Alchemy Master

Chapter 383, Three Sects and One Manor

Qin Yichen was awakened by her calling him ‘benefactor’.

This made him realise that the woman before him was not his current Master.

He contained his excited emotions and observed the beautiful young female Master before him, discovering that his ‘old’ Master was truly a great beauty in her youth.

Her hair was disheveled, her long eyelashes trembled, her eyes seemed misty with tears, her red lips and jade-like teeth gleamed with crystalline lustre. Her neck was delicate, her skin like ice and bones like jade. Her exquisite features, peerless countenance, and the shadowy curves of her figure, especially her chest which seemed to hide something within, were particularly eye-catching and impressive.

After just one glance, Qin Yichen averted his gaze, his Adam’s apple bobbing slightly.

This was because Zhao Yarou’s clothes had been torn by weapons, revealing what lay beneath.

“I’ll… I’ll go check if they’re still pursuing us.”

Qin Yichen felt his mouth go dry as he made an excuse to leave, placing a set of his own clothes nearby as he went.

Zhao Yarou initially did not understand his intention, but as a mountain breeze blew in, the cool sensation made her notice the state of her attire.

Immediately, her beautiful face turned bright red.

After confirming Qin Yichen had left, she slowly got up, took the set of men’s clothing, hesitated briefly, then changed into them.

[How considerate.] Zhao Yarou could not understand why this strange man would treat her so well.

After leaving the cave, Qin Yichen’s Spiritual Energy swept outward, taking in the situation within ten kilometres. Perhaps because he had handled the traces so perfectly, there was no unusual activity in the vicinity.

“Fortunately they haven’t pursued us here, but we shouldn’t linger. If we get surrounded again, it would be troublesome.” After surveying the surroundings once more, Qin Yichen muttered to himself.

If it were just him alone it would not matter, but his Master from his previous life was now merely a Spirit Realm Alchemy Master. In a battle between Martial Kings, just a bit of carelessness could kill her.

After about a quarter hour, having confirmed the surrounding environment was safe, Qin Yichen hunted and killed a Demonic Beast in the forest, cut off several pieces of meat, then returned to the cave.

By now, Zhao Yarou had changed clothes. Though the men’s clothing was quite loose on her, there was a unique charm when she wore it.

Seeing Qin Yichen enter, Zhao Yarou seemed to recall her earlier state, and a blush crept onto her cheeks.

Seeing Zhao Yarou’s shy appearance, Qin Yichen quickly averted his gaze, took out the meat, sat by the campfire to roast it, and casually asked, “Are you feeling better?”

“Yes, thank you benefactor.” Zhao Yarou tugged at her sleeves as she answered softly.

“My name is Qin Yichen.” Qin Yichen smiled and said, “If you don’t mind, you can just call me by my name.”

“Mister Qin…” Zhao Yarou nodded slightly and called out softly.

As they spoke, Qin Yichen had skilfully roasted several pieces of meat, and he casually handed a piece to Zhao Yarou.

Compared to Qin Yichen’s wolfish devouring, Zhao Yarou’s manners for eating were infinitely more elegant. Her careful chewing and graceful demeanour, which made Qin Yichen feel like a savage in comparison.

“Are you an Alchemy Master?” Zhao Yarou’s gaze swept over Qin Yichen as she seemed to recall the Pill she had taken, and curiously asked.

“Hmmm… I suppose so.” Qin Yichen tore off another piece of roasted meat and stuffed it in his mouth, answering somewhat unclearly.

To be precise, he was already a Human Grade Alchemy Master!

“Thank you for saving my life. If you’re willing, I can recommend you to Ten Corner Alchemy Manor when we return.” Zhao Yarou bit her red lips, a trace of reluctance flashing in her eyes, but she still resolutely said this.

“Ten Corner Alchemy Manor?” Qin Yichen was slightly startled, then shook his head.

Seeing Qin Yichen reject her goodwill, Zhao Yarou’s eyes clearly flashed with disbelief. [I’m introducing him to the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor, and he actually refused? Does he not know what kind of place Ten Corner Alchemy Manor is? How many excellent Alchemy Masters from various Grand Empires had tried to curry favours with me for a chance at a recommendation?]

“With your Zhao Family’s strength, you probably only get one recommendation spot every ten years, right?” Qin Yichen smiled and asked.

Hearing Qin Yichen’s words, Zhao Yarou nodded noncommittally.

Qin Yichen chuckled and continued, “And this spot, the Zhao Family has already decided to give to you, which is what led to this assassination attempt, right?”

“How did you know?” Zhao Yarou exclaimed, wariness flashing in her eyes, but then remembering he had saved her. Thus, that trace of suspicion faded away.

[Like I had suspected…] Qin Yichen thought to himself.

This was the assassination attempt that Zhao Yarou had told him about in his previous life.

The Zhao Family that Zhao Yarou belonged to was in a region dominated by Sects. For this region, there were dozens or even hundreds of Grand Empires like the Great Prosperity Grand Empire.

The rulers of this region were the Three Sects and One Manor.

Eastern Overcast Sect, Western Halberd Sect, Northern Depths Sect, and the Manor that Zhao Yarou mentioned – Ten Corner Alchemy Manor!

It was said that in those three top Sects, there were experts who had surpassed the Martial King Realm. In terms of might, each one of them could easily destroy a Grand Empire.

As for Ten Corner Alchemy Manor, its position was somewhat transcendent.

Although their overall strength was somewhat inferior to the three top Sects, they were the training ground for many excellent Alchemy Masters in this region, just like Alchemy Central in the Great Prosperity Grand Empire. Though not the strongest in power, their influence was undoubtedly beyond question.

Compared to the three Sects, Ten Corner Alchemy Manor was more revered, because throughout endless years, the three top Sects had been replaced many times, but only Ten Corner Alchemy Manor remained constant.

This showed Ten Corner Alchemy Manor’s status in this region.

Zhao Yarou’s Family was only a Second Tier Force in this region. If not for having produced someone who entered the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor before, they would not even have one recommendation spot.

However, this one recommendation spot made many powers similar to the Zhao Family envious and wary. Moreover, the Alchemy Talent Zhao Yarou displayed made some of the Zhao Family’s sworn enemies extremely fearful, which led to the assassination attempt.

As those who tried to assassinate Zhao Yarou were the Zhao Family’s number one sworn enemy… the Xiang Family!

The Xiang Family was firmly among the First Tier Force in this region. Perhaps they had also seen Zhao Yarou’s potential and feared having another powerful rival in the future, which led to their actions.

When Zhao Yarou offered to give him the single spot that only came once every ten years, Qin Yichen naturally would not agree. Moreover, his purpose in coming to this region was not to enter the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor.
