Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 516: Chapter 514:Rejected!

A few moments ago.

Outer orbit of the Martial Spirit World.

The silence of the space around the heavily defended planet was suddenly disturbed as multiple wormholes boomed open and an armada of ships burst through.

The entire region was suffused and filled with so many ships the defensive systems put in place were having a hard time picking out a target, but right then, before any further actions could take place,

”Stand down.” An order came through from the leading ship as the multitude of defensive measures, spatial turrets, and cannons all simultaneously shut down.

Within the leading ship.

”Lord A’horvan, the systems have been successfully deactivated.” An operator reported to a young man at the helm of the ship.

”Hmm.” The young man, his bright purple hair swaying calmly even in the absence of any wind, merely nodded as his gaze remained fixed on the large planet ahead.

”Has there been any word from that sleazy snake that calls himself my family?” The young man asked, his voice cold.

”Reporting to the young master, there have been no reports from young lord A’thuran. His communicators have gone silent. All attempts at reaching him have been futile.”

”Useless!” The youth spat, his aura flaring for an instant before settling down.

”And what of the puny emperor that dared go against the natural order of things?”

”The emperor, Lin Xuan, remains firmly in control of the majority of the high planar galaxies, save for the Spirit Ascension Sect and other regions still held under the authority of the Shen family.” The operator reported respectfully.

”A puny emperor dared think himself above our heads because we were occupied with the war going on in the dragoverse? I wonder what it is exactly that this pathetic branch we’d placed on Prime has been doing. Not only did they lose the valuable resource planet that gave access to a myriad of laws, but they’ve also lost hold on such a prime location as well. I should remove the ruling class entirely while I’m here; such incompetence cannot be accepted within the family.” The young man’s words were beyond terrifying as he spoke casually about dismantling the universal powerhouse that was the Caldera Family, his words hinting at knowledge of events going on within the prime universe despite clearly not being from here.

”And where is the fool that had sent that message? I arrive and the so-called informant doesn’t dare show himself?”

Immediately his words were out, a flash of light blared into the room as a man landed on his knees.

”I greet the young master.” Shen Wu Zhen called out in reverence.

”You only show yourself now? I should have you killed.” The youth chided.

”Mercy, young lord, please have mercy. I was merely trying not to alert Lord A’thuran; he is unaware of my calls and messages, and should he find out, I may not live to see the next sun.” Wu Zhen pleaded.

The youth’s purple eyes flashed coldly the moment he heard those words.

”It would seem some people have truly forgotten where they stand in the grander scheme of things.” A purple glow began covering his arm as he punched the fabric of reality itself, inevitability surging through his body, ”then allow me to enlighten you once more.” His arm sank into reality like it was a mere lake and then,

”Come here, you snake.” He pulled his arm back. At the end of it was the figure of a middle-aged man with brilliant multicolored hair.

”WHO—”

His shout was cut short as,

BANG!!!

An arm slammed his face into the floor, cracking his skull.

”Not only do you not know your place, but you dare raise your voice before this young master? You truly are deserving of death.” The purple-haired young man uttered coldly as the middle-aged man shivered violently.

”Me... mercy... mercy...”

”All the breath you’ve taken till now has been an overwhelming amount of mercy from my hands, and I shall extend them no more.”

”Wait... plea—”

SPLAT!!

His pleas were cut short as the young man, A’horvan, stomped his head into the floor, turning it into a gooey mess, effectively ending the life of the middle-aged man.

Shen Wu Zhen stood frozen in terror at the entire event .

He had just watched a man he had been afraid of even speaking to be pulled out from nowhere and then killed like a measly insect right before him.

A cold chill ran down his spine as he was suddenly aware of the danger he had found himself in.

”You waste our time with these things. Where is the tower, or shall we take matters into our own hands?” A cold and emotionless voice, one that wasn’t heard but felt, cut through the tension of the moment as A’horvan’s face turned grim.

”Dear messengers of the judge, quell your anger, I shall surely bring you to your target. For this I have promised, this I shall fulfill.” The youth that had been overbearing till now suddenly bowed his head as he turned around, not daring to look at the faces of the beings he was addressing.

”He seeks to curry favor for the Calderans’ barbaric game of thrones.” A voice replied.

”He cannot be blamed. Power seeketh power, and no power is beyond Master’s.” Another continued.

”His ambitions are of no consequence. Our objectives are clear: bring back the tower and execute the ones that dared go against the lord’s will. Is that clear?”

”””Affirmative!”””

The speakers were four, paler than white, with the mouths of three forever sewn shut by threads of light, and one had eyes that were nothing but threads of light interwoven together.

On their arms, wound tightly, were golden chains that radiated an aura so oppressive it felt like the world was folding in on itself around them.

They stood in macabre synchrony. Their foreheads marked with the numbers 04, 03, 02, 01.

If Dante and the others were here, they would’ve recognized them as similar to the same beings they had encountered at the space outside of Aetheris Prime, only this time the digits were in the double.

The Harbingers of Penance. Messengers of the cosmic judge, the cosmic pillar, Penance himself, they had encountered this Calderan fleet headed for a universe on their radar, and the leading man had offered to take them to their target.

Now they were here, and they were done waiting.

Their lord’s will remained to be fulfilled. He might be occupied right now, but his will remained unquestionable.

”See to it that you do, for we shall wait no longer.” The messenger numbered 01 spoke with intent as its threaded eyes flared, almost as if seeing things far beyond the reach of mortal vision.

”As you wish, my lords.” The young man, A’horvan, nodded once again before standing up and turning around.

His gaze landed on Wu Zhen, ”you say the emperor is on a different world?”

Wu Zhen nodded.

”Point.” Only one word, but like he had received a divine decree, Wu Zhen’s body moved on its own as his finger pointed in the direction of the Myriad Blossom World.

”What does this emperor look like?” A’horvan asked, and Wu Zhen quickly conjured up the image of Lin Xuan, the man’s majesty shining through even in image form.

”I see. Alright then.” A’horvan nodded calmly, his gaze flashing a brilliant purple hue as the essence of inevitability surged through him once more, his arm punching through the fabric of reality as only one thought occurred in his mind,

”Bring me the emperor.” His arm crossed through layers of reality as it even bypassed whatever resistance might’ve existed on the Myriad Blossom World. Distance became irrelevant, as whatever he wished to obtain, even if in another plane of existence, he could obtain.

Inevitability made it so. Or at least that’s how it had always been, until today, as,

BANG!!!!!

A’horvan’s body was launched into the walls of his ship as his mouth opened and he coughed up a copious amount of blood.

”Impossible.” His eyes shook in disbelief as he couldn’t believe what just happened,

”Inevitability was... rejected?” His mind shook even further as the very notion that something that was meant to be inevitable could actually be denied refused to register in his psyche. Yet before he could think about it any further,

BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! BEEP!! BEEP!! BEEP!!

”WE’RE UNDER ATTACK!!!!!”
