Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 503: Chapter 501:Correction time

Xuan got ready to answer his sister, about to very obviously clear a misconception she probably had about the man’s ruling methods, but I was done being a bystander, not now.

”If I may...” my voice successfully caught the attention of the room as all eyes turned towards me.

”It would seem some people are unsatisfied by the happenings of events that had taken place just now.” I smiled harmlessly, ”might I know why you wish for me to be punished?”

I could feel the disbelieving looks I was receiving from not just everyone within this room but even,

”How can you ask such a question when you literally just broke through the imperial throne room, killed a noble, and then got into a catfight with your woman in their presence like it was nothing?” Sana lashed out as even she seemed to believe I deserved some form of punishment, but,

”What’s there in punishing a disrespectful ant? Those who do not know their places should be effectively put down. It’s a simple rule, so once again, what’s wrong with what Shulvan did?”

Sana went silent at my words. She obviously had more to say, but she already knew me enough to know that no words would ever convince me.

”You speak like you know not your crimes.” Lin Luo Yao’s words drew my attention from my huffing tower spirit back onto her.

”Hmm?” I raised a brow, curious where this woman was taking her argument.

”Not once, but twice, you have dared to undermine the emperor’s authority.” She began, pulling out the events from a few days ago as she continued, ”the first one could have been excused as a discussion of the Dao by two practitioners, but this?” Her eyes swept through the room, my gaze following hers.

The audience here clearly agreed with her, as most of them were giving me the stink eye, ”this is nothing but a blatant attempt to spit in the emperor’s face, and yet you ask me what I mean?”

”I’ll tell you what I mean.” She turned once more to Xuan, ”O emperor, I beseech you to hear the pleas of your humble subjects. Favoring one over the other when in times of judgement may result in a loss of faith from those who have taken you as their path forward. I ask that you place this plebeian, at least under judgment, and not just him, his companions as well are just as guilty, and as for the griffon, I believe your majesty is in need of a powerful martial spirit or mount, that much should be enough to pay for such a gross disregard of your authority.”

Ahhh... there it is.

So even now, she was still thinking about having Leo for herself as a martial spirit?

Sure, she must’ve worded it as the emperor ”acquiring a new mount or martial spirit,” but what would a man like Xuan need with another martial spirit when he already has quite the overpowered one?

Surely, if Xuan were to take Leo out and serve him to the Calderans, have them turn him into a martial spirit, then she could just ask her brother for the spirit and he would most probably give it to her.

It was a brilliant play on words. A brilliant tactic to get her hands on whatever it is she wanted.

I could feel the excitement churning through her as she cast subtle glances at Leo’s figure, clearly already imagining the insane things she would do with such a spirit, but,

”Pathetic.” My voice cooled that excitement down as my gaze slowly turned indifferent, and then,

Step!

I moved.

Step. Step.

One step at a time as I approached the couple ahead.

The multiple auras of those within this room had already locked onto me as they waited for any sudden movements to let hell loose, but I couldn’t care less as I made my way forward.

”Disrespectful?” My voice came out low, ”so what?” The tension in the room thickened.

”I disregarded the emperor’s authority?” My steps never faltered? so freaking what?” Now even the guards had already begun preparing their attacks, but I didn’t stop ; I had already had enough of this woman.

”Even if I did do all of the things you speak of, so fucking what? Since when was it your place to demand that anything be done to me?” Wu Zhen, this fool dared to stand before me as he tried to protect and keep Luo Yao behind him.

I had to give it to the man; his determination to play the caring partner to the end just so he can continue using this woman against her own brother was truly admirable, even if it was misplaced protection since till now, the man probably believed himself stronger, but...

POW!!!

The sound was like thunder through the sudden quiet as a 7-foot beast was now standing where the sect master had been, as for the sect master himself,

BANG!!!

The man had been turned into a painting hanging limply from the wall itself as Paku clapped his hands in satisfaction.

Luo Yao had already fallen flat on her back as merely the shockwaves from Paku’s slap had sent her sprawling; she hadn’t even seen it—one minute she was feeling warmth from being protected, the other her man had suddenly been sent to kingdom come. As for the elder that had come together with them,

”I’d stay right where I was, buddy, I don’t think you want to find out what happens when I snap my fingers, do you?” Salazar had appeared by the man’s side, arms wrapped around his shoulders as he smiled.

The entire audience, be it the emperor, his guards, or the father’s nobles, none had expected such a collision, as I finally arrived right before the sprawling figure of Lin Luo Yao.

”I have been tolerating your foolishness from the start, merely as a form of entertainment, but now, I can’t let your stupidity fester any further.”

It had been entertaining watching her try to come up with ways to take out Leo, and I had been looking forward to what she had planned next, but the state of affairs had put a wrench in those plans.

If I stayed my hands and tried to enjoy the ongoing of events, she might use overwhelming foolishness and actually harm my new brother, and that was something I couldn’t allow.

”You wish for me to be punished? Well, allow me to show you truly the situation you’re in.” I glanced sideways, my gaze locking onto Xuan’s.

”Xuan, who is she?” I already knew, but I still asked.

”My baby sister.” I see. Nodding softly, I returned my full focus onto Luo Yao, ”then I guess this can just be considered a brother’s correction then.” I hadn’t even let her completely understand the meaning behind my words when,

PAPA! A thunderous slap cracked against her cheek as she was sent flying towards the same wall her lover had been planted in.

WOOSH!

With a single thought, I stopped her flying body, pulling her back towards me as her eyes had already widened comically in disbelief and fear, the reddened and swollen cheek looking jarring on her face.

The silence within the hall now was one that could only have come from experiencing overwhelming shock.

”Allow this big brother of yours to help fix that foolishness in you before you do yourself some serious harm, alright?” My smile should’ve been brighter than the sun, I was sure;ut she seemed even more horrified, and this time, I couldn’t even blame her because truly, correction time wasn’t a fun one to be in.

”But alas...” what had to be done, had to be done.

I shook my head in mock pity as my hand raised up once again and, under the continued disbelieving gaze of the room, in almost slow motion, my palm connected with the cheek of the emperor’s sister once more,

PAAAAAAA!!!!
