Chapter 215: Chapter 215: Infiltrating the Abyss, the Evil Buddha Old Monk

”Indeed, there’s not only Dragon Qi above the Abyss, but many other unexpected things...” Ye Yun gave a poker-faced smile. He took a light leap and gracefully descended.

Upon hearing that there were unexpected things below, Big Black Horse immediately became excited. The Master is calling for him; it’s time to contribute his strength! Big Black Horse was always pulling carts, which bored him. Now, at last, his strength could be put to use. He hurriedly followed, jumping down and descending towards the Abyss along with Ye Yun.

Their descent wasn’t fast; they fell like drifting leaves. Ye Yun moved without haste; such a small place did not warrant tearing the void.

After descending a thousand feet, a soft glow of light blocked their path.

”There’s even a Formation...” Big Black Horse grinned, preparing to smash this Formation with a single punch.

However, Ye Yun shook his head. In his monstrous eyes, small, star-like runes rose. Powers of life and death transformed, and in no time, the large Formation disintegrated like smoke.

Big Black Horse retrieved his punch in disappointment. The Master is so strong! He demolished the large Formation in a blink, causing not even the slightest turbulence. The Master’s strength had already surpassed his imagination.

The two descended towards the Abyss once more. This drifting took a long time. Only after an hour did Big Black Horse witness the shocking sight below the Abyss.

Eight towering black Buddhist Pagodas stood erect on the ground, each one a thousand feet high, appearing ancient and weathered, their aura stunning. On the pillars were carved numerous Buddhist Secret Texts. Between the eight Pagodas, there was a giant Stone Buddha, about two to three hundred feet tall, firmly fixed on the ground. The Buddha figure on the Stone Buddha had its hands crossed into a Buddha Seal. Its countenance was grave, giving off a vague feeling of being both Buddha and Demon.

The Dragon Qi in the depths of the Abyss was extremely dense, at least a hundred times denser than on the mountain peak. Big Black Horse had sharp eyes. To his surprise, he found that all the Dragon Qi was actually emanating from beneath the Stone Buddha. Is this Stone Buddha suppressing the Dragon Qi? Such a possibility suddenly flashed across Big Black Horse’s mind, but it seemed unbelievable.

At this moment, his gaze shifted, and he found the Dragon Lord sitting calmly with his eyes closed on one of the Stone Buddha’s palms, cultivating. The Dragon Lord hadn’t noticed any intruders. After all, he was only at the Tenth Level of the Heavenly Mandate Realm. Since there had been no warnings from the outer Formation, it was impossible for him to know that two figures had appeared not far above his head.

Ye Yun looked at the Dragon Lord, sensed the Golden Divine Dragon Bloodline within him, and said with an indifferent smile, ”Little Horse, go negotiate with the Dragon Lord. Find a way to get him to join My Divine Dragon Sect.”

Big Black Horse nodded and quickly agreed. With one step, he arrived in front of the Dragon Lord in the blink of an eye. He now stood on the other palm of the Stone Buddha. Ye Yun looked at the giant Stone Buddha and the eight black Pagodas, a faint smile on his face. Then, he blended into the void, his presence undetectable.

Big Black Horse intentionally released a wisp of his aura, allowing the Dragon Lord to sense his presence. He chuckled lightly, ”Dragon Lord, wake up.”

Startled by the voice near his ear, the Dragon Lord hurriedly opened his eyes. A stranger was standing opposite him, smiling. Who is this man? The Dragon Lord was shocked. To be able to penetrate the outer Formation so stealthily and reach him... this person’s cultivation base must far surpass his own!

”Who exactly are you?” The Dragon Lord abruptly stood, warily watching the black-robed man across from him. ”What is the meaning of this intrusion?”

”I come from the Dragon God Sect,” Big Black Horse got straight to the point, smiling faintly. ”I’d like to invite you to join our Dragon God Sect. What do you think?”

”Dragon God Sect? Isn’t that a low-grade major sect?” The Dragon Lord scoffed dismissively. ”Are you joking? A Tenth Level Heavenly Mandate Realm Great Demon like me, join such a low-grade sect?”

”This Dragon God Sect is not that Dragon God Sect.” Big Black Horse chuckled and continued, ”The Dragon God Sect you’re referring to was an imposter and has been destroyed. I am now a genuine representative of the Dragon God Sect. Our Sect wishes to recruit members of the Dragon Clan who possess the Dragon God Bloodline. What do you say?”

”Impossible! The Ten Thousand Dragon Ridge offers such uniquely favorable conditions. Why should I join your Dragon God Sect? You’d better leave quickly!” The Dragon Lord curtly rejected the offer. The Dragon Qi in this Abyss was so abundant, allowing his cultivation to flourish like a fish in water. Did he need to go anywhere else? Here, breaking through to the Life and Death Realm would be quite easy for him. He had zero interest in what this black-robed man was saying about his so-called Dragon God Sect.

”If you won’t agree, then I’m afraid I’ll have to use force.” Big Black Horse rolled up his sleeves, ready to make his move.

The Dragon Lord tensed, as if facing a formidable enemy. He carefully watched the black-robed man, formed a spell with both hands, and infused it into the Stone Buddha.

”Hmm?” Big Black Horse’s pupils contracted slightly. Is the Dragon Lord activating some kind of formation? The thought had just surfaced when he felt the ground shake beneath his feet, as if some colossal creature was attempting to claw its way out from the depths. A potent aura erupted from beneath the ground. Simultaneously, the giant Stone Buddha at his feet began to rock lightly.

A golden Buddhist light shot out from between the Stone Buddha’s eyebrows, coalescing in mid-air to reveal an old Monk in crimson robes. The old monk was emaciated, skeletal even, and radiated a faint red bloodlight. Within this radiance, tiny Dragon Shadows could be seen swimming.

”The Eternal Realm?” Upon seeing the red-robed old Monk, Big Black Horse was taken aback. The old monk’s cultivation level actually matched his own!

Ye Yun found this amusing. The sudden appearance of the red-robed old monk brought a dismissive smile to his face. Evil Buddha Sect! He found the old Monk’s aura extremely bizarre, completely different from orthodox Buddhist Cultivators. The Monk belonged to the infamous Evil Buddha Sect. The Evil Buddha Sect had a mysterious heritage and very few Successors. One hundred thousand years ago, Ye Yun himself had killed a Successor of the Evil Buddha Sect. Therefore, he was quite familiar with the unique aura emanating from Evil Buddha Sect Cultivators.

”Amitabha! To think a Great Demon of the Eternal Realm has graced us. What an honor for the Ten Thousand Dragon Ridge...” the old Monk said softly, pressing his palms together, his eyes downcast.

Big Black Horse looked at the red-robed old monk with interest. He wasn’t a native demon beast of the Cangnan Continent and thus didn’t recognize him. He only found the monk’s aura extremely strange, exuding an intense air of malevolence.

The Dragon Lord, encouraged by the sight of the old monk, promptly bowed respectfully and said, ”This person insists on forcing me to join their Dragon God Sect. Master, please decide for me.”

”Rest assured. With me here, no one will lay a finger on you,” the red-robed old monk said with a faint smile, dismissing Big Black Horse entirely.

As his words fell, the surrounding eight black Pagodas flickered with a faint black light. Within the black light, the phantoms of numerous Divine Dragons flashed briefly before disappearing.
