Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1131: The Uninvited Visitor

Farah smiled after recalling the two young Arcanists…

”Yes. Galatea and Irene… Their names already showed traces of a great fate prepared for them… Send them. Let them walk the path of destiny.”

Clare and Teresaʼs eyes lit up after hearing this.

They were excited that their younger sisters had a great path ahead of them. If the Fortune Goddess herself was saying this, there was no way that it would be wrong.

Though they do not know what kind of destiny they should fulfill, it must be something huge.

Soon, a wave of radiant light spread within the church, and it was filled with Holy Divinity from Farah… It was as if her words just now were confirmed by Fate itself.

Clara and Teresa lowered their heads even further…

They would prepare their sisters for the journey to the Marshall Academy.

Farahʼs avatar turned away, and her form dissolved slowly into radiant specks of light.

Then, her final words reached their ears like a blessing.

”The Academy will gather the continentʼs brightest stars. Ensure that your sisters shine among them.”

The church fell silent once more, but Clara and Teresa already knew what they must do.

Inside the grand hall of the Church of the Divine Sorcererʼs main cathedral, several people start to gather.

On this day, five of the Churchʼs most respected Sorcerers arrived, each accompanied by a twelve-year-old disciple. These children were not ordinary initiates; they were the brightest prospects of the Mystic Arts, chosen for their rare talents and potential.

The Sorcerers guided their students forward…

Each child stood nervously, aware that the Pontiff himself would soon appear to judge them.

Sorcerer Corvane brought Neris, a boy whose gift for petrification arts was overwhelming…

Then, Sorceress Halvara presented Selene, a girl with impressive talent in blood magic.

Sorcerer Maltren introduced Ryan, a quiet prodigy with talent in mysterious movement arts.

Ysolde and Tristan also guided their children, Cassian and Ariel, with both talents in healing sorcery and destructive arts…

The children stood in a line…

They knew the rumors as well. The Pontiff had received a prophecy from the Divine Sorcerer.

The Marshall Academy would soon gather the most gifted Arcanists from across the continent, and those chosen would shape the fate of the realm or something similar to that…

The Sorcerers whispered among themselves, as they also felt nervous…

To have their disciples selected would mean recognition not only for the children but for their teachings as well.

Creak~

Then, the heavy doors of the hall opened.

The Pontiff entered, and his presence commanded immediate silence. His robes were embroidered with living runes that shifted and glowed faintly, and in his hand he carried a staff crowned with a crystal that pulsed with Divinity…

The Sorcerers and their students bowed deeply.

”You have brought your finest. I see the threads of destiny wrapped around each of them. The Divine Sorcerer has spoken… This yearʼs recruitment at the Marshall Academy will be unlike any before. The continentʼs most talented young Arcanists will gather there. It will become the vessel of destiny, where the future of our realm shall be forged.”

The children trembled, but they were all determined to be selected.

The Pontiff raised his staff, and the crystal flared with light.

”From among you, at least two shall be chosen. Their paths will link with others of great promise. Together, they will change the course of history. This is not mere chance… It is prophecy.”

The Sorcerers exchanged glances, with tension etched on their faces.

The Pontiff took a deep breath as he already heard that the Church of the Fortune Goddess would also send their elites…

Now, the Divine Sorcererʼs church needed to send its brightest.

The Pontiffʼs gaze swept across the five children, lingering on each one…

Soon, the Pontiff lifted his staff, and with a single wave of his hand, five spheres of light detached from the crystal at its tip.

Each orb drifted toward one of the children, hovering just above their heads before descending slowly.

”Stay calm…” he said.

The moment the light touched them, the pressure in the hall intensified.

The childrenʼs knees trembled as the weight of mystic law pressed down upon them.

Neris gritted his teeth, but the strain overwhelmed him. He collapsed to one knee and the light faded from above him.

Ryan staggered. He also gasped, then fell back, unable to withstand the pressure.

Ariel also failed to endure it… She too faltered.

Only two remained standing.

Cassianʼs dual affinity for healing and destructive sorcery seemed to have stabilized under the immense pressure. However, since Ariel should also have the same talent, it seemed that there was more to it.

Selene also steadied her breath as her blood affinity seemed to have been stirred by that orb of light. The sphere seemed to drink from her vitality, but she endured!

Soon, the hall fell silent as the other three collapsed.

Cassian and Selene stood alone with their orbs shining brilliantly above them.

The Pontiff lowered his staff, and the pressure dissipated.

”Cassian. Selene. You have endured the trial. You will represent the Church of the Divine Sorcerer at the Marshall Academy. Walk the path of destiny with resolve.”

Their teachers exhaled in relief, pride swelling in their hearts. Ysolde placed a hand on Cassianʼs shoulder.

Halvaraʼs lips curved faintly as she looked at Selene, her eyes were filled with satisfaction.

The Pontiff turned to the Sorcerers. ”You have brought forth exceptional talents. For this, you shall be rewarded. The Divine Sorcerer values those who nurture brilliance.”

He gestured, and attendants entered the hall carrying treasure chests. Each Sorcerer received one, filled with rare reagents, mystic tomes, and tokens of recognition.

”Corvane, Maltren, Tristan…” the Pontiff continued, ”though your disciples did not endure the trial, their promise is undeniable. They, too, shall be rewarded. Their efforts will not be forgotten, nor will your guidance.”

The Sorcerers bowed deeply as they all felt grateful…

As soon as the ceremony ended, the Pontiff was finally left alone in his chambers…

Inside, a figure was waiting for him and he immediately bowed at her presence.

”I have completed your orders, Lady Sabrina…”
