World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

”Where are we going? The sub-academy of your planet?” Evan asked as he moved along with Liam and the others.

”No...” Alice shook her head. ”We will first meet my mother and inform her about the problem with the Entrance Authority Token. After that, if you want to take a look at the academy, I will bring you there.”

Liam jumped over a broken tree and spoke while moving.

”Alice’s mother is in Evergreen City. It’s the capital of the Mariana Empire, where most of the high elves live. The academy is also located there, so it wouldn’t waste our time.”

”I see...” Evan nodded upon hearing them. ”How much time will it take us to reach there?”

”If we go on foot, it will take us over fifteen days, even if we run without much rest. But luckily, there is someone who is waiting for us outside the forest...” Alice said, and a smile appeared on her face. ”With her help, we will reach Evergreen City in just two days.”

Evan raised an eyebrow in surprise and wondered if it was a powerful Evolver.

Suddenly, he thought about the spaceship they had spoken about, and his eyes lit up.

”Are we going back using the spaceship?” He asked in a voice filled with anticipation.

Liam’s mouth twitched when he heard Evan’s anticipation-filled voice, and he spoke in a sour voice.

”Brother, we are just Rank One Evolvers. Although it’s not impossible for us to get a spaceship, it’s not easy to maintain that thing, as it costs a lot of money. The amount of Mana Cores that thing burns to travel is just...” Liam shook his head and didn’t say anything.

”OH...” Evan was somewhat disappointed that they were not going back using a spaceship, but he did not say anything.

Soon, two more hours passed, and they finally left the forest.

Emerging from the forest, Alice and the others stopped. Evan also stopped and looked around, searching for the person they said was coming to pick them up.

Seeing him looking around, Kevin pointed towards Alice.

Evan looked at her and saw that she was holding a strange-looking wooden flute, with small Runes engraved on it.

Evan looked at the flute curiously, wondering what it was.

Just then, Alice brought the flute closer to her mouth, and a melodious tune echoed across the surroundings.

Suddenly, the Runes on the flute lit up, and the next second, the sound coming from the flute spread across the wide region.

The sound coming from the flute wasn’t loud. But under the effect of the Runes, it spread over tens of kilometers of the surrounding area.

Evan listened to the tune carefully, but other than finding it pleasing to the ears, he did not notice anything extraordinary about it.

Just then, he sensed something and raised his head. Alice also stopped playing the flute and raised her head with a smile.

In the sky, Evan saw a giant Magical Beast descending towards their location.

Seeing such a giant Magical Beast, Evan instinctively took out his Arch Eagle Crossbow.

Liam noticed his action and immediately stopped him.

”Don’t worry, that’s our ride.”

Although he had anticipated it, hearing Liam’s words, Evan was still greatly shocked. He put away his crossbow and looked at the giant Magical Beast with curiosity.

’It’s a Rank Two Magical Beast...’ He sensed the aura of the beast, and his eyes narrowed slightly.

Soon, the Magical Beast landed some distance away from them, and Alice walked over to it.

Alice raised her palm towards its face, and the Magical Beast lowered its head, rubbing its giant head against Alice’s palm with an affectionate look.

”It’s a Wind Sparrow. Among all the Magical Beasts, its flight ability is one of the best...” Liam said to Evan.

Now that the Magical Beast was right before him, Evan was finally able to see it clearly.

The Wind Sparrow was thirty meters long and fifteen meters tall, with a wingspan of over one hundred meters.

The wings of the bird were light green in color, while the rest of its body was covered in moss-green feathers, with its eyes being bright yellow in color.

”Thanks for waiting for us here all this time, Nero,” Alice said to the bird in a soft voice.

Nero let out a soft cry from its mouth and lowered its head before Alice, as if saying it was not a big deal.

Evan looked at their interaction and suddenly thought about the egg that he had received as a reward in the dungeon.

’I wonder what kind of Magical Beast will come out of it...’ He muttered inwardly, hoping it would also be something good like this Wind Sparrow.

Just as he was thinking, William heard Kevin’s muttering.

”Let’s hope this arrogant bird allows Evan to ride on its back.”

Evan looked at Kevin in confusion and asked, ”What do you mean?”

Kevin sighed and shook his head.

”This guy Nero is very arrogant. Other than Alice, it doesn’t allow anyone else to ride on its back. It was only after Alice requested it that it allowed us to ride it and brought us here. Now that you are here...” He shook his head and didn’t continue.

”Alright, everyone, let’s go,” Alice suddenly said as she climbed onto the back of Nero.

Kevin and the others looked at Evan and gave him an encouraging look.

”Go on, brother. If this guy doesn’t allow you to ride on its back, I will give you a map, and you can run all the way to Evergreen City.”

Evan’s mouth twitched when he heard Liam’s words.

”Don’t worry, I have already talked to Nero. It won’t make things difficult for you,” Alice said when she heard their conversation.

”Alright,” Evan nodded and cautiously walked towards Nero.

It couldn’t be helped. Although Alice said she had already talked to it, Evan still wasn’t feeling at ease.

This guy was a Rank Two Magical Beast, and if it suddenly attacked him, even with his current strength, he would definitely be injured.

Soon, Evan stopped right before Nero and looked at him.

The giant bird looked down at Evan with its deep yellow eyes.

Suddenly, the bird seemed to notice something, and its big eyes widened.

”Nero, let him si—”

Alice was still in the middle of speaking when suddenly, the bird lowered its head on its own and looked at Evan with an affectionate look, letting out soft sounds and urging him to sit on its head.
