Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1: Zhang Fei

On a monitor, a futuristic and luxurious office room can be seen, and a man with long black hair is sitting casually behind his desk. The man himself was very handsome, with a tall and manly posture; he looked so handsome and dignified in the traditional black hanfu.

Beside him was a woman with long white hair; her face was as beautiful as a goddess. She has a tall and slender body combined with perfect hourglass curves coupled with plump and supple breasts around D-Cup, and she looks so elegant in a traditional blue and white dress.

The woman has beautiful wide blue eyes with thick eyebrows; she also has an attractive nose and charming thin lips covered in red lipstick.

But then the image on the monitor stopped moving, and a man laughed, saying: ”As you guys can see, the man is me, Zhang Fei. And the woman whose beauty is as beautiful as a goddess is one of my wives. ”Perhaps you guys think that my life is always as comfortable and happy as it is now, but in the past, my life was not as comfortable or as happy as you see on the monitor.”

Zhang Fei then paused for a moment; a few moments later, he continued. ”In the past, I was just a pitiful man... But not so pitiful either... I actually come from a very rich and respected family, and I have also lived a happy life since childhood.”

”But one day, everything changed drastically.” Zhang Fei sighed heavily. ”My family disowned and abandoned me; even my parents removed my name from the family tree; they thought that I had tarnished and disgraced the family name.”

”Do you guys want to know the reason why they treat me like that?” Zhang Fei then laughed bitterly, and he continued. ”The reason is simple, my big brother is always jealous and envious of me, because our parents used to love and pamper me so much.

But what I didnʼt expect was that my ex-girlfriend was having an affair with my big brother, and they conspired to frame me; they gave me and my big sister sleeping pills, and they staged everything so perfectly that our parents caught us sleeping naked hugging each other. Even though we kept denying it, our parents didnʼt believe us. In the end, I was the one who was sacrificed by our parents.”

Zhang Fei sighed heavily after saying that, but then he laughed. ”But you know what? One day my fate changed again, and on that day I died for a moment. If in novels many protagonists die because of truck-kun, get struck by lightning, or anything else. Then my death is ridiculous, I died because of a girl who fell from the sky, but she was also the one who changed my fate.

The girl, whose name I didnʼt know until now, resurrected me, and she also gave me an apology gift that ended up changing my life.”

”Well, I think thatʼs enough of my narrative.” Zhang Fei then clasped his hands. ”Curious about my story? Letʼs start the story from the beginning.”

...

A Village

”Iʼm going to work first, Grandma!” A young man with short black hair shouted from the front door of a small house. Although his face was quite handsome, the young man looked skinny.

And an old womanʼs voice came from inside the small house. ”You have to be careful on the road, Feiʼer.”

”Alright, Grandma!” The young man then took his bicycle, and he pedaled his bicycle quickly, leaving the small house.

My name is Zhang Fei, I am nineteen years old, and I currently live with my paternal grandma, Zhang Chen. Even though my father was very rich, my grandmother didnʼt like city life and preferred to live peacefully, so she decided to stay in the village.

As for me, since two years ago Iʼve been living with my grandmother, because Iʼm just a young man who was abandoned and disowned by his family. Iʼm honestly disappointed with their choice, but I canʼt do anything to change their minds, and all I can do now is to live my own life to the best of my ability.

Every morning, I have to ride my bicycle to go to work in the city, which is about 5 km away, and I work as a laborer in a canned food factory. Actually, I quite enjoy my job, because the salary they give is quite high; it is far more than enough for my daily needs and also to buy novels and other things. Whatʼs more, I can still save every month.

While Zhang Fei was on his way, suddenly the sky darkened and lightning continued to strike, he then stopped for a moment and looked up at the sky. ”Hmm? Todayʼs weather is really weird, it looks like itʼs going to rain heavily.”

Suddenly Zhang Feiʼs eyes widened, because he saw a meteor-like object rushing towards him, he immediately pedaled his bicycle again. Unfortunately, he was too late, because the object directly slammed into him. He was squashed under the object, and his body looked badly injured; blood also continued to flow out of his seven orifices.

Just as his consciousness was fading, he heard a young girlʼs voice, and he faintly saw a young girl with two braids sitting on top of him, but he couldnʼt do anything, he couldnʼt even talk anymore.

”Ouch! I failed again!” The young girl screamed loudly, as she rubbed her head. Then she looked down, immediately jumped off Zhang Feiʼs body, and frantically spoke. ”Oh gosh! I accidentally killed someone! If dad finds out about this, he will definitely lock me in the tower again!”

ʼDang! What an unlucky day! Am I going to die now?ʼ Zhang Fei could only say in his heart, as his consciousness continued to fade.

Suddenly a portal appeared behind the young girl, and a white-haired little girl around 10 years old walked out of the portal, as she said shaking her head. ”Look at the mess youʼve caused, little girl.”

”Can you help him, Aunt?” The young girl asked frantically.

”Fortunately, he just died for a moment, and his soul is still intact.” The little girl said she crouched down beside Zhang Fei, then touched his chest and muttered quietly. ”Time Reversal!”

Instantly Zhang Feiʼs body was enveloped by a white light, and soon his body was back to normal, even his wounds had disappeared. The little girl let go of her hand, then stood up and said. ”Heʼs all right now, and heʼll be awake in no time, little girl. But we have to get back now, otherwise, your father will be mad at you.”

”Wait a minute, Aunt.” The young girl then crouched down, and she took out two objects, one like a medicine capsule, and the other an injection filled with metallic black liquid, then she said. ”As gifts of my apology to you, I will give you my latest creations, and I hope they will be able to help you in the future.”

”Are you really going to give them to him, little girl?” The little girl asked with a raised eyebrow. ”As you know, this world is still underdeveloped. Moreover, we donʼt know whether he is a good person or a bad person.”

”En, Iʼll give them to him, Aunt.” The young girl then opened Zhang Feiʼs mouth and put the medicine capsule-like object into his mouth, then she also injected the metallic black liquid into his body.

The little girl shook her head, then she waved her hand, and a portal opened again. They then walked into the portal, but the young girl turned to Zhang Fei for a moment, as she inwardly muttered. ʼI hope you are a good man and make good use of my gift, little boy.ʼ
