Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 249: Chapter 248:Dante vs Valen (End)

”Timeless series..”

Past timeline..

The moment the old man got sent flying, my form materialized right behind him, avoiding the piercing blade that had disrupted my sequence, a smile appearing on my face, ”gotcha...”

”Indeed...”

Wooooshhhhhhh!!!!!!

The sound of air splitting behind me echoed in my ears as the world was split into two once more...

”Fu... fuck...

...

2nd iteration-future sequence

The moment the old man split my body in two, I had already used the move in effect once more, as I moved forward in time, appearing right behind the old man whose hand was raised, about to deliver the final blow on my past form,

”Cleave.....” Elira’s flaming blade struck, the raised arm being severed cleanly from the elbow up, my past form giving a bloody psychopathic smile as it looked at me and nodded...

....

Present timeline...

The world blinked as reality corrected itself, my form appearing, bisected and done, as the old man raised his arm, yet before the action could be completed, reality righted itself once more, his arm coming clean off as I appeared behind him, the split figure before him crumbling into nothingness...

”Old man, I already told you.... This is just the tip of the iceberg..”

I grinned.

”I know.”

My smile froze, as his surprised expression faded, his stoic mask being fixed back on.

”I’ve seen enough.”

His arm reformed like it had never been taken off.

The crimson blade moved.

”Endless Death.”

White.

That was all I saw, before it returned.

That blinding, horrifying pain of dying both physically and spiritually...

”Grrrrr...” I gritted my teeth hard, refusing to embarrass myself once more, as I forcefully retreated, distancing myself from the old man..

My focus shifted inward, eyes changing as I witnessed the madness unfold once more within me.

Everything being destroyed, but this time, it was slower..

Wherever the crimson fog came into contact with, the places in my body where heat didn’t exist, it slowed..

”That’s it..”

I acted immediately..

Within me, I shifted the constitution of my internal system, turning half of me into absolute heat, half into absolute absence, creating a singularity INSIDE OF ME...

Hummmmmmm!!!!!!

The merging opposites immediately hummed to life as it spun madly, devouring all that was within me, including... the crimson fog..

”What?..” the old man’s disbelieving voice told me all I needed to know about how right what I was doing was, and in no time,

”Haaa... that was close, I think you’ll need to do better, old...” a massive red blade was already swinging for my head before I could get my words out, my body blurred as space folded and I appeared behind his swinging figure, Elira cleaving down, aiming to bisect the old man..

CLAAAANG!!!!!

His blade maneuvered in an impossible angle as he somehow still blocked my attack

Our eyes met.

White flaming orbs meeting black solemn ones.

Then we moved!

Our figures blurring as continuous sounds of clashing metal rang out...

The environment around us not being spared as the earth was as upturned, the sky ruptured, it was an apocalyptic scene to say the least...

Clang!!!!

Our blades clashed once more as our figures separated..

We stared at each other as we measured our moves, my eyes flashed, the world dissolving into lines and structural codes, I focused on his figure, Elira swinging down, the attack already landing, or so I thought,

”I’ve already gotten used to that one...” as his voice came from behind me, sword piercing straight through my back..

Blerghhhh!!!!!

My mouth opened as blood sprayed out, disbelief clear in my eyes..

”Ba... barrage...”

Weapons manifested themselves, swords, spears, axes, staves.

Just like they did in the hellish forge, but this time around, they were different.

As some burned in blistering heat, while others were so cold they... burned.

WOOOOOSHHHHH!!!

Uncaring for myself, the barrage fell in punishing waves, bombarding both mine and the old man’s figure...

BOOOMM!!

BOOOMM!!

BOOOMM!!

The terrain was terraformed from the shockwaves being released from the blast of the attacks, but I was unrelenting.

The singularity behind me spun wildly, devouring every trace of heat within the surrounding space.

The world slowed.

Then it slowed further.

Until I finally realized what was actually happening.

It wasn’t freezing matter.

It was stealing the energy required for motion itself.

And motion was beginning to... die.

HUMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!

”Absolute series....”

”Dead at the gates...” a terrifying crimson slash hurtled towards me, moving at blistering speeds despite the slowed down environment, but, ”it’s too late....”

I whispered quietly...

”Zone...”

Waaap!!!!!

The entire area went white as our figures became engulfed in a domain of Absolution...

”The Abosolute Mandate...”

.....

”Ha...hahaha...hahahaha.. he has a law zone..” Tian laughed, a wild, crazy sound.

”Of course he has a law zone. Why wouldn’t he have a law zone? He already has a perfected law state, multiple supreme laws, how many other major laws, sure, let’s just add a law zone to the mix, why not? I mean, it’s not like it took most of us years just to do anyone of those shit that this bastard seems to be using like something cheap he picked up from the store, right? Hahahaha....” The old dragon seemed to have been broken by the ridiculousness of what he was witnessing.

Both Raven and Dakota themselves had gone silent as they watched the phenomenon unfold, their expressions telling nothing of the turmoil they were feeling within..

...

I surveyed the place we’d spawned in the moment I used that move.

Just like the others, this was the first time I was putting this ”zone” in practical use, so I was surprised by how it looked..

”A law zone...” I looked up, the old man was also looking around.

His expression indifferent...

”How... how did you even do this? You’re not supposed to be capable of this, of any of this..” I could hear a distinct note of disbelief and doubt creeping into the old man’s voice, as it seemed I’d succeeded in truly shocking him this time around.

”Heh! I guess I’m built different.”

....

..

”Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!! Beautiful reply young lad!!” A boisterous voice sounded within the white space, startling me..

I looked around, wondering if somehow, someone had gotten in.

”Don’t bother, boy! I am here!” I looked forward, at the old man, more specifically, at his... sword.

”You.. can talk?”

”If that little girl in your hands can talk, then surely this old man is more than qualified, hahahahahaha...” the voice laughed.

”Little valen, will you continue your tests? Or will you give this brilliant young man the honor he has earned!” The voice spoke up, addressing the old man, but his words confused me.

”Indeed, I have seen enough.” The old man’s reply was even more confusion..

”Enough? Old man, we’re just getting started.”

”No! This spar,” he raised his sword with one arm, the sword tip pointing upwards, ”is over..”

”Little lad! Remember, the one you lost to today, my name is Rhadamanth, I am the sword of slaughter, the harbinger of massacre, I shall await the time you and that little girl will be able to face me, not as sparring partners, but as true challengers to our status, but until then...”

”Fourth Form...Massacre.”

Before I could even blink, the world went black, utter darkness clouding my vision until,

”Gasssppp!!!!”

I awoke with a sharp gasp.

”Ahhh... little Dante, welcome back to the world of the living..”
