hiding. After all, even Xuan Hao did not sense or see it before he was close to the Peak of the mountain.

At least the mist should be completely harmless…

Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao looked towards the mist for a few seconds before taking a step forward into the mist.

…

”Wah-!”

Crawling out from a small hole in the ground beneath a large tree inside a massive jungle, Hui Ying was about to say something after getting out, when she suddenly tripped over one of the large tree’s roots and began rolling down the small hill the tree sat on top of.

Thump!

”Ouch!”

Letting out a painful sound as she rolled into a rather large stone at the bottom of the small hill the tree was located on top of, Hui Ying was just about to start cursing at the tree when she suddenly seemed to remember where she currently was.

”So much for getting out without making a commotion…”

Crawling out from the hole in the ground beneath the tree, Bai Ning could not help shaking his head as he muttered this to himself while closely observing his surroundings for any demon beasts that might have been attracted to the sound Hui Ying had made.

”…”

Understanding what Bai Ning meant, Hui Ying could not help feeling a bit embarrassed before she also quietly began observing her surroundings for any demon beasts that might attack them.

Given that they had spent most of the time inside the jungle being chased by demon beasts, she understood very well how dangerous it was if there really was any demon beasts around to hear her little commotion earlier.

Even if it was only some weaker demon beasts in the Foundation Establishment Realm, their fight with them might end up attracting even stronger demon beasts. Maybe they would even end up attracting a Core Formation Realm demon beast if they were unlucky enough!

”Haaa… Looks like we got lucky that there weren’t any demon beasts around…”

Spending the next few minutes just quietly watching their surroundings, both Hui Ying and Bai Ning let out a breath of relief after no demon beasts appeared to attack them.

Compared to their journey below the ground where the strongest demon beast they had to deal with was in the Qi Condensation Realm, the dangers above the ground was on a totally different level.

Just the slightest bit of carelessness and they might end up dead!

”Let’s get going, its best to get moving as quickly as possible.”

”Yes…”

Not wasting any time after they were sure that there weren’t any demon beasts around, Bai Ning and Hui Ying began their journey towards the closest exit out of the jungle.

During their two-day long journey underground, they had ended up deciding to go towards the exit closest to them. Even if they ended up risking ending up in a more dangerous situation by passing through an exit that they had no idea about what was on the other side, they still felt that it would be a better choice than having to pass through the area with two Core Formation Realm demon beasts roaming through it.

After all, if they encountered the two Core Formation Realm demon beasts again, they might not get lucky enough to escape again!

Not to mention this, Bai Ning and Hui Ying were also afraid of the Nascent Soul Realm demon beast that they had encountered when they first entered the underground part of the jungle through the small secret hideout.

Thinking about it, the main thing they were afraid of encountering was not really the Core Formation Realm demon beasts, they still felt confident in escaping as long as they could get close enough to the place they had entered the jungle through… The Nascent Soul Realm demon beast on the other hand, that was something both of them feared deeply!

Even if the place should not be too close to the path leading back towards the place, they had originally entered the jungle through, both of them understood very well how large of an area the divine sense of a Nascent Soul Realm Expert could cover… Just getting within a few thousand meters of the demon beast in the Nascent Soul Realm would be more than enough for it to lock on to them.

Given the difference in strength between the Foundation Establishment Realm and the Nascent Soul Realm, both Bai Ning and Hui Ying understood that the moment the Nascent Soul Realm demon beast locked on to them, they would be dead.

Considering they had already met several elders from the sect that had reached the Nascent Soul Realm and in Bai Ning’s case, he had even fought with Chu Yang who had reached the Nascent Soul Realm.

No matter what they did, there would be no way for them to escape a Nascent Soul Realm demon beast, both Bai Ning and Hui Ying understood this deep down…

”This is-!?”

”N-Nascent Soul Realm…!?”

For this reason, both Bai Ning and Hui Ying could not help freezing on the spot when they suddenly came face to face with two demon beasts in the Nascent Soul Realm facing off against each other only a short distance away from the place they had left the underground part of the jungle.

The only positive about their current dangerous situation, was that the two powerful demon beasts did not seem to care about them and were instead fully focused on each other…
