Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1129: Recognized

”So youʼve noticed…” Faith replied as she considered how to explain it.

”Itʼs for my own sake. Donʼt worry about it.”

Vale studied her for a moment, but he didnʼt pry further. He knew Faith well enough to recognize when she had drawn a line. The seals on her body were not just barriers to protect herself, they were choices to make herself stronger.

Then, Faith shifted the topic.

”Vale… aside from making those Chaos Immortals bow down to you, what is your plan?”

Vale didnʼt expect the sudden question as his gaze drifted toward the ceiling of the hall.

”I only want a peaceful life. But peace wonʼt come easily. The Void Immortals are already moving, the Timeless King is watching, and the higher realm hides threats we donʼt even understand. If I stay still, Iʼll be crushed. I have to get stronger.”

Faithʼs eyes moved slightly and nodded. ”Stronger in this lower realm? That will be difficult. This world lacks divinity. Youʼll hit a ceiling sooner than you think.”

Vale smiled faintly. Well, his confidence was unshaken for a reason. ”The Immortal Tower isnʼt just a fortress I brought here to protect me. With its help, I can push past the limits of this realm. Iʼll find a way.”

Faith believed him, she had seen enough of the Towerʼs mysteries to know it wasnʼt ordinary. Still, she pressed further. ”Then make more Avatars. One of them should focus earnestly on the Marshall Academy. Make it the best in the world.”

Vale raised an eyebrow. ”The Academy?”

Faith nodded firmly. ”Mayaʼs Philosopherʼs Elixir changed everything. Every child now has talent in Arcane Studies. Although the Elixirʼs production is slow right now, it will speed up soon… The world has already shifted. But advancement in Arcane Technology is too slow. Too many rely only on spells or artifacts for convenience. Even trains arenʼt improving anymore. Cooking food is being replaced by magic. If this continues, progress will stagnate.”

Vale listened intently, as he didnʼt really think too much of it before.

Seeing Valeʼs pause, she continued. ”Guide the future, Vale. Show the young Arcanists a path beyond dependency. If you donʼt, theyʼll grow powerful but shallow. Theyʼll lack vision.”

Vale was stunned.

Indeed, he had been too focused on Immortal-rank enemies, on his high-level Fusion Spells, Celestial Arts, and the possibility of advancing to Sky Immortal. He hadnʼt considered the mundane future of the world itself.

”Iʼll look into it,” he said slowly. ”Even if I canʼt handle it, Iʼll have someone else do it.”

Faith smirked, teasing him again. ”Thatʼs good… but itʼs better if you do it yourself. Go and teach in the Academy you built. Donʼt be lazy.”

Vale chuckled, shaking his head. ”You never change, Manager Faith.”

But in the end, he agreed.

Silence settled between them, but Valeʼs mind was restless.

Faith had reminded him of something far simpler, and perhaps far more important.

The future wasnʼt only about Immortals. It was about the children who would inherit the world.

Vale rose from his seat, walking toward the balcony of the Immortal Tower.

Outside, the night sky stretched endlessly… It was a beautiful sight…

”Alright, aside from making the best Immortal Tower. Iʼll also make the best Arcane Academy…” Vale said as he started envisioning the future of this continent… or this lower realm that would be known as the Great Arcanist Realm.

Faith smiled after noticing Valeʼs determination...

In the first place, the reason she stuck to Vale was the Arcane Academy he had built after all. Realizing that Valeʼs interest was turned to the Academy once more, she finally felt relaxed.

After all, having one disciple was simply not enough.

Even if Vale doesnʼt accept another disciple to inherit his Spells, he must spread his knowledge a bit more to ensure that the Shadow Domainʼs future remains optimistic.

Faithʼs only concern now was the existence of the Immortals from another realm that Vale had brought back with him…

She was still unsure about their mission or purpose for entering their lower realm, but she didnʼt dare to investigate for now.

A few days later, Magnus had finished sorting everything on his side within the Shadow Castle. The cities under his watch were stabilizing, and the chaos of the recent battles was finally easing.

On the following morning, Magnus made his way to the Immortal Tower. The Shadow Soldiers at the gate recognized him immediately and opened the path without question.

Within moments he was escorted through the vast halls until he reached the audience chamber.

Vale was already waiting. He rose from his seat as Magnus entered, greeting him with a smile.

”Magnus. Youʼve come early. How is the situation within the territory?”

Magnus bowed slightly before speaking. ”The five cities are recovering well. Trade routes are reopening, and the people are regaining confidence. However, the production of airships has slowed. We lost too many engineers during the siege, and replacements are scarce. Still, it isnʼt a crisis yet, we still have a few experts keeping the lines active.”

Vale nodded thoughtfully. ”Thatʼs acceptable. As long as the foundations remain, we can rebuild.”

Magnus hesitated for a moment, then stepped forward and produced a small ring. He placed it on the table between them. Its surface had a faint spatial energy../

Vale recognized the item.”A spatial ring? What does it contain?”

Magnus grinned and looked at Vale excitedly…

”Corpses. Chaos Immortals, rogue Arcanists, Chaos Beasts, evil entities… and others. Iʼve been saving them, even back when you were still in the Shadow Realm. I knew you would need them.”

Vale was excited as they reached out…

”Magnus… youʼve done well,” Vale said quietly. ”This is exactly what I needed.”

Magnus smiled... ”We thought as much. Youʼve always had use for corpses. Constance, Lisa, and the others contributed to those corpses as well while youʼre away.”

Vale was obviously happy with this news.

ʼFinally… I can use the Divine Extractions System again.ʼ

His system was the hidden foundation of his rise, and extracting more was always good!

Each corpse would give him a reservoir of essence, energy, fragments of power, and other things waiting to be drawn out.

He slipped the ring onto his finger and used his Divine Sense to confirm the number of corpses inside!

There were a lot of them!

Realizing that Vale was already inspecting the ʼgoodsʼ, Magnus bowed once more before taking his leave.

Left alone, Vale sat in silence as he confirmed the identities of the corpses.

Then, he was shocked as he recognized one of them!
