Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 55: Chapter 55: Liquid Fighting Qi

”Those are... the wolf cavalry of the Frost Wolf Clan!”

Seeing these figures, Marquis Ice Bear’s gaze slightly tightened.

As someone who had lived through the heyday of the Frost Wolf Clan, he naturally knew about their wolf cavalry.

But weren’t all the old duke’s wolf cavalry already dead on the battlefield? Why does the Frost Wolf Clan still possess such a number of wolf cavalry?

Moreover, with the financial strength of the Frost Wolf Clan, they shouldn’t be able to support the taming and training of so many gray wolves, right? All of this seems somewhat unreasonable!

Other nobles and knights of the Ice Bear City allied forces naturally saw these wolf cavalry as well, their expressions changing instantly, as images of the old duke leading his wolf cavalry to conquer the lands flashed in their minds, a hint of fear showing in their eyes.

The number of wolf cavalry is just as many as that of the old duke!

Awoooo——

Seeing the enemies before them, the gray wolves continuously howled.

And at the same time, more gray wolves appeared from the trees on both sides, howls coming from all directions, filling the battlefield with wolf cries!

”Gray wolf pack, another gray wolf pack!”

”How is this possible? Why are there so many gray wolves?”

Some nobles cried out in surprise, their faces showing incredulous expressions.

These gray wolves possess a touch of extraordinary bloodline, capable of challenging knight’s attendants, yet the number of gray wolves appearing here seems excessively high!

Even if their numbers are greater than the gray wolves, how many truly reach the rank of knight’s squire? The gap in strength between both sides is really too great!

Witnessing this scene, some nobles began to regret; had they known Frost Wolf Ridge had tamed so many gray wolves, they wouldn’t have come!

Now, where is Ice Bear City’s allied forces attacking Frost Wolf Ridge? Rather Frost Wolf Ridge is awaiting Ice Bear City’s forces to fall into their trap, entirely a case of sheep strayed into the tiger’s den!

”Stay calm!”

”Even if Frost Wolf Ridge still retains some wolf cavalry, today’s duke is not the same as the former duke; what is there to fear?”

”As long as we kill Duke Frost Wolf, these gray wolves will have nothing to fear!”

Marquis Ice Bear spoke coldly.

At this point, even if it means gritting their teeth, they must advance without any retreat!

”All knights, slow down, reorganize formations, and prepare to charge with me.” He ordered loudly.

”Yes, Marquis.” The knights received their orders and departed.

Across, David also noticed the actions of Ice Bear City’s allied forces, seeing them slow down, a trace of coldness appearing on his face.

”Frost Wolf Knight Order, charge with me!” He decisively commanded.

Now the enemy is still marching, while the Frost Wolf Knight Order is already prepared; naturally, he would not give the enemy any chance to adjust.

Oooooo——

With the sound of the horn, the wolf cavalry moved first.

Snow Wolf took the lead, the wolf cavalry quickly followed, transforming into a gray arrow, rushing directly toward Ice Bear City’s allied forces opposite!

”Marquis, they’re coming.”

Some chaos appeared on Ice Bear City’s allied forces side.

Although this force numbers over a thousand, it resembles a motley crew, not forming a cohesive unit properly and appearing somewhat scattered.

Additionally, they all thought this would be a one-sided suppression by Ice Bear City’s forces, believing the Ice Bear Knight Order alone would immediately end the battle.

They never considered that Duke Frost Wolf would train hundreds of wolf cavalry and would strike first, killing toward Ice Bear City’s side!

”Good timing!”

”Ice Bear Knight Order, charge with me!”

Marquis Ice Bear roared angrily, as the white bear beneath him had already charged out.

Although Ice Bear City’s allied forces seemed chaotic, the elite Ice Bear Knight Order were well-prepared for battle.

Now, with the charge horn blowing, they immediately spurred their horses into a gallop.

Although the mountain horses do not possess an extraordinary bloodline like the gray wolves, their massive size and stamina, combined with heavy armor, make them formidable war assets!

As the Ice Bear Knights charged, they quickly separated from Ice Bear City’s forces, causing two streams to approach each other across the plain!

Rumble Rumble——

The whole earth shook from the charging of both sides.

Eventually, the Frost Wolf Knight Order collided with the Ice Bear Knight Order!

The gray wolves’ size is no less than that of the mountain horses, plus possessing a slight extraordinary bloodline, even if gray wolves do not excel in charging, they still blocked the opponent!

If not for the mountain horses wearing thick armor, they might have been directly knocked off by the gray wolves, a wolf cavalry could have pierced through them!

Once the mounts collided, knights atop their mounts also engaged in battles, constantly swinging their weapons toward the opponent!

In armor and weapons, the Ice Bear Knights clearly have the upper hand.

Awroo——

But just as an Ice Bear Knight raised the knight’s sword in his hand, a gray wolf in the rear suddenly leaped up, directly knocking the Ice Bear Knight to the ground!

Now that the mounts of both sides halted their charge, the gray wolves’ agility clearly offered an advantage, directly aiding the wolf cavalry in combat!

With the gray wolves weaving in and out, they compensate for the Frost Wolf Knight’s disadvantage in weapons.

Meanwhile, as one wolf’s howl sounded, gray wolves from the flanking woods charged down, attacking these knights from the sides!

Awroo——

Xiaoxue let out a wolf howl.

The gray wolves ran orderly under the leader’s guidance.

A portion of the gray wolves charged at the allied forces, while others under the Snow Wolf Leader attacked the Ice Bear Knights entangled with the wolf cavalry.

This left the Ice Bear Knights fighting the enemy surrounded, as if stabbed in the back by a sharp knife, rendering them temporarily powerless to resist!

”Get off!”

Marquis Ice Bear roared in anger, smashing a gray wolf away with his heavy hammer!

Later, his gaze fell on David charging with the troops.

In the frontal collision, Ice Bear City’s allied forces were utterly outmatched; only by slaying Duke Frost Wolf on the spot could he achieve final victory in this war!

In this, he has absolute confidence, as he has already completed part of the Fighting Qi’s liquidation as a Quasi-Fifth Tier Knight, while his opponent has only just broken through the Tier Four!
