Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

When Thea Sherwood woke up, she found herself completely naked.

She looked down at her body, which was covered in purple and blue bruises. What had happened was self-evident.

Next to her was an open suitcase. Its original contents were scattered all over the bed, and all of them had been used.

The old man was also naked, smoking a cigar nearby.

’This old pervert... he’s not even human!’

”AH! I’m going to kill you!” Thea Sherwood shrieked, her voice a roar of fury.

But the effects of the drug hadn’t worn off yet. Her body was still weak, and she didn’t even have the strength to lunge at him. All she could do was glare at Charlie Rhodes.

She had actually thought Charlie Rhodes was coming to apologize to her, but instead...

”I’ve already transferred the money to you. One hundred million. Thea, if you want anything else, just ask your grandpa!”

”I don’t want your filthy money!” Thea Sherwood grabbed her phone, ready to transfer the money right back to Charlie Rhodes.

’What was this? Treating her like this and then giving her money... It was as if she were a prostitute.’

”Don’t be so quick to refuse. Money is a wonderful thing. Do you have any idea how much you can buy with this?”

”Thea, I know you’re a smart girl. Stick with your Godfather, and I won’t let you down. You’ll have more money than you can spend. I’ll give you everything you want. I’ll hire the best celebrity spokesperson for your store and find the best people to handle your design and planning. I can even turn you into a superstar. If you want to be admired by millions, I can give you that.”

Thea Sherwood was stunned. This was, indeed, everything she wanted. But Charlie Rhodes had assaulted her. Charlie Rhodes deserved to die!

”I know you won’t agree. You think I’m old, that you’re too good for me. But I really like you. And if I want you, I have my ways.”

”You were unwilling both times, weren’t you? And I still got you. Thea, you’re so beautiful. Your Godfather likes you.”

With that, Charlie Rhodes stubbed out his cigar and sat down beside her. He wrapped an arm around Thea Sherwood’s shoulder, his hand gradually sliding down as his actions grew more and more brazen.

Thea Sherwood wanted to fight back, but she didn’t have a shred of strength.

She could only watch helplessly as this disgusting old man toyed with her like a plaything. She glared at him, her eyes filled with hatred. ”Are you in on this with Ivy Sherwood?”

”Who’s Ivy Sherwood?” Charlie Rhodes had no idea what Thea Sherwood was talking about.

Looking at Charlie Rhodes’s expression, Thea Sherwood could tell he wasn’t lying. He really didn’t seem to know who Ivy Sherwood was.

She had seen Ivy Sherwood here too and assumed... she assumed Ivy and Charlie had conspired together again. Otherwise, how could it be such a coincidence that they were both here?

But if it wasn’t Ivy...

Thea Sherwood couldn’t bear to think that this might have been her own parents’ doing.

”What did Timothy Sherwood tell you?”

Charlie Rhodes, who only thought Timothy Sherwood had persuaded Thea to come, answered directly, ”He didn’t say much. Just that you were willing.”

Her anger slowly turned to despair. She clenched her fists tightly, her tear-filled eyes brimming with hatred.

’How could Timothy Sherwood push me into this abyss? Why didn’t he make Ivy Sherwood come instead!’

’Her mother, Ruby Sterling, probably knew about this too.’

’What was she to them? Was Claire Sherwood their only daughter?!’

Thea Sherwood suddenly recalled the things Ivy Sherwood had said. Only now did she realize how ridiculously wrong she had been before.

’But it was too late now. There was no turning back. She wouldn’t be grateful to Ivy. The last time Ivy saw her, why hadn’t she come sooner? Maybe Ivy deliberately let this happen and only showed up later to put on a hypocritical act!’

’And as for Timothy Sherwood and Ruby Sterling... she would make them all pay!’

”Thea, as long as you’re obedient, I’ll give you anything.”

Thea Sherwood’s nails were digging into her palms so hard they nearly drew blood. ”Anything I want, you’ll give me?”

”Of course.”

”Fine.” Fueled by immense hatred, Thea Sherwood agreed.

’She was already in this state, already tainted.’

’She might as well use Charlie Rhodes to make herself so powerful that no one would ever be able to look down on her again!’

...

After running into Thea Sherwood, Ivy Sherwood lost her mood for sightseeing.

She didn’t know where Quentin Blackwood had gone chasing after Silas Blackwood. The thought of it all just made her feel agitated.

She sat alone, sipping a cup of coffee. She chatted with Edie about company matters, then sent a few messages to Nina Scott.

Nina Scott asked her how the resort was and mentioned that the Scott Family might be coming to stay in the next day or two.

”It’s probably a lot of fun, but I haven’t gone anywhere. Nina, I wish you were here too.” At least she would have some company, unlike now, where she was sitting all by herself with no one to talk to.

”I’m not going. You know I have no desire to see the Scott Family, especially not Yara Scott’s face,” Nina Scott replied.

”By the way, since you went with Silas Blackwood, did you two sleep in the same bed last night?”

”Of course not! A lot happened. Last night... oh, right, Nina, didn’t you say last time that Quentin Blackwood has a fiancée?”

”Yeah?” ’Why is she suddenly bringing up Quentin Blackwood?’

’Could Quentin Blackwood be at the resort too?’

”That rumor’s not necessarily true, is it? Did he admit it himself?”

”Of course not. I just heard it from someone. Who knows if it’s real or not? Why are you suddenly asking about this?”

”It’s nothing, nothing. Just asking.”

”’Just asking?’ I’m getting the feeling that there’s something going on between you and him.”

Ivy Sherwood’s heart skipped a beat. ”Wha... What are you talking about!”

”Ivy, you know I’ve always got your back. And I’d love to see you conquer Quentin Blackwood and become Silas Blackwood’s little aunt!”

Ivy Sherwood nearly choked. ’Little aunt?’ ”Nina, don’t be ridiculous.”

”How am I being ridiculous? I just think you two are a great match. I just want to see the look on Silas Blackwood’s face when he’s filled with regret one day. He’s so disdainful of you now. Just wait until he finds out you’re the woman he’s been looking for all this time. He’ll probably die of anger!”

Ivy Sherwood: ”...”

”Ivy Sherwood, what are you doing, acting all sneaky?”

Speak of the devil. Silas Blackwood stalked over, a displeased look on his face.

He was still wearing last night’s clothes and looked completely disheveled.

”What guilty thing did you do? Why is your face so red?”

Thankfully, Ivy Sherwood wasn’t on a call. She put her phone down. ”What do you want? Weren’t you chasing after Quentin Blackwood?”

The mere mention of it made him furious. He had chased after Quentin Blackwood, asking all sorts of questions about that woman, but Quentin had refused to say another word.

Then a few people had approached Quentin, apparently to discuss something, and he had been blocked from following.

’He was the eldest young master of the Blackwood Family, for crying out loud! Was there anywhere he couldn’t go?’

”I’m warning you, stay away from him. My uncle was only being polite to you for my sake. Did you really think you’re someone special? You ugly hag!”

Ivy Sherwood’s expression turned icy. ”Did you forget to brush your teeth? Your breath stinks.”

Silas Blackwood: ”?”
