You call this a projection?

The ”Destroyer of Worlds,” Shirou Emiya, traveled through the parallel worlds of the Type-Moon universe—but what did he see in his eyes?

The answer was: he saw nothing...

Well, although Shirou Emiya, possessing both memories of his past life and the ”cheat” known as [Pseudo-Hermit Purple], could spoil the plot for Saber—telling her that this parallel world also contained a Holy Grail War, and that in this war, a Servant with deep ties to Saber (or rather, Saber’s daughter/son, Mordred, who always craved Saber’s recognition) had also been summoned under the same Saber class, intending to use the Grail to return to the past and pull the Sword of Selection in Saber’s place to gain her approval—could it be said that this was the truth of why they were sent here?

Shirou Emiya could only say: It wasn’t impossible, but if you called it ”possible,” it was also quite unlikely.

After all, compared to Sieg, who had the Counter Force helping him with ”hacks,” and Amakusa Shirou Tokisada, who had survived in a physical form as a Servant since the previous Holy Grail War and had been preparing for this new one, Mordred—who had participated in this Holy Grail War by chance—would find it very difficult to achieve victory over those two participants, even if she had encountered a Master with whom she had excellent compatibility.

Even if an accident occurred that differed from the original plot, it would still be difficult.

At the very least, in the memories of Shirou Emiya’s past life, it was hard to find a way for Mordred to win the Holy Grail War.

As for [Pseudo-Hermit Purple]...

The invincible [Pseudo-Hermit Purple] was indeed invincible when it came to intelligence gathering.

But by the same token, the precision of [Pseudo-Hermit Purple] was truly very low.

Shirou Emiya could barely psychically generate the specific reasons for why they had been transmitted to this location.

Trifas, Romania.

Unlike the Holy Grail War that took place in Fuyuki City, in the Third Holy Grail War of this parallel world—which happened to coincide with the Second World War—a certain mage,

after realizing that the winner of the Holy Grail War could indeed have their wishes granted, decided to ”flip the table.”

He utilized his status and power at the time to order the German military to intervene and seize the Greater Grail. He then intended to assemble a Holy Grail War where all the participants were his own people, to ensure he would be the winner.

However, it was obvious that this mage, who wanted to seize the Greater Grail, only knew that it was real and that the Holy Grail War was a magical ritual to assist in granting wishes. He did not know that the ”gameplay” he intended to use had already been attempted by the Three Families of Fuyuki during the First Holy Grail War.

The result... from the fact that the Three Families specifically chose Fuyuki City in Japan to host the Holy Grail War in order to conceal the Greater Grail, to the later development where the Three Families had to actively invite other mages to participate, one could tell: the Holy Grail War rejects such cheating methods.

The result was that the mage who had seized the Greater Grail and prepared everything to restart the Holy Grail War—having just selected seven of his own people from his mage family to participate and begin the war—was immediately ”reported” by the Holy Grail War itself.

The Holy Grail War increased the number of Master slots from the original seven to fourteen.

Furthermore, these seven new Master slots would be specifically assigned to the factions hostile to them for selection.

Kairi Shishigou was one such mage, hired by the Mage Association to participate in this Holy Grail War.

But now, Kairi Shishigou wished he could go back in time and beat himself to death for choosing to accept this commission...

”Which attack is this from the enemy?

No wonder those geezers at the Clock Tower, who are insane about reaching the [Root], aren’t touching this mess now that they know the Grail in this war is the real deal.

This real Holy Grail War is simply incomparable to those sub-species Grail Wars.”

Although Kairi Shishigou had not yet truly encountered an enemy Servant, or even an enemy Master, he had already suffered several rounds of attacks from the Yggdmillennia clan—the family of mages that had seized the Greater Grail during the Third Holy Grail War and re-hosted the Holy Grail War in Romania.

They continuously dispatched golems—clearly Servant constructs—and attacks from homunculi modeled after the Einzberns.

But just these probing attacks had caused Kairi Shishigou to lose quite a lot of supplies as he scrambled to respond.

”If I had known it would be like this, I should have demanded more pay when I accepted this commission.”

After taking stock of what remained of the items he had brought for this Holy Grail War, Kairi Shishigou couldn’t help but feel a twinge of heartbreak. ”Even though the specimen of the Hydra larvae is a rare material of which only two exist in the entire world...

But given the intensity of this early stage of the Holy Grail War, I might end up spending the entirety of this reward just to survive it.”

To be honest, if his family’s craft wasn’t Necromancy—meaning the army of homunculi dispatched by the Yggdmillennia clan, while troublesome, could at least be utilized as excellent corpse materials for his magic—Kairi Shishigou would truly want to throw in the towel and leave.

...No, even if these homunculus corpses were excellent materials for Necromancy, he needed time to craft them into truly usable magical tools.

Not to mention, after the Yggdmillennia clan had their first exchange with him and recognized the type of magic he used, it was highly likely they would tamper with these homunculus corpses.

However he looked at it, he was losing out~~

”If you’re so heartbroken, Master, why don’t you just leave these guys to me to solve?”

As the Servant summoned by Kairi Shishigou to this Holy Grail War, Mordred—manifested under the Saber class—said with an indifferent expression: ”I can flip all these enemies over by myself!”

”That is exactly why I can’t let you do that, Saber.” Kairi Shishigou sighed helplessly and rubbed his forehead.
