Catastrophic necromancer

Chapter 411: Want to Use Skeletons for Experiments? Are You Courting Death?

The black powder in the bottle was corpse poison. Lin

The toxicity wasn’t strong; it should be low-level corpse poison.

Lin Moyu had dealt with so many corpses in the Corpse Realm that he wouldn’t mistake it.

It should have come from Dongfang Yao’s mother.

Lin Moyu asked in a low voice, “Senior Alchemist, what do you intend to do?”

Shu Ping said, “I couldn’t analyze the root of the skill, so I want to try starting from the process of eliminating the corpse poison.”

Lin Moyu’s face changed sharply, “You want to use my skeletons to test the poison.”

Shu Ping was a bit surprised by Lin Moyu’s reaction, “General Lin, do you find it inappropriate?”

Lin Moyu’s face didn’t look good, his eyes showed displeasure, and his voice was slightly low, “Skeletons are my comrades. They can die in battle, but in peacetime, they are absolutely not tools for any experiments.”

“If Senior Alchemist needs my help, I will do it without hesitation.”

“But if you want to use my comrades as experimental subjects, it’s impossible.”

Lin Moyu spoke very straightforwardly, leaving no room for negotiation.

Shu Ping never expected Lin Moyu to value his skeletons so much!

After all, as far as he knew, Lin Moyu had thousands upon thousands of skeletons.

Dongfang Yao also mentioned that in the Corpse Realm, Lin Moyu’s undead legion was almost entirely wiped out.

He thought the skeletons were Lin Moyu’s summoned creatures, more like tools for battle.

Unexpectedly, Lin Moyu regarded the skeletons as his comrades.

This kind of sentiment he could understand. Many summoners felt the same way; their summoned creatures were their family, their closest partners.

If someone wanted to use their summoned creatures as experimental subjects, the result would be a fight to the death.

Dongfang Yao looked anxious, but Shu Han held her hand, signaling her not to worry.

She knew her grandfather must have other methods.

Shu Ping, with a hint of apology, said, “It was presumptuous of me. General Lin, please don’t take offense.”

His tone was very sincere, without a trace of pretense.

Lin Moyu took a deep breath, “It’s fine. Is there anything else I can help with? As long as it doesn’t harm them, we can discuss it.”

Shu Ping thought for a moment, “I have another method that might work. I promise it won’t harm General Lin’s summoned creatures.”

As long as it didn’t harm the undead legion, Lin Moyu had no objections.

Shu Ping took out a bottle of potion and sprinkled it on the Skeleton Berserker.

While sprinkling, he said, “This is a skill absorption potion I developed. It can absorb various skills, whether auxiliary or offensive, and store them.”

“When needed, it can be used again.”

Lin Moyu suddenly thought of the use of the skill absorption potion, “Does this potion have any limitations?”

Shu Ping said, “There are limitations, of course. For example, it can’t store god-level skills. Some special skills also can’t be stored, such as…”

Lin Moyu asked, “Can it store skills from the Primordial Runes?”

Shu Ping shook his head, “It shouldn’t be possible. The skills from the Primordial Runes are too high-level, beyond the scope of god-level skills.”

Lin Moyu had already guessed the result, so he wasn’t disappointed.

Not being able to store them was normal.

The potion had already covered the entire body of the Skeleton Berserker, enveloping it in a layer of green light.

Lin Moyu indeed didn’t sense any harm to the Skeleton Berserker. The potion just covered the surface of the Skeleton Berserker’s body, doing nothing else.

“Please, General Lin, use the dispel skill again.”

Lin Moyu nodded, and with a thought, the Lich General used the dispel skill again.

Under the dispel skill, the green light on the Skeleton Berserker quickly faded.

After a few moments, the Skeleton Berserker returned to its original state, and the potion completely disappeared.

Shu Ping’s eyes showed a look of shock, “How could this be? Even my skill absorption potion was dispelled.”

The dispel skill was meant to eliminate various abnormal states.

As long as the level didn’t exceed the skill’s limit, any abnormal state could be dispelled.

Shu Ping’s skill absorption potion was also treated as an abnormal state and was dispelled.

This situation was completely beyond Shu Ping’s expectations.

After some thought, he had an answer, “It seems the Lich General’s skill works from the inside out. This skill is truly unique.”

Lin Moyu thought it was indeed possible. The Lich General’s skill was indeed different from others.

Shu Ping couldn’t think of any other methods for the time being.

Lin Moyu said, “If there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave.”

Shu Ping said, “Thank you for your trouble today, General Lin. Han’er, see General Lin off.”

Shu Han nodded and led Lin Moyu out.

Before leaving, Lin Moyu glanced at Dongfang Yao, “Has your Dongfang family not prepared the compensation yet? Are you planning not to compensate?”

Dongfang Yao trembled all over. At this moment, she found Lin Moyu somewhat terrifying.

Dongfang Yao quickly said, “There have been many things at home these days. My father and the others will come in a few days.”

Lin Moyu nodded, “My master is waiting.”

Shu Han saw Lin Moyu off until he disappeared from sight.

Dongfang Yao, with tears in her eyes, asked, “Grandfather Alchemist, is there really no hope for my mother?”

Shu Ping shook his head, “Corpse poison is the most bizarre poison I’ve ever seen. So far, besides General Lin’s Lich General being able to dispel it, there’s no other way.”

Dongfang Yao anxiously said, “But his skeletons can’t be used for experiments.”

Shu Ping sighed, “That’s normal. For most summoners, their summoned creatures are their closest partners. As General Lin said, they fight side by side. Summoned creatures can die in battle, but they can’t be used for experiments.”

“Think about it, Yao’er. If someone wanted to use your mother for experiments, how would you react?”

Dongfang Yao said without hesitation, “I would fight to the death. But he has so many skeletons.”

Shu Ping smiled, “It has nothing to do with the number. Your mother’s poison, I’ll think of another way. At least in the ice-sealing formation, her condition is stable, and her life is not in immediate danger.”

“General Lin also promised you that as long as he has the ability, he will definitely save her. With his character, he will keep his word.”

Dongfang Yao was still worried, “But how long will that take?”

Shu Ping said calmly, “It won’t be long. When he reaches god-level, it should be about time.”

“Really? I wonder when he will reach god-level.”

“Very soon. With his leveling speed, it won’t take long.”

Shu Han, with an apologetic look, said, “I’m sorry, Lin Junior. I didn’t expect my grandfather to make such a request.”

Lin Moyu said lightly, “It’s not your fault. Maybe Senior Alchemist didn’t understand the bond between me and my skeletons. Perhaps he thought my skeletons were just tools because I have so many.”

Shu Han looked at Lin Moyu and cautiously asked, “You’re not angry, are you?”

Lin Moyu smiled slightly, “Not at all. Ignorance is not a crime. I’m not that petty.”

Shu Han breathed a sigh of relief, “That’s good, that’s good.”

Shu Han then said, “Don’t be angry with Princess Yao either. She just wants to save her mother. Last time, she didn’t mean to put you in danger in the Corpse Realm.”

Mentioning Dongfang Yao, Lin Moyu’s voice turned slightly cold, “I understand. I promised her that when I have the ability, I will come back to save her mother.”

Lin Moyu would keep his word.

After returning to Xia Jing Academy, Lin Moyu received a message from Ning Yiyi.

“I’m going for a trial!” That was all it said, without mentioning how long she would be gone or where she was going.

Being born into such a family isn’t necessarily a good thing.

Resources are abundant, and leveling up is fast, but it’s also much more exhausting than for ordinary people, with greater pressure.

Look at Mo Yun, even someone like Dongfang Yao, a princess, doesn’t have it easy.

Returning to the dungeon hall, Lin Moyu entered the [Beast God Plateau] dungeon alone and started solo farming.

Before reaching level 50, the [Beast God Plateau] dungeon was the best place for leveling up.

Lin Moyu planned to reach level 50 as soon as possible, then go to the Ancient Battlefield to meet that mysterious and terrifying existence.
