Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Spiritual Power Reaches a Bottleneck

In the castle’s training room, David was once again preparing for a breakthrough.

Currently, all the territory-related affairs that required his involvement have been settled, so he delegated the governance to Reina and resumed his cultivation.

This time, training with Reina, his Snow Demon Spirit was about to break through again.

In order to counter the threat from the Second Prince, he must elevate his power to Tier Six quickly; otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to confront the Second Prince.

”My current Spiritual Power is at Tier Three.”

”I wonder if elevating the Snow Demon Spirit to Tier Five will enhance the intensity of my Spiritual Power.” He contemplated in his heart.

Compared to the enhancement of the Knight’s power, he felt that his Spiritual Power had hit a bottleneck, even with the Snow Demon Secret Medicine, Snow Demon Breathing Technique, Tier Four Snow Demon Spirit, and Intermediate Ice Element Talent.

Lately, no matter how he cultivated, his Spiritual Power seemed impossible to enhance, leaving him without any sign of a path to enhance it further.

He had a sense that the current intensity of his Spiritual Power was the limit that the Snow Demon Spirit and Snow Demon Breathing Technique could elevate, and to enhance it further, he needed to find a way for his Spiritual Power to transform.

This was somewhat similar to a Knight’s bloodline and the strength achievable from the Breathing Technique. Just like the limit of a Tier Two bloodline is a Tier Two Knight, the limit achievable from a Tier Two Breathing Technique is also Tier Two.

And the Snow Demon Breathing Technique, after all, is not a true Meditation Method. Perhaps it can only elevate the practitioner’s Spiritual Power to Tier Three, or possibly Tier Two Peak is the limit of the Snow Demon Breathing Technique; he managed to break through to Tier Three relying on the power of the system.

Only this time, even relying on the power of the system, he questioned if he could continue to elevate his Spiritual Power or even break the constraint of the Snow Demon Spirit’s power level.

His mind ran through numerous thoughts, ultimately expelling them all. He closed his eyes, opened the system interface, and mentally commanded, ”Breakthrough.”

An invisible force surged into his Spiritual World, infusing into the Frost Wolf Spirit, solidifying its body, as if it were a true Frost Giant Wolf!

At this moment, the Frost Wolf Spirit’s level successfully reached Tier Five.

Following this was the spiritual feedback from the Snow Demon Spirit’s level upgrade, causing David’s Spiritual Power to expand once again, shaking the Spiritual World.

”My Spiritual Power truly increased!” David’s eyes brightened.

Although the extension of Spiritual Power wasn’t vast, it gave him hope, perhaps allowing him to continue enhancing his Spiritual Power!

Then, he activated the Snow Demon Breathing Technique, summoning the surrounding Ice Elemental Power to converge and pour into his Spiritual World, beginning to train his Spiritual Power.

Thus, a period passed.

David opened his eyes, his expression still heavy.

But even with the Tier Five Snow Demon Spirit, he still couldn’t get his Spiritual Power to improve. It seemed indeed that it reached the upper limit that the Snow Demon Spirit could enhance; it might only be possible to find a Meditation Method for further breakthroughs.

”The Meditation Method of Wizards,” he sighed.

During this time, he never stopped searching for Wizards, but except for that Shadow Witch, there were no other clues related to Wizards.

This made him lament how cautious Wizards were, likely hidden in places where church forces couldn’t infiltrate.

Additionally, he received news that the Saintess of the Silver Moon Holy Light Church and the Holy Light Knight Order had headed to the Northern Lands to spread their faith on these chaotic grounds.

Originally, the main base of the Holy Light Church was in the Dawn Empire, and while other kingdoms on the Knight Continent also believed in the Holy Light Church, its influence in these kingdoms wasn’t as great as one would think.

After all, royal authority and divine authority inherently conflict; unless a king is a devout follower of the Holy Light Church, no kingdom would allow the rampant spread of divine power within their domain, thus affecting royal control over the common folk!

The Silver Moon Kingdom is located on the far west of the continent, far from the Dawn Empire.

Therefore, it’s a place less influenced by the Holy Light Church; many noble territories even forbid the establishment of churches.

This was the main reason David dared to harbor witches within his territory.

As long as these matters weren’t blatantly revealed, the church would find it difficult to detect the existence of witches within his domain; it wasn’t hard to keep it concealed within a certain range.

Of course, even if the presence of witches was exposed, it would take time for the Silver Moon Holy Light Church to deploy forces to Frost Wolf Ridge, allowing him enough time to respond.

Though, this time, the Saintess of the Silver Moon Holy Light Church, along with a part of the Holy Light Knights, actually arrived in the Northern Lands, evidently attempting to breach through here, using the turmoil to spread belief among the populace, thus cultivating more Holy Light Believers.

For David, this was certainly not good news. Apart from the threat from the Holy Light Knight Order itself, it might also alarm the Wizards in the Northern Lands.

If these Wizards all chose to flee the Northern Lands or even escape the Silver Moon Kingdom, it would become even harder for him to track down Wizards’ traces.

”For now, it’s better to focus primarily on cultivating the Knight’s power,” David sighed inwardly, knowing that enhancements in Spiritual Power training had to be set aside for now.

However, the two magical abilities he currently possesses, Frost Breath and Cold Winter Curse Spell, still require continued practice.

After practicing the Frost Wolf Breathing Technique for a while, he then left the training room.

Inside the castle.

Reina was still in the City Hall handling affairs, so David first went to see Liya.

”Liya, how are you doing?” David asked with concern.

”I’m more or less fine.”

Liya softly replied, ”In a couple of days, I’ll be able to serve Young Master David.”

”You should rest for a few more days.”

”I understand.” Liya smiled sweetly.

David then turned to Amy.

These past two days, due to handling political affairs, he was mostly with Reina and somewhat neglected the Little Witch.

Now, having dealt with affairs requiring his immediate attention, it was a good chance to compensate the Little Witch and take the opportunity to elevate the Ice Element Talent to high level.

The Intermediate Ice Element Talent had already played a critical role in boosting his strength, whether it was in the development of the Frost Giant Wolf Bloodline or mastering the icy power of the Snow Demon Spirit, all accomplished relying on the Intermediate Ice Element Talent. Once upgraded to high level, the improvement would be even greater!

...

At night.

Within the Frost Wolf Ridge Manor.

Annie read under the oil lamp.

During this time, she had been waiting for the Duke Frost Wolf.

Unfortunately, the Duke Frost Wolf had been delayed, so she settled in peacefully.

At this moment, she was communicating through a book retrieved from a letter in a vial by Little Black Sparrow.

”The Saintess Lucia of the Silver Moon Holy Light Church is actually in the Northern Land.”

Reading the two letters’ names made Annie’s expression turn serious, as these two were more formidable than the Northern Bishop. Their existence was rooted in hunting wizards!

If Hillman sensed the Wizard’s Magic Power contained within them, they would inevitably be hunted down by the Holy Light Church.

”If that’s the case, then I’ll have to stay here even more.”

This was the only way she felt a semblance of safety, knowing she could quickly escape with Little Black Sparrow into the Frost Wolf Forest if needed, to evade pursuit from the Holy Light Church.

”So, that’s what I’ll do.”

Inside the Frost Wolf Castle.

David was still unaware that a witch had been waiting for him within.

The Shadow Witch he had been searching for was also spotted at Frost Wolf Ridge.

The restless Little Witch sat with her head down, buried in a book, suddenly feeling embarrassed and not daring to look up.

He had finally managed to achieve the required Experience Points for a breakthrough in his Ice Element Talent through persistent effort.
