Chapter 1303: Chapter 440: Soul Stealer

At the same time.

In a suburban manor south of the Imperial City Tamriel.

The manor is quite expansive, and the most striking feature is its main building, an ancient castle with a clear sense of age.

The castle, not counting the watchtower, has a main structure consisting of three stories, with four round arrow towers at each corner, topped with battlements that look quite defensive.

However, judging by the wild grasses in the cracks of the gray stone walls and the large patches of moss covering its surface, this castle appears to be very old.

Regardless, being able to own such a rare castle manor in the suburbs of the Imperial City is not something that an average great noble could manage.

At this moment, on the top of the third floor of the castle, the Second Prince’s butler, Earl Buchanan, is anxiously waiting with two teams of fully armed guards.

”Sir, look, that should be Lord Bostaf’s airship, right?”

At this moment, a servant excitedly points to an airship appearing on the horizon.

Although there are many airships traveling in the sky over the Imperial City, the design of this one is quite rare.

Both ends of its airbag are sharply elliptical, resembling a narrow date seed, and the suspended cabin underneath is spindle-shaped, with three propellers at the tail providing powerful thrust.

If Rein were present, he would instantly recognize that this design is actually intended to reduce air resistance and thus increase speed.

And indeed it is.

This streamlined airship is designed specifically for long-distance travel.

”That’s right, it’s this one.” Earl Buchanan squints his eyes and takes a closer look, and a smile finally breaks his solemn expression.

Finally, it has arrived.

If Bostaf had delayed any longer, Rein might have returned.

Missing such an opportunity would leave Buchanan deeply regretful.

A few minutes later, the airship slowly docks at the arrow tower on the northeast corner of the castle, serving as a mooring point.

”Creak!”

As a sturdy steel boot steps onto the long strip of iron gangway, the hefty iron gangway creaks under the weight and visibly sags.

A massive figure over four meters tall bends down and emerges from the airship cabin, a robust man cloaked in enormous iron shoulder guards and half leather armor.

The iron shoulder guards bear several centimeter-long scratches, and the leather armor has several large holes, indicating a fierce battle, yet there are no evident wounds on the exposed skin.

”What a job, double the thickness of the gangway next time!”

Seeing this, Buchanan immediately reprimands the nearby servants in a low voice.

But in the next moment, he approaches with a broad smile to greet.

”Lord Bostaf, welcome back safely.”

”No need for courtesy, Lord Buchanan.” A deep voice rumbles from the other’s throat.

Although it seems the other intentionally controlled the volume of his speech, the guards nearby feel their ears buzzing as if hearing distant thunder in the sky.

”Creak! Creak!”

With just two steps, the figure traverses the nearly seven or eight-meter-long gangway, all the while holding a long, cylindrical tentacle in his hand.

The tentacle is dark gray, with uneven circular spots on its surface and about as thick as an adult male’s ankle.

Just as Buchanan is about to say something, suddenly!

”Wow!”

Bostaf’s large hand gives a tug, and a twenty-meter-plus-long, oddly-shaped creature is swiftly pulled out from the cabin.

In the next moment, he places the strange creature adorned with multiple tentacles gently on the ground.

Instantly, the surrounding guards fall into a panic, retreating rapidly!

Even though the creature is dead, its oppressive aura still sends chills down their spines, hinting at how terrifying it must have been when alive.

The monster’s body is not very large, about five or six meters long, forming a massive spherical shape with a giant eye in the center, lacking upper and lower eyelids, and seven or eight tentacles hang down below.

What Bostaf had just been holding was one of its tentacles.

It’s not hard to see that when alive, this creature likely relied on its tentacles to stand and move.

”This...is this...the Soul Stealer?”

”Lord Bostaf, did you actually slay this creature?” Buchanan is utterly shocked, losing his calm demeanor he usually prides himself on for being worldly wise.

It’s important to know that this creature before them is the worshipped entity of tens of thousands of indigenous tribes on the Taboo Island, essentially their totem creature.

The origins of the creature are untraceable.

However, according to legend, it’s not a being of this world, possessing epic level strength, and with countless years of native worship, it has acquired a hint of divinity; this creature calls itself the Soul Stealer.

Even among epic level battle powers, it’s an extremely fierce entity, and yet, it was slain by Bostaf.

Buchanan remembers clearly that the task given to Bostaf by the Second Prince Everton was to obtain a part of this Soul Stealer’s body tissues.

Since dragon lineage is inherently extremely powerful, it’s considered necessary to mix in the blood of such a formidable creature from another world.

Moreover, he heard that the Federation was also planning to slay this creature.

Unexpectedly, Bostaf brought back the complete corpse of this monster, which is truly incredible!
