Chapter 1347: Chapter 455: Safe Deposit Box

Rein was sure that he had just seen something.

However, when he perceived it again, he found that the other party had disappeared.

Logically, with his perception, it shouldn’t be possible for him not to sense anything in a room of over a hundred square meters, but strangely, the opponent disappeared into thin air.

”Sect Leader, I feel something’s not right, be careful.” Rein whispered to Moria, who was about to enter.

Moria was just opening the door, so he didn’t notice the fleeting shadow inside the room. However, after experiencing several crises, his trust in Rein had greatly increased.

Hearing what Rein said, naturally, his expression became serious, and he asked, ”For example?”

”Just now, I seemed to see a shadow.”

”A vengeful spirit? That’s quite possible.”

However, since both of them had come this far, there was naturally no question of giving up.

But since they knew there might be something in the room, they were naturally more cautious. The two of them first applied defensive witchcraft, then wide-opened the door and used hardened essence gold, morphed into multiple metal clasps fixed to the wall, keeping the door open.

In this way, if there was something they had to avoid, they could quickly leave.

When the two saw the room for themselves, they found it exceeded a hundred square meters. Opposite the entrance was a row of bookshelves, and on the left was a seating area with a tea table and four sofa chairs.

Further back was a massive desk....

”Indeed worthy of the sect leader’s room.”

Just then, Rein seemed to sense something and suddenly turned his head to look at the door behind them, where he saw a pale blue apparition standing.

The other party was a humanoid specter, seemingly wearing some kind of butler outfit, with a clearly visible face, around forty to fifty years old, but with a very strange expression, staring intently at Rein and Moria.

”Intruders... this is the master’s room....”

Although no sound echoed, both of them ’received’ the other’s words through some kind of spiritual power shock.

Rein and Moria couldn’t help but glance at each other.

Could it be that the other party had survived in some form of a spiritual body?

This was somewhat troublesome.

After all, logically speaking, a place with no one is called a ruin. Now that there is a ”person” here, it is very obvious that they are the intruders.

”You shouldn’t have come. Now that you’re here, surrender and await judgment when the master returns!” The spiritual power shock came again.

Surrender? Judgment?

This left Rein speechless, after all, this was a ruin that had been here for thousands of years, it was perfectly normal for them to explore it.

Just as Rein and Moria were about to say something, suddenly, the other party extended their hand toward them.

Instantly, two peculiar pale blue arrows blasted toward them.

”Hmm? They look like ice element ice arrows, but the energy fluctuation isn’t ice element.”

Although both Rein and Moria were protected by defensive witchcraft such as the steel armor technique, they cautiously chose not to take them head-on due to the uncertain effect of the witchcraft, quickly dodging.

However, faced with the apparition’s unceremonious attack, Rein naturally counterattacked immediately.

As Rein lifted his hand, a huge metal net radiating a silver glow rushed toward the pale blue figure.

Just when Rein thought the other party would use witchcraft to defend or dodge, he was stunned to find that the other party neither dodged nor avoided his attack.

”Swish!”

The silver metal net passed through, leaving a fine mesh pattern on the stone wall.

Strangely, the pale blue body slightly quivered like a flowing stream, emitting a ripple like stirred water, but then there was no change.

It seemed... his witchcraft did not harm the opponent.

No, maybe it did, but very minutely!

However this shouldn’t be the case; it’s normal for a spiritual body to be immune to physical attacks, but not immune to energy attacks like witchcraft.

The metal energy particles attached to the cutting net, logically speaking, should have caused substantial damage even if the opponent was a spiritual body.

”Hmm? Even if it’s a spiritual body, it shouldn’t be immune to witchcraft damage.” Moria frowned, exclaiming.

He clearly realized the problem as well.

Moria knew the power of Rein’s cutting net attack, but it had no effect, which was not logical at all.

”Let me try.”

Moria cast a water arrow art; with a wave of his hand, the water arrow swiftly shot towards the bizarre shadow.

”Swish!”

The pale blue apparition rippled again like water flow, and as with Rein’s metal cutting net, the water arrow passed through, clearly not causing much harm.

”Shh!”

At the same time, a metal short spear was thrown by Rein at the opponent, which passed through and lodged in the wall behind the apparition, without causing any harm either.

The scene made the two of them knit their brows deeply.

The witchcraft effect was weak, the physical attack was completely ineffective, how could they fight!

It felt like a strengthened version of the Void Dragon’s ’virtualization’ skill, but virtualization only makes about half of the energy damage from witchcraft immune, while the apparition before them reduced at least ninety percent of the damage.

Although the attacks from Rein and Moria were basically ineffective, the previous attack seemed to further enrage the other party.

”Intruders... this is provocation; perhaps, I don’t need to wait for the master to return, maybe I should just deal with you myself!” as the spiritual shock came again.
