Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 145: Chapter 64: Nora and the Bronze Dragon’s Curious Journey (Part 4)

Even when using the power of the Giant Dragon to suppress these monsters, they won’t take it seriously, since nature is hard to change. Yet within the Gogomola Dragon Group Territory, they became part of the order, making her somewhat admire the entire Dragon Group.

”Let’s go, let’s go down and take a look. There are some Jackal-Wolf Men battling Forest Giants there. That Jackal Wolfman Leader seems to be quite a formidable guy; perhaps he knows a lot.” The Bronze Dragon Alina signaled Red Copper Dragon Alfred to follow her.

Whoosh, the Jackal Wolfman Leader Yougu pulled out his recently upgraded shotgun from the body of the fallen Giant Demon, the sharp glint of its tip appearing even more dangerous when stained with blood.

He was very satisfied with this weapon; it was lighter than the previous Three-Headed Flail and allowed for faster killing. He could use this Long Spear to kill in the Giant Demon tribe for a day and night without feeling fatigued.

Yougu scanned the jungle, confirming no Giant Demons had come to the territory to cause trouble or poach. He nodded with satisfaction and was about to speak in the Jackal-Wolf Man language but restrained himself, opting instead to give orders to his warriors in the common language.

”Drag these stinking Forest Giants back; consider it a gift from the Jackal-Wolf Men to the goblin tribe. As we have just become the beloved of the Giant Dragon, we should foster good relations with other beloveds,”

”These stinking Forest Giants might not even be liked by those goblins,” the hesitant Jackal Wolfman Mage behind him remarked. The bodies of these Giant Demons were covered in colorful moss, emitting a stench comparable to some swamps that have been accumulating for countless years in the forest. Perhaps only the scavenging vultures on the plains could stomach the Giant Demons’ corpses.

”No worries, ask those in the goblin tribe first. If even the goblin tribe doesn’t want them, drag these Giant Demons’ bodies to the Dragon Group’s orchard. Lady Antajena has been paying close attention to the orchard recently. These Giant Demons’ bodies could serve as fertilizer for the fruit trees Lady Antajena is cultivating.”

The Jackal Wolfman Yougu replied nonchalantly. The goblin tribe has virtually become the garbage disposal for the Dragon Group’s beloved, with the saying ”if you don’t eat it, give it to the dog” now being replaced by ”if you don’t eat it, give it to the goblin.”

Whoosh, a strong wind roared overhead, even bending the thick branches that had grown for countless years. Two young Giant Dragons approached from the distant sky, hovering midair in front of the Jackal Wolfman.

The Jackal Wolfman Yougu’s gaze focused, his killing intent re-ignited. He signaled his Spellcaster subordinates to prepare to release the message-carrying Flying Birds and Ravens, while gripping his weapon tightly and actively greeting the young Giant Dragons in the sky.

”Respected True Dragons from afar, halt your steps. Ahead lies the Dragon Group’s territory; entering hastily would be considered an act of invasion by the Dragon Group.”

The Jackal Wolfman Yougu said in a low voice, thinking perhaps today was the day to demonstrate his loyalty to the Red Dragon. As for the two young Giant Dragons before him, with his strength, he could at least drag them until the Dragon Group arrives for reinforcements. As long as he avoided direct confrontation, he was more agile in the forest than these two dragons.

Red Copper Dragon Alfred and Bronze Dragon Alina exchanged glances, both wondering why the Jackal Wolf Man was unafraid of them. Moreover, from the Jackal Wolf Man’s actions, it seemed he even intended to engage with the two young Giant Dragons.

However, the two dragons were Metal Dragons, not Five-Color Dragons that would rashly engage in conflict at the slightest disagreement. So, Red Copper Dragon Alfred and Bronze Dragon Alina landed on the ground, indicating they had no intention of invading the territory.

”Jackal-Wolf Man, I appreciate your courage. However, Alina and I do not intend to offend the Dragon Group’s territory. We are here to find my friend, Karon Gogomola. He will welcome our arrival.”

Red Copper Dragon Alfred explained to the Jackal Wolfman before him. Dragons always had a special appreciation for loyal and brave beloveds, and the Red Copper Dragon and Bronze Dragon were no exceptions. Rarely did they lower their noble stance towards such despised creatures.

The Jackal Wolfman Yougu nodded but did not relax. Instead, he remarked neither humbly nor arrogantly, ”I am just a newly acquired minion under my lord Karon, unaware of such matters. I will send the message via Flying Bird to other beloveds, so they may report to the Giant Dragon Lords.”

”Perhaps the two esteemed True Dragons might visit Golden Harbor Town, register your purpose at the civil affairs office there. Civil Servant Lady Fafnir has the authority to escort the two esteemed Giant Dragons to the Dragon Nest to meet my lord.”

Bronze Dragon Alina and Red Copper Dragon Alfred exchanged another glance, nodded, and then told the Jackal Wolfman Yougu, ”Alright, we won’t trouble you. Besides, we’d like to see what the territory managed by the Dragon Group looks like.”

Only then did the Jackal Wolfman Yougu bow in respect, pointing towards the coast, ”Fly straight from here about three hundred miles, and you will see Golden Harbor Town, esteemed True Dragons.”

Whoosh, the two young Giant Dragons flapped their wings and flew towards the distance!
