Alchemy Master

Chapter 1064, Negotiating Conditions

“This… this thing, do you have more!?” Under countless astonished gazes, the originally furious Fiery actually asked somewhat timidly. That manner was like a child afraid of losing candy.

“I do, but not much…” Qin Yichen spoke with a light smile, as if he had anticipated this all along.

Hearing these words, a trace of disappointment flashed through Fiery’s eyes. As expected, fine wine was serendipitous and not easily obtainable. However, Qin Yichen’s next statement caused Fiery’s expression to become excited once more.

“However, allowing you to drink to your heart’s content for three to five years shouldn’t be a problem.” Qin Yichen spoke with a faint smile.

“Haha… excellent! Very good!” Hearing this, Fiery laughed heartily without any regard for image, his face brimming with satisfaction.

Within the Elf Race, Fiery’s reputation for alcoholism was known practically by everyone. Earlier, his restless demeanour stemmed from his craving for alcohol acting up.

Originally, a High Rank Elf of Fiery’s status would not participate in any Merchandise Fair at all.

After all, given their age, their standards had reached an unimaginably high level. The things ordinary merchants brought out could no longer attract their attention.

Reality was indeed thus. Among the dazzling array of rare commodities, Fiery truly had not taken a liking to a single item.

However, he participated almost every year, and the outcome was invariably unchanged.

This matter had also made Fiery the butt of jokes among other High Rank Elves of similar status.

Alcoholic High Rank Elves were far from limited to Fiery alone. However, no one was as idle as him, running here to try their luck.

“Haha, those old fellows. This old man will wait for them all to come and beg me now!” Fiery’s face was full of smiles, as if he had already envisioned those old shits’ envious and jealous expressions when he brought back these supreme wines.

“En, I’ll make them beg me, then I’ll bestow upon them one gourd. No, no, one cup. Yes, for such fine wine, one cup is enough!” Compared to the wine they usually drank, what he had just consumed was practically celestial nectar and jade dew. Savouring it carefully, he even could not help but doubt in his heart whether what he had drunk before even deserved to be called wine.

Qin Yichen watched Fiery with a faint smile, not speaking to interrupt.

After quite a while, Fiery finally suppressed the excited emotions in his heart. Suddenly, a thought struck him. Such supreme wine must certainly be extremely valuable. Even he had never tasted such fine wine before. What price would it command?

“I’m willing to use a Pill that can extend one’s lifespan by a hundred years to exchange for one gourd… Little Brother, what do you think?” Fiery gritted his teeth and spoke with considerable pain.

Hearing these words, intense disbelief burst forth in the eyes of the surrounding Elves and merchants.

Generally speaking, in every Merchandise Fair, the Elf Race would tend to only bring out items that nourished the Soul to trade with the merchants.

How many merchants exhausted tremendous efforts merely hoping to exchange from High Rank Elves’ hands for a bit of life-extending Pills? Yet ultimately, what could be obtained over dozens of years could be counted on one’s fingers.

Yet this fellow, considered presumptuous, had casually brought out a gourd of something and gained High Rank Elf Fiery’s approval!

Moreover, looking at his manner, he seemed worried the latter would not agree.

To the side, Mei Ler also showed some astonishment. She too knew of the Elf Race’s alcoholism. However, even when she had exhausted tremendous efforts to obtain fine wine, it had not attracted the Elf Race’s attention. In fact, back then, Fiery had spat it out on the spot after lightly sipping.

The awkwardness of that situation need not be mentioned.

Due to that humiliation, Mei Ler had made further preparations, grasping the High Rank female Elves’ love of beauty, and only then turning danger into safety.

“Fire Deacon, do you truly believe this single gourd is worth only that much?” However, under countless envious gazes, Qin Yichen not only did not gratefully agree, but instead spoke with a trace of displeasure.

Hearing these words, almost everyone was shocked.

A Pill extending life by a hundred years, how precious was that!?

Who knew how many great experts, in order to delay their final moments, expended tremendous costs to come to the Elf Race and exchange for some life-extending Pills? Yet this fellow before them had merely brought out a gourd of who-knows-what, and Fiery offered a hundred-year life-extending Pill in exchange, yet he was still unsatisfied!

“Fire Deacon, this item isn’t merely delicious. It also has tremendous benefits for cultivation. I believe Fire Deacon has also sensed this, correct?” Qin Yichen shook his head and asked.

Hearing this, Fiery’s expression became somewhat grave as he nodded.

Such Divine Immortal’s Intoxication… not only was it a delicacy he had never tasted before, but after just gulping down that single mouthful, he felt every cell in his body emit comfortable moans.

To make even an expert of his level’s body react. One could see how precious this wine was.

Indeed, strictly speaking, a hundred-year life-extending Pill’s value truly was not comparable to this kind of supreme wine.

Moreover, such life-extending Pills, only the first one had the best effect. The second would be greatly reduced, and if one continued consuming them, the effect would become negligible.

“Little Brother, might we speak privately?”

Fiery held the gourd containing Divine Immortal’s Intoxication in his hand, showing absolutely no intention of releasing it. Blinking his eyes, he asked with an inquiring expression.

“Fire Deacon is too courteous. Please.” Qin Yichen said with a light smile. His purpose in coming this time was not to exchange for any life-extending Pills. In his eyes, such things could not even compare to the Elf Race’s tea.

This time, his aim was to approach the Elf Race’s upper echelons. This matter suited his intentions perfectly.

Subsequently, under countless envious gazes, Fiery, using an attitude of friendliness he had never shown to foreign merchants before, led Qin Yichen away from this place.

[Could he truly know their Princess?] Watching Qin Yichen’s composed back, Mei Ler couldn’t help but become somewhat doubtful. From beginning to end, that fellow seemed to have never looked at her properly!

[*Hmph!* Sooner or later I’ll make you apologize for this disrespect!] Thinking this, a peculiar emotion arose in Mei Ler’s heart. She bit her vermillion lips and murmured quietly to herself.

She was not some unreasonable person. However, Qin Yichen’s manner of ignoring her truly made her, who enjoyed endless admiring gazes, feel very uncomfortable.

A moment later, the Merchandise Fair continued. However, because of this small interlude, the subsequent Merchandise Fair seemed to have lost its luster.

As for this Merchandise Fair’s final result, perhaps no one cared anymore.

Although Qin Yichen had already departed, regardless of who was ultimately judged as this session’s Merchandise Fair champion, what he had brought out would be remembered by everyone.
