Armed Train in the Apocalypse

(Let me use Moscow that I randomly chose as a diagram for Tasia)

Two snowmobiles sped across the snowy plain, Tasia’s white military uniform flapping loudly in the biting cold wind.

After leaving the range of the armed train, the temperature noticeably dropped. Her Tier Three Evolver constitution was fine, but Tier Two Evolver Yuri, even in his custom thermal suit, was cursing under his breath due to the chilling wind.

He could only alleviate the pain by talking continuously.

Yuri, while driving the snowmobile, loudly complained to Tasia behind him, ”Your Highness, you were really too reckless just now. Although you’ve already advanced to Tier Three, you shouldn’t rashly provoke a Tier Four strongman, especially when the opponent is Su Huan. His temperament and character are not good at all.”

Tasia, sitting sideways on the snowmobile, coolly said, ”Currently, all information about Tier Four comes from Donghuang. Haven’t you been tricked by them enough? Information at this level must be personally witnessed to have value.”

”But the cost...”

”It’s just some munitions. As long as we can get accurate information about above Tier Four, no matter how big the cost, Gunfire can afford it.”

Sensing Tasia’s determination, Yuri was silent for a moment and ceased to dwell on the matter.

He then asked, ”Your Highness, is the gap between Tier Four and Tier Three really that big?”

The woman’s long eyelashes trembled slightly, scattering snowflakes like needles, involuntarily recalling in her mind the scene of a bullet stopping in front of that man.

Most Tier Three ”Defenders” have abilities like Domains.

But the ”Firepower Hand” series mainly relies on firearms. Facing Tier One and Two, it can crush them, but against the strange and powerful abilities of Tier Three, it’s already insufficient. She can’t always carry a close-in weapon system with her, so she inclined towards energy evolution when she was at Tier Two.

This step was a gamble that paid off, allowing her to advance smoothly to Tier Three ”Trench Breaker.”

Her bullets are ”enchanted,” but it’s not just about increasing power. The core of this profession is to change the weapon’s mode of attack, from a ”point” to a ”space.”

By adding ”energy” to the bullets to shake that entire space.

If it were a normal large-caliber machine gun, it would use each bullet to apply force to change the target’s state. However, the ”Trench Breaker” sees the entire space as a target, with each bullet affecting all objects within that space.

Solid encampments, transmission of sound, and even energy-formed barriers are the origins of the ”Breaker.”

Not just people, even intangible entities like the Pale Demon would be torn apart by her bullets.

But in front of Su Huan, all these effects seemed to be disabled, and even the kinetic energy of the bullets disappeared without a trace. It’s not like hitting very hard armor; even if temporarily unable to penetrate, she knows that just increasing the caliber will definitely break the defense.

But Su Huan’s casual demeanor was a complete dimensional crushing.

Without finding the key, even carrying a nuclear bomb here would have the same effect.

And that key is the core secret of advancing to Tier Four.

”If we can’t advance to Tier Four, we simply do not qualify to plan for the future.”

Tasia said calmly yet brutally.

Yuri gritted his teeth, ”No matter how powerful he is, he still has to survive from the white catastrophe first, and those things are coming for him!”

Tasia did not argue with Yuri anymore, as he was merely finding some confidence by pulling someone down to push himself up.

To be compared to a catastrophe is already the highest affirmation of one’s strength.

...

Dragon Gate City, City Hall.

”Already entered the Wind Snow Zone?”

The travel-worn Fu Lanshan rubbed his forehead, repeating with some helplessness.

The stout Ruble helplessly spread his hands, ”Yes, it’s been more than half a month. You know the condition of the Wind Snow Zone, hard to set up even a fixed camp, and we don’t know the current whereabouts of the armed train.”

Seeing that he couldn’t get more information from Ruble, after paying a consultation fee, Fu Lanshan was ready to leave, only to be called by Ruble.

The latter smiled and said, ”Dragon Gate is not an open city. If your company wants to stay long-term in Dragon Gate, you need to pay a stationing fee, as well as resource usage, security management... a total of twenty-three fees, but considering it’s your company’s first visit, as the mayor of Dragon Gate, I can decide to give Deep Blue Data a three percent discount. Will you pay in materials or exchange notes?”

Fu Lanshan heard the string of fees and coldly laughed to himself, but outwardly he remained dignified, ”No need for a discount, Deep Blue Data can afford these fees.”

Upon hearing this, Ruble’s eyes slightly brightened, and he eagerly saw Fu Lanshan off, then tore up the settlement sheet handed by his subordinate, angrily chastising, ”How can such a small amount match President Fu’s stature?!”

”Double it, triple all the fees for me!”

The subordinate was shocked, ”This...is not very good, right?”

”What’s not good, still want to eat and drink in my Dragon Gate for free, does he think he is the train manager?!”

At this moment, Fu Lanshan did not know he was being mercilessly extorted by Ruble. He was currently leisurely chatting in Hua Junyan’s private residence, looking relaxed, like old friends.

Hua Junyan’s attitude was much more respectful, as if facing an elder.

Strictly speaking, Fu Lanshan indeed was his elder, albeit with a somewhat distant blood relationship.

”Uncle Lanshan, if I may be frank, the probability of you being crushed instantly by appearing beside him is over eighty percent. From my observation, benefits are just a façade he hangs onto, why take such a risk?”
