Chapter 833, Soaring Joy Auction

Translator: Silavin

Soaring Joy Auction House.

An auction was held only once every fortnight, and each time, rare treasures from the various Imperial Dynasties would appear. Among them, there were quite a few finale items that could shock the Imperial Dynasties.

At this moment, the spacious hall, which could accommodate a hundred thousand people, was already packed to bursting, with not a single empty seat to be found!

As people gradually entered, a crisp bell chime gradually echoed through the auction house. Upon the stone platform floating in mid-air, a figure appeared.

This suddenly appearing figure immediately became the focal point of the entire auction house. Those present clearly knew his identity… the chief auctioneer of the Soaring Joy Auction House: Feng Qinglei!

Feng Qinglei was already over forty years old. He had once been the chief auctioneer of the Feng Family, hosting hundreds of sensational auctions at the Feng Family’s auction house.

However, after Soaring Joy Auction House was established, he came here. This made everyone aware of just how close the relationship between Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce and the Feng Family truly was!

Upon seeing Feng Qinglei’s figure, numerous gazes became somewhat reverent, and the various noisy clamours gradually died down.

Everyone knew that he didn’t appear at just any auction. Only when absolutely rare treasures were being auctioned would he take action!

“That all of you could come to Soaring Joy Auction House is our honour. Of course, I won’t say much about the rules here. Fighting is prohibited in the auction house. Regardless of which faction you come from, once you violate this, you will be expelled. If you offend again, you will be banned from participating in any auctions held by Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce and the Feng Family!”

Feng Qinglei’s hands were clasped behind his back, his gaze sweeping indifferently across the entire venue, his powerful voice resounding thunderously in everyone’s ears.

“The items being auctioned this time aren’t too numerous, but each one has passed through our strict selection process and can be considered really rare. I believe many people will be interested.”

Feng Qinglei smiled confidently and faintly, then swept his arm out, his voice erupting like thunder. “This auction now begins!”

With Feng Qinglei’s announcement, one rare auction item after another rapidly began to be shown. Below, countless people enthusiastically competed with their bids, and for a time, the atmosphere in the auction house was pushed to its climax.

After approximately ten-odd auction items had been sold, Feng Qinglei suddenly paused slightly, his gaze imperceptibly glancing at the room at the very top, nodding slightly.

Immediately after, he waved his palm slightly, and from the side of the high platform, a beam of light shot over, landing steadily on the auction platform before him.

*Swoosh!*

Almost simultaneously, every gaze in the venue converged, looking towards the ball of light on the auction platform.

Around that ball of light, a circle of faint red halos swirled. Vaguely, a wave that made countless hearts palpitate rippled outward.

Within that brilliant radiance, they sensed powerful fluctuations. That object, just by looking at its exterior, was clearly extraordinary.

Under this fluctuation, the entire auction house became momentarily silent. Immediately after, everyone’s eyes became fervent. They all knew that something capable of possessing such terrifying fluctuations could not be an ordinary object!

The pale red ball of light floated above the auction platform, those powerful fluctuations caused countless eyes to fill with red-hot greed.

If it weren’t for the numerous guards with formidable auras surrounding the auction house, letting people know this was the auction house of the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce, many would likely have already had their rationality destroyed by greed and attempted to seize this treasure by force!

This sort of thing was not rare. After all, as long as one’s fists were hard enough, no one would stop them from doing whatever they wanted.

However, within Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce, such robberies rarely occurred. Ever since a Martial Emperor had attempted to forcibly seize an item and was killed on the spot, no one dared to act presumptuously within Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce’s establishments anymore.

On the auction platform, Feng Qinglei’s expression remained calm as he gazed at the restless group below. After a moment, he clenched his palm, and only then did that fiery red ball of light dissipate.

In his hand, a red long whip appeared. As his Yuan Energy surged, the long whip suddenly lashed out several times. Then, these lashes whistled through the air like a red python. Next, a hard, massive piece of bluestone on the auction platform split apart with a tearing sound. The fractured surface looked as though molten lava had flowed over it, the boulder slowly melting.

“This auction item is a Spirit Weapon called the Fire Phoenix Whip. Even among Spirit Weapons, this whip is top tier. Even a Martial Emperor’s physical body wouldn’t dare take a hit! Moreover, for those with Fire Attribute Yuan Energy, it has a tremendous effect in amplifying your power!”

“Fire Phoenix Whip, starting price: fifty Low Grade Spirit Seeds!” Feng Qinglei put away the long whip, his gaze sweeping around as he spoke.

“Fifty Low Grade Spirit Seeds!”

Upon hearing this price, quite a few people gasped. To actually use Spirit Seeds directly as auction currency. One must know that a single Low Grade Spirit Seed was equivalent to one million gold coins.

Fifty pieces was fifty million gold coins! This astronomical figure directly eliminated a large portion of people. Only First Tier Forces within the Imperial Dynasty could participate in this kind of bidding!

“Fifty-five Low Grade Spirit Seeds!”

The Fire Phoenix Whip indeed surpassed many Spirit Weapons, and it also had amplification effects for Martial Artists with Fire Attribute Yuan Energy. If a Fire Attribute Martial Artist possessed it, they would undoubtedly gain a considerable advantage when clashing with others.

Immediately, as soon as Feng Qinglei’s voice fell, someone voiced their bid.

“Fifty-eight Low Grade Spirit Seeds…”

“Sixty!”

Very quickly, one voice after another rose and fell throughout the auction house. Amid these voices, Feng Qinglei maintained a smiling face throughout, not interrupting them.

Soon, the price rose to eighty Low Grade Spirit Seeds. At this point, those still able to bid were already very few.

“Two hundred!”

Suddenly, an arrogant voice burst forth from the room at the very top.

When they heard this voice, countless people’s mouths twitched. They were far too familiar with this voice… After all, it was Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce’s Ye Liangchen!

Even if it was Ye Liangchen, if he wanted to purchase something at the auction house, he had to pay out of his own pocket.

Also, only he dared to directly throw out such a terrifying figure!

Two hundred Low Grade Spirit Seeds. This was equivalent to two hundred million gold coins! Even the several top Families of the Imperial Dynasty could only look on with longing.

Moreover, behind Ye Liangchen stood the entire Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce. Who would be blind enough to compete with him on price!?

“Five hundred!”

Just as countless people were sighing, suddenly, a faint voice quietly rose from within the silent crowd.
