Catastrophic necromancer

**Chapter 1152: Unexpectedly, the Soul Couldn’t Hold On First**

Since upgrading the two fundamental spells, [Strong Soldier] and [Gathering Power], to the stellar level, Lin Moyu hadn’t had the chance to test their power.

Especially since his physical body had also reached the peak of True God, capable of bearing even greater power.

Both fundamental spells demand high requirements for both the soul and the body.

The stronger the body and soul, the more power can be exerted.

Lin Moyu’s soul, at the peak of the fourth grade, was already at the pinnacle, with a jade soul turning purple.

His physical body, reaching the peak of True God, was stronger than many God Sovereigns.

In this state, Lin Moyu also wanted to know to what extent he could reach. When he encountered the second avatar of the Abyssal Dragon Demon, Lin Moyu had intended to test it. However, he was concerned that the Abyssal Dragon Demon would discover his fundamental spells, so he didn’t use them immediately. Zhu Qiwu seemed to have noticed his concern and dealt with the Abyssal Dragon Demon for him. But here, Lin Moyu believed no one could understand. Even ordinary God Sovereigns might not recognize the spells he used. Zhu Qiwu had mentioned that fundamental spells were too advanced, and very few had seen them. Only if someone possessed fundamental spells themselves could they recognize them.

“Let’s begin!”

Lin Moyu whispered in his heart as a cold wind blew, and the Skeleton King’s throne flashed.

It only flashed for a moment before disappearing like a bubble.

Lin Moyu summoned the Skeleton King and then retracted it instantly.

His purpose was not to use the Skeleton King in battle but to inherit the Skeleton King’s spell: God-Slaying!

**Fundamental Spell: Gathering Power!**

**[Gathering Power (Fusion Rate 110%): Consumes soul power to enter the Gathering Power state. In this state, all summoned creatures’ power and spells are inherited, breaking through original limits and unleashing power beyond the extreme. The Gathering Power state continuously consumes soul power, weakening as the soul power diminishes. During this period, killing living beings can absorb their power to maintain the state. The Gathering Power state puts immense pressure on the body and soul, and overuse may lead to self-destruction.]**

For the first time, Lin Moyu drove the stellar-level fundamental spell, inheriting all the Skeleton King’s power, and then began to gather the power of the entire undead army onto himself.

A vast power grew within him, and Lin Moyu felt such immense power for the first time.

His aura rapidly increased, from True God fifth tier to True God seventh tier, and then to the peak of True God!

The speed of his aura’s rise accelerated, reaching the limit of the True God realm in an instant.

After reaching the peak of the True God realm, Lin Moyu still felt no pressure.

Both his body and soul could continue to bear even greater power.

With a light shout, he broke through the True God boundary, reaching the God King realm.

God King first tier, second tier… like a hot knife through butter.

It wasn’t until the fifth tier of the God King realm that Lin Moyu finally felt a sense of swelling.

The swelling came from his soul, though it hadn’t reached its limit and could continue, Lin Moyu knew it wasn’t necessary.

The soul’s quality was high enough, but the level was still low.

Of course, he could continue to break through, reaching even higher levels.

Even if his soul burst, he didn’t care, as he had the talent to revive instantly.

But Lin Moyu didn’t continue, knowing that the fifth tier of the God King realm was enough.

“Unexpectedly, the soul reached its limit first, while the body hasn’t.”

“Thinking about it, those God Sovereigns’ bodies are only at the True God realm.”

“The body at the True God realm is enough to bear God Sovereign-level power. No wonder most cultivators only train their souls, ignoring the body.”

“Gathering Power is complete. Next should be Strong Soldier.”

**Fundamental Spell: Strong Soldier!**

**[Strong Soldier (Fusion Rate 110%): Consumes soul power to enter the Strong Soldier state. In this state, all damage caused by summoned creatures is amplified tenfold. The Strong Soldier state continuously consumes soul power, which can be replenished by killing enemies. In this state, part of the absorbed soul power can be retained as one’s own strength. However, external soul power contains impurities, and it’s best to refine and purify it before absorption.]**

With the battle power of the fifth tier of the God King realm, using the Strong Soldier state would unleash tenfold damage.

Moreover, killing enemies could absorb their souls, retaining part of it as nourishment. This fundamental spell was truly perverse, a spell born for battle and killing.

All of Lin Moyu’s changes were invisible and imperceptible to those outside the arena.

Only the Prison Lion inside the arena sensed Lin Moyu’s changes.

In the previous second, the person in front of it was like an ant, but suddenly, he surpassed it.

This left it confused and terrified.

It shrank back, its fur standing on end, and the chains clanged violently.

This scene puzzled the onlookers.

“Why is the Prison Lion scared? It’s really scared.”

“It seems to fear Lin Moyu. A second-tier God King star beast fearing a fourth-tier True God, does that make sense?”

“Is this really a star beast? Could it be fake?”

The crowd began to discuss again.

Meng Gang heard this and cursed in his heart, “Fake my ass, if you have the guts, go in and try it yourself.” At this moment, a sword appeared in Lin Moyu’s hand, a sword formed by the law of immortality.

His soul power was rapidly depleting, with both fundamental spells activated simultaneously. With his soul power, he could only last for tens of seconds, so he had to finish the battle quickly.

In the arena, no magical treasures could be used.

So he condensed a sword with the law, as God-Slaying must be performed with a sword, any sword would do.

“Although my realm has improved, my control over the law hasn’t.”

“By this calculation, I’m actually not as good as a fifth-tier God King. But [Strong Soldier] makes up for the deficiency, making me stronger than a God King of the same tier.”

While pondering, Lin Moyu’s soul locked onto the Prison Lion.

From nearly ten thousand kilometers away, he lightly swung his sword.

**Spell: God-Slaying!**

The spell belonging to the Skeleton King was perfectly recreated in Lin Moyu’s hands.

Moreover, its power was even greater than that of the Skeleton King.

The Prison Lion let out its final scream, sensing the approach of death.

But it was too late, as a bright sword light appeared on its body.

After swinging this sword, Lin Moyu immediately dispersed the law sword, knowing it was unnecessary, as the Prison Lion was doomed.

The Prison Lion’s massive body shattered into pieces under the sword light.

Lin Moyu felt a vast soul power returning to his soul, with the talent tree being the first to act, absorbing all the power.

It then performed the first purification.

After the purification, it handed over to the Nine-Colored Dragon Soul Crystal for the second refinement.

The original soul power transmitted was reduced to less than one-tenth, with all impurities removed, leaving only pure essence.

Lin Moyu absorbed this essence, strengthening his soul.

He felt himself growing stronger, with the soul’s strength deepening his understanding of the law.

“Indeed, this is a good way to cultivate.”
