Chapter 812, Yi Buyan’s True Strength

Translator: Silavin

*Screech!* A sharp, ancient eagle’s cry suddenly reverberated throughout the Battle Hall. The piercing sound waves transformed into something tangible, sweeping outward and carving visible traces across the ground.

As the Golden Firestorm Eagle beat its wings, overwhelming crimson flames surged forth, rampaging across Heaven and Earth! A terrifying pressure descended. Under this oppressive force, even the numerous experts outside the duelling platform wore expressions of extreme gravity.

“Yi Buyan’s control over his Martial Soul has actually reached such a degree!”

*Swoosh!* At that moment, Yi Buyan’s form also flashed atop the Golden Firestorm Eagle’s skull. Sensing the incomparably formidable power within him, a savage grin spread across his face.

Those eyes, in this instant, seemed to transform into a sharp eagle’s vision, filled with cold murderous intent as they fixed upon the bare-chested Qin Yichen in the distance.

Yi Buyan gazed at Qin Yichen with detached indifference. The next moment, his hands slowly spread wide. Subsequently, the Golden Firestorm Eagle’s massive beak opened, and a colossal crimson golden fire beam suddenly blasted forth.

*Boom!*

That fire beam was hot beyond imagination. Wherever it passed, the partially cooled magma surged upward once more, radiating scorching heat.

Watching Yi Buyan riding the Golden Firestorm Eagle, charging across the sea of flames like a war deity amidst fire, shock registered across every face outside the duelling platform.

This type of attack already vaguely exceeded the Peak Stage Martial Emperor Realm. It was comparable to an attack from a Half-Step Martial Ancestor!

Facing this calibre of attack, Qin Yichen’s expression grew solemn. He drove the Taotie Martial Soul to its absolute limit, frantically devouring the violently surging Scorched Earth Flame.

*Whoosh!*

However, just as the Taotie Martial Soul devoured with mad intensity, that crimson golden fire beam had already arrived. Even with the Taotie Martial Soul pushed to extremes, this fire beam was merely absorbed by a small fraction. The remaining fire beam  swept across the Taotie Martial Soul like an enormous staff.

*Boom!*

Qin Yichen’s body trembled. Together with the Taotie Martial Soul, he was blasted backward. In this moment, blood and Yuan Energy churned violently within Qin Yichen’s body. Were it not for his robust Physique, that single impact alone would have been enough to shake him to death!

“Hehe, brat, I thought you possessed so many trump cards. Now it seems you amount to nothing more than this…” Having secured a successful strike, Yi Buyan laughed mockingly. The instant his laughter concluded, the Golden Firestorm Eagle opened its beak once more. Another crimson golden fire beam blasted forth.

*Pfft…* Under this assault, Qin Yichen’s form shot backward even more pathetically. He spat forth fresh blood. Above him, the Taotie Martial Soul dimmed.

“Where is that arrogant attitude you displayed just moments ago? In your current state, you hardly match your earlier tone!” The moment Qin Yichen stabilised his form, Yi Buyan immediately blasted him backward again. Simultaneously, his chilling words reverberated throughout the space.

In this battle without retreat or surrender, any so-called three-strike agreement had long since become voided. Either one party surrendered, or one party must die. Only then would this conclude!

Yi Buyan’s relentless offensive clearly intended to grant Qin Yichen not the slightest opportunity to surrender. Should the latter lose focus even momentarily, he would absolutely be pulverised to ash beneath this tempest-like assault!

Heavenly Martial Artists, if one could forge such an individual into an ally, that would absolutely be anyone’s most cherished dream! However, if one became an enemy instead, permitting such growth would only transform them into a never-ending nightmare!

Therefore, at this moment Yi Buyan could no longer consider anything else. This poisonous threat could not be allowed to remain! Even if it meant offending Dong Yu, even risking the Sacred Land’s displeasure, he would spare no cost to kill him!

*Bang!* Qin Yichen’s body once again crashed heavily into the ground. Moments later, he shakily stood, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. His gaze remained ice-cold as it locked upon the Golden Firestorm Eagle radiating formidable aura in mid-air. Despite his current wretched state, his entire body was covered in wounds, not half a trace of fear showed within his eyes.

“Qin Yichen, forget it! Just quickly surrender!”

Watching Qin Yichen, utterly battered yet displaying not the slightest hint of retreat, several new Disciples could not help but cry out hoarsely.

The Senior Disciples surrounding the duelling platform, though they remained silent, nevertheless revealed traces of admiration within their eyes. Regardless of the outcome, Qin Yichen’s fortitude and persistent conviction deserved their respect!

At this moment, Qin Yichen’s body stood amidst fragments resembling magma. His hands trembled slightly as he wiped blood from the corner of his mouth. Within his pitch-black eyes, savage determination gradually spread forth.

“You forced me to do this!” Savage intensity surged across Qin Yichen’s face. Even at the cost of exposing his True Dragon Martial Soul, today he would slay Yi Buyan at this very spot!

*Huff…* Just as Qin Yichen prepared to stake everything on one final gambit, his body suddenly froze rigid.

Perhaps due to extreme discomfort, upon his shoulder, that small grey gecko rolled over, stretching its body as though yawning lazily.

“It seems you have given up.” In mid-air, observing the pathetically wretched Qin Yichen below, who at this moment had actually become distracted, appearing as though he had abandoned all resistance, Yi Buyan’s lips curved into a savage grin. His chilling voice also reverberated forth. “Realising regret only at this moment! It is far too late!”

The moment his words concluded, Yi Buyan’s expression instantly transformed into something utterly savage. Subsequently, with a thunderous roar, brilliant radiance erupted from the Golden Firestorm Eagle Martial Soul. Overwhelming flames surged forth as they enveloped Qin Yichen.

Within mere breaths, they had completely wrapped around Qin Yichen’s figure.

Amidst this crimson flame’s pervasive spread, a point of pure golden brilliance gradually condensed within the Golden Firestorm Eagle’s mouth. In this instant, temperature throughout the entire Battle Hall suddenly spiked.

Beyond the duelling platform, countless Disciples could not help but lower their gazes. Those several new Disciples’ expressions became rather pale.

“Stop!” At this moment, Dong Yu had already rushed to the duelling platform’s edge, his expression extraordinarily agitated as he shouted loudly.

“Die!” Yet Yi Buyan, positioned upon the duelling platform, though hearing Dong Yu’s cry, not only failed to stop but instead laughed savagely. The golden brilliance within the Golden Firestorm Eagle’s mouth grew increasingly intense. Even space itself became extraordinarily distorted, scorched by this power.

Finally, the crimson golden fire beam tore through space, resembling a golden meteor as it shot toward Qin Yichen’s location with lightning speed.

This crimson golden fire beam proved considerably more powerful than those previous attacks that had battered Qin Yichen into disarray. Indeed, many suspected this assault already possessed sufficient potency to threaten Half-Step Martial Ancestors!

“It’s over!” Witnessing this scene, Dong Yu’s legs weakened. His form stumbled. His expression turned desolate, as though in this single instant, he had aged considerably.
