Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Chapter 13: Chapter 12: Hope You Hurry Up

Su Huan compared the list of 3,000 steel plates provided by Yu Jing, considering the work required to cover all forty-two carriages and the locomotive with steel plates was immense. However, there was no shortage of people on the train.

Qi Xiaobai only needed to do some simple cutting and welding, and the energy consumption wasn’t much.

Su Huan pinched his fingertips and turned his gaze to Wan Xing, ”Your task for tomorrow is to collect Pan-energy Crystals from zombie bodies. As for the zombie problem, you don’t need to worry, I’ll handle it.”

”Okay.” Wan Xing agreed without hesitation.

”Alright, Liang Kuan, you have two tasks. One is to sort and organize the collected supplies, the other is to bring the zombie bodies here, and you have to do it yourself. Don’t let those people in the back get on the train.”

”Understood.”

With the Pan-energy Crystals, the issue of endurance was also resolved.

Pan-energy Crystals can be directly absorbed by Evolvers, with the absorbed parts disappearing into thin air, while the remaining parts maintain a stable ”crystal” state.

But the duration is limited, and only collectors can maintain the Pan-energy Crystal form for a long time.

Su Huan took a moment to check his watch, and before he knew it, it was already ten o’clock in the evening.

There’s no denying that time without entertainment seems to stretch on endlessly.

”That’s it for today. Everyone can go rest now. You can choose any of the soft sleeper compartments in Carriage No. 4.”

Su Huan was the first to stand up and head towards Carriage No. 3.

This entire carriage was reserved just for him.

Standing at the door, Su Huan hesitated to enter, eventually turning around to look at Yu Jing standing calmly behind him, asking suspiciously, ”Aren’t you going to sleep? Why are you following me?”

”Your room has many tools. I’d like to borrow some.”

Su Huan glanced at her sideways, thinking so you haven’t figured out to offer yourself.

Pushing the door open and entering, the room was completely remodeled, with various tools arranged against the wall on a makeshift shelf, and scattered pencils and steel rulers neatly lined up on the table.

The carpet had been replaced, the oil stains were gone, and the bed was clean and tidy.

”My mom cleaned up.”

Yu Jing naturally entered the room and picked out some items.

Just as she was about to leave, she saw Su Huan standing at the door with an inexplicable expression, making no move to step aside.

Yu Jing raised her fair chin, her phoenix eyes showing a hint of curiosity, ”Do you want to sleep with me?”

The question came unexpectedly, and Su Huan didn’t think she would speak so directly, feeling as though he had been transported to three years after the apocalypse.

Back then, the girls were just as enthusiastic and bold.

But she was obviously different, showing no shyness or desire on her face, simply asking the question.

Su Huan naturally didn’t want to be outdone, the corner of his mouth lifting, ”I do want to.”

Yu Jing frowned but then relaxed, ”I see. Physically, there’s no issue, and ethically, it’s the apocalypse, so there’s nothing to worry about. But my mom might not accept it.”

Su Huan felt like a pervert meeting another pervert, his desire falling short, but his fighting spirit rising instead.

How could a great apocalypse survivor like him be handled by a rookie?

”So you can accept it?” Su Huan didn’t retreat but advanced, grasping Yu Jing’s slender waist with one hand.

It was slim, yet resilient.

Her high-waisted jeans fit tightly, accentuating her long leg lines and curvy hips.

Just like her self-introduction, full of healthy vitality.

With both hands encircling her, a sense of control welled up, of course with a bit of status added.

Su Huan’s high school grades weren’t great; he barely made it to college, carrying an unconscious longing for higher education. It’s undeniable that Yu Jing’s excellence also stimulated his desire.

Yu Jing had no reaction to Su Huan’s actions, calmly glancing at the watch on her left wrist, ”If you need to, can you let me take a shower first?”

Su Huan squinted, with a hint of danger, ”Are you in a hurry?”

”Rest assured, I’m 22 this year, have never had a boyfriend, and it’s my first time. I’m in good health with no diseases, completely capable of meeting your needs, but I’d like to draw some sketches before sleep, so I hope you can be quick.”

”I’m quite slow when it comes to that kind of thing.”

Su Huan’s fingers slid down, stopping at the metal buckle on her waist, gently flicking it, the excitement of unwrapping a gift filling his mind.

Yu Jing’s eyes remained calm, with a hint of confusion, ”Sensations go numb after ten minutes, and continuing would result in more pain than pleasure.”

Watching Yu Jing’s serious analysis, Su Huan was oddly amused. He realized this woman wasn’t pretending to be calm; she genuinely didn’t care about what might happen with him.

Su Huan pointed at her flat belly with his fingers, ”Would you care if it was someone else?”

Yu Jing looked up surprised, her gentle fingers quickly swiping across Su Huan’s chin, a smile forming on her face, possessing a beauty like a breaking iceberg slipping into the sea, ”No, you’re a bit handsome.”

With that said, taking advantage of Su Huan’s stunned moment, she bent down and slipped through his arms.

Leaving the room, her brow relaxed and her smile gradually faded.

She didn’t dislike Su Huan, but that was all.

The reason she said that wasn’t out of any feeling but because she saw it as the best solution at the time.

Men are simple creatures, like cats sniffing around when they can’t get what they want, making one restless.

She figured it was better to let him get enough at once, so his attention would return to her actual abilities and value.

But she didn’t want to base her standing on the train on her body.

She appreciated Su Huan’s admiration for her but didn’t wish it mixed with a man’s admiration for a woman.

Moreover...

She very much liked the crazy plan of remodeling the train to resist the zombie tide.

...

Under the dim light, pencils drew straight lines on white paper, but at the last moment, it slipped unexpectedly, creating an inconsistency in the otherwise beautiful drawing, a snapping sound heard.

Su Huan had snapped the pencil.

Troubled hands clenched, a high temperature rising, burning the newly sketched interior train design.

”Damn, I’ve been handled!”

”Forget it, sleep now. When I free up, she’ll come around sooner or later.”

Su Huan thought vehemently.

Tonight, the conductor was too upset and forgot to write his log.

...

Inside Carriage No. 24.

In the pitch black, a rough voice cursed, ”Who knows what that Su guy is thinking, letting all sorts of people on board. That little punk even dares to steal from me; I just twisted one of his fingers and his whole damn family dared to confront me! Really unaware of danger!”

”Calm down, Brother Dog.” A young man with a bandit’s face lay on the seat.

His foot restlessly pushed down on a woman working beneath him, ”Go, relieve Brother Dog’s anger.”

The woman flinched, hurriedly turned around, feeling her way in the dark.

Before she could find it, she was suddenly knocked over from behind.

The young man panted, saying, ”That Su guy’s methods are too sinister. Let the people in Car No. 7 try first.”

The man referred to as Brother Dog grew impatient with the fumbling underneath, slapping out.

”Useless!”

The woman groaned but did not dare make a sound.

Brother Dog sighed comfortably, ”They approached me, and I thought the same—let them try. I’m not sticking my neck out.”

”By the way, send some people to bring that old woman’s daughter-in-law here. They started the trouble; let them end it!”

Laughter erupted around them.
