Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

If Silas Blackwood couldn’t use that thing for the rest of his life, how was he any different from a ruined man?

Besides, Silas Blackwood wasn’t even married yet. This was going to be the death of them.

”This... this can’t be true, Doctor! Are you the best doctor in this hospital? Go get your best doctor, now! You have to fix my son! We have money! We’ll pay whatever it takes!”

Mrs. Blackwood was acting like a madwoman, questioning everything and everyone.

In the middle of the night, these doctors had all been hastily summoned, and they had truly done their best.

They should have been resting, but they’d rushed over to save a life, only to be met not with a single word of thanks, but with the family’s abuse.

One of the doctors said, ”He’s already the most authoritative expert in our department. He dropped everything to rush over immediately. We are deeply sorry about what happened to your son, but there’s truly nothing more we can do. Even the world’s top doctors would likely be powerless in this situation.”

”Nonsense! It’s your incompetence! How can you blame my son? Didn’t you waste all that time on treatment, delaying his chances? You’re responsible for this! I’m going to sue the hospital! I’ll sue all of you!”

Mrs. Blackwood couldn’t listen to reason. All she knew was that her son was ruined.

”If that will make you feel better, then do as you please.” After saying that, the doctor also left.

They were just doctors, not gods. There were some things they couldn’t save. All they could do was their best.

Besides, they had been exhausted after a long day, only to rush over for a focused surgery. While the patient might be unable to perform sexually, their surgery at least ensured he could use the restroom normally in the future.

The doctors quickly departed. Mrs. Blackwood screamed after them, ”What kind of attitude is that? I want to change hospitals! A different hospital!”

”Enough! Have you no shame? Look at you, acting like a shrew.” Caleb Blackwood felt humiliated just looking at his wife.

”Our son is in this state, and you don’t even feel for him? If he’s really ruined for life, the Blackwood family line will end with him!” Mrs. Blackwood sobbed.

”I’ll contact other doctors, and I’ll find out who did this. For now, let’s go see our son.”

Silas Blackwood had already been moved to a regular ward. Caleb Blackwood walked over, and Mrs. Blackwood had no choice but to follow.

Looking at Silas Blackwood in the hospital bed, Mrs. Blackwood’s heart ached.

’Silas is still so young. If he can’t perform for the rest of his life, then he...’

Throughout the night, Mrs. Blackwood cried until her face was swollen, her eyes puffed up like walnuts.

Meanwhile, Caleb Blackwood contacted numerous doctors, all specialists in this field. After he sent them the data from this hospital regarding Silas Blackwood’s current condition, they all reviewed it and said there was likely nothing to be done.

This meant there was no hope for Silas Blackwood.

The next morning, Silas Blackwood finally woke up. When he opened his eyes, he saw Mrs. Blackwood and Caleb Blackwood.

”Dad, Mom... How did I...” Silas Blackwood tried to sit up.

He moved his hands and arms. They were fine, nothing wrong there.

’But below... there seems to be no feeling right now. Is that normal?’

Someone had ambushed him last night and struck him down there. He wasn’t sure if he was injured.

Seeing Silas Blackwood awake, Mrs. Blackwood started crying again.

”Mom, were you scared? I’m fine, see? I feel great. I could get up and dance a little. Don’t cry. When can I go home?”

But Mrs. Blackwood just covered her mouth, unable to say a word.

Seeing her expression, Silas Blackwood realized something was wrong.

”Mom, I need to use the restroom. I... I’m just going to the restroom.”

With that, Silas Blackwood got out of bed and walked toward the bathroom.

He took his phone with him, a dreadful feeling creeping over him. ’It can’t be...’

Silas Blackwood went into the bathroom and saw that the area was wrapped in bandages. He pulled out his phone and looked at pictures of the sexy women he used to admire. He felt absolutely nothing.

’How could this be!’

Silas Blackwood then searched for a few videos. Even if he felt a flicker of excitement mentally, his body...

He stared at his numb lower body. He was...

CLATTER. The phone fell to the floor. Silas Blackwood’s face was ashen.

Outside, Mrs. Blackwood was extremely worried. After a long time, the bathroom door finally opened. Seeing Silas Blackwood’s state, her heart ached even more.

”Silas, you...”

”What did the doctor say?” Silas Blackwood asked, looking like a walking corpse.

Mrs. Blackwood said, ”It’s not a big problem, Silas. We can definitely get it fixed. Mom will find you the best doctor in the world!”

”Son, tell me who did this. Mom will get revenge for you!”

Silas Blackwood recalled how his attacker had dragged him into the bushes and only struck that one area. It seemed premeditated, aimed specifically at him.

Silas Blackwood shook his head. ”I don’t know. I don’t know anything. The only people I had a conflict with yesterday were Ivy Sherwood and Quentin Blackwood. And no one else knew I was leaving the cruise ship. It must have been them!”

He clenched his fists so tightly the veins on the back of his hands looked like they were about to burst from his skin. His hands trembled from the force.

He gritted his teeth. If Ivy Sherwood were in front of him right now, he might have lunged forward and torn her to pieces.

”Quentin Blackwood? Isn’t he your uncle? Would he do something like this? Honey, we have to summon him here right now! If he really did this to Silas, he must be held accountable!”

”It couldn’t have been Quentin,” Caleb Blackwood said. He knew that if Quentin had wanted to make a move, he wouldn’t have waited until now, and it wouldn’t have been this simple.

Quentin Blackwood was ruthless, but he was also straightforward. He would never deny something he had done.

While his methods were indeed ruthless, he wasn’t the type to resort to such insidious, underhanded attacks.

”Then it must have been Ivy Sherwood! She knew Silas’s whereabouts, which is why the timing was so perfect. How else could it be such a coincidence that our son was attacked right after he left? It must have been Ivy Sherwood!”

”I told you that woman was no good! She’s a jinx! Ever since Silas met her, he’s had nothing but terrible luck. That car accident last time was probably her doing too! Even if it wasn’t her, that woman is our family’s nemesis, sent specifically to curse us!”

”If Ivy Sherwood really did this, I’ll make her pay with her life!”

Mrs. Blackwood hated Ivy Sherwood to the very marrow of her bones, wishing she could subject her to death by a thousand cuts and tear her limb from limb.

When Ivy Sherwood heard the news, she was still at home.

Nina Scott was there with her. Nina had heard about Quentin Blackwood taking her to the banquet last night—as his date, no less.

Nina Scott put on a look that demanded a full confession. ”So, you and Quentin Blackwood... is it official? When do I get to come to your wedding?”

’Great,’ Nina thought. ’If they’re really together, then as Ivy’s best friend, I’m the last one to know!’
