Chapter 2520: Chapter 2521: Spirit of the Python

Lady Melo glanced around. This glasshouse was not large, about the same size as the interior of the wooden cabin in the previous illusion. All sides were transparent glass, and outside the glass was floating rainbow fog.

”Are we the only ones here?” Lady Melo: ”Where are the others?”

Angel pointed outside: ”They’re still outside, let’s have them stay in the illusion for now.”

Lady Melo: ”Is the master planning to use this to hone their temperament?”

”Do you think if I wanted to train them with illusions, I would use this type of illusion?” Although Angel did not comment on the rainbow illusion outside, Lady Melo still heard the disapproval in his tone.

Lady Melo thought for a moment and found it reasonable. Such illusion, apart from stirring some inner bubbles, was only good for scaring. Anyone with normal thinking would easily see that in front of them was definitely not reality.

”Is the master expecting them to find their own way out?”

Seeing the illusion and walking out of it are two different things. Even Lady Melo couldn’t figure out how to leave the illusion for now; she had been forcefully pulled out by Angel earlier.

Angel: ”No, I just simply want them to stay inside for a while longer.”

Lady Melo looked at Angel’s calm face and thought of the little trick played on the stairs earlier, pondering.

Is it that you want to watch a show again?

Angel saw Lady Melo’s ”I understand” expression, feeling helpless, explained in a somewhat exasperated manner: ”I’m keeping them in the illusion because what follows next may not be suitable for them to see.”

Lady Melo was taken aback: ”What do you mean?”

Angel snapped his fingers lightly, and suddenly a staircase crystal-like appeared in the center of the glasshouse, spiraling upwards.

Looking from below upwards, a vague door to a room could be seen.

”Is that the princess’s room?” Lady Melo questioned.

”I don’t know if it’s the princess’s room, but the two Talented Ones you’re looking for are in there.” Angel paused: ”Rest assured, they’re alive, just that the scene inside might not be very pleasant, hence, it’s better not to have other Talented Ones go over.”

”Of course, if you wish, I can let others in. However, those two people inside, even if alive, might long for death.”

Angel’s words, clearly filled with hints, immediately reminded Lady Melo of Amisha’s previous ordeal.

The missing two Talented Ones, Golos and Bruiser, whatever else could be said, at least their appearances were of different charm, looking more pleasing than those three men outside.

And the princess being a deviant, what would she do after catching two handsome men?

Lady Melo seemed to vaguely understand.

”Well then, let them stay outside for a bit longer. Although the illusion is not high-end, it can still sharpen them.” Lady Melo paused: ”Shall we go up now? Or, would you prefer to go up first, master?”

Lady Melo’s etiquette taught her not to see what is inappropriate. Though Amisha was female earlier, those two men, her presence might even hurt their dignity.

Angel raised an eyebrow: ”So, am I their Guide? I pulled you out of the illusion, not for a role swap.”

Lady Melo quickly said: ”I’m just, just...”

Angel: ”No need to explain, let’s go up together. Although the scene is unsightly, what Dox said is right, it indeed has a bit of artistic taste.”

As Angel spoke, he walked up the crystal spiral staircase.

Lady Melo immediately followed, etiquette is important, but her duty as a Guide is evidently more crucial than etiquette.

Soon, they arrived at the end of the staircase.

There was a vividly colorful door embedded with gemstones, filled with dreamlike colors. The door had no lock, but at the lock position, there was a hole.

Rustling noises came from the hole, causing Lady Melo to instantly become wary.

Soon, something emerged from the hole... a snake head.

It was the head of a pink-scaled python, donned with a fairytale princess’s dreamlike crown, with sparkling stardust on its pink scales, and those two big eyes lacked the cold vertical pupils typical of snakes, instead, having pink heart-shaped pupils.

It indeed resembled a creature from a fairy tale.

But Angel could see through the low-grade illusion, perceiving the snake’s true ugly and dirty appearance.

”Is our lovely little princess back? What delightful treats will Princess bring to her most loyal servant Slaikum today? Let me guess, is it the hand of the maid who came to clean the glasshouse earlier, or your favorite male attendant’s head? I hope for the maid’s hand, if guessed right, after enjoying the treat, I’ll report something important to the Princess. Of course, even if it’s the male attendant’s head, I’ll still report to Princess, after all, Slaikum is the most faithful servant, no secrets kept from Princess.”

The pink snake head swayed flatteringly, failing to notice the people before it weren’t the returning princess.

Only after finishing its sycophantic speech did the pink snake head bat its forcibly attached charming eyelashes and look forward.

On discovering the newcomers weren’t the princess but rather unfamiliar man and woman, its previous flattering expression instantly shifted to one of malicious intensity: ”Intruders! You dare come here, courting death!”

As the snake head’s words fell, it launched an attack without hesitation.

Its head rose high, pink poison mist spraying from its mouth, simultaneously revealing sharp teeth, like an arrow fiercely aiming at Angel’s neck.

However, this hasty attack operation appeared utterly unremarkable to Angel.

Angel lazily waved his hand, and the surrounding Speedy blew away the poison mist, while the widely opened pink snake head’s mouth was casually stuffed with a Magic Bread by Angel.

Well, he just made it nice and warm, and the flavor is excellently great. The only regret is this time it was slightly overcooked, a bit hard, about as hard as a diamond.

The pink snake head got baffled by this sequence of actions, the taste in its mouth was unprecedentedly nauseating, stuck precisely at its throat, hard to swallow, also hard to spit.

It stammered endlessly, stuck in immobility.

Angel also released a bit of wizard-level pressure at this moment, the heart-shaped pupils of the pink snake head immediately shrank into a fine line!

”How...ugh...oh...another wizard...”

Angel smilingly said: ”I heard Dox mention you, he found you filthy and can’t be bothered with you, just made you temporarily speechless. Seems like the mute barrier has been lifted now.”

Upon hearing that Angel knew the previous visitor, the pink snake head immediately cowered. That red-haired Dox, Grey Crow might barely handle it, but now it seems, not just one wizard has entered the castle!

Two wizards, that’s tough to deal with.

Moreover, this Wizard looks even more fierce and terrifying than that Dox from before, actually using hardened poo to block its throat. Most importantly, Dox only told it to be silent, but in the eyes of this Wizard, there was actually a murderous intent!

Is he planning to kill the adorable Slaikum? Oh my, I haven’t lived long enough, I haven’t become the legendary world serpent, how can I die!

Thinking of this, the pink snakehead immediately changed its attitude, conveying with its eyes the meaning of ”I surrender”, those eyes unlike a snake, more like a certain type of sled dog.

Still saying intermittently, ”I, I can, ugh, tell the lord, ugh, all the secrets here. Lord, I can stand in the lord’s camp anytime!”

Angel: ”Since you’re sensible, I’ll let you go for now. I’ll ask about the secrets later, first open the door for me.”

This pink python is not a pet, but a kind of spirit, similar to the Tree Spirit and Mirror Lady. Of course, only the ”spirit” group is similar, in terms of strength, it can’t even touch a single hair of Lady Mirror.

This python spirit is integrated into this door, becoming the spirit of the door.

To enter the inner room, one must either kill this python spirit or let it open it itself.

Speaking of which, many spirits in the Wizards’ Realm guard the doors of homes. For instance, the Twin Stone Spirit Taros of Silent Hill, Zibber Totem of West Dimosha, even including Mirror Lady, are considered door spirits.

Not that spirits like choosing doors, but Wizards want spirits to become doors.

Spirits are after all affiliated with Wizards, so many will be born according to the Wizard’s wishes. Of course, except for Book Elder.

Because Book Elder’s status in the Wizards’ Realm is probably higher than Lord Reine.

Since the python spirit has already expressed submission, naturally it dares not defy Angel’s words, the door was gently opened.

As the door opened, even before Lady Melo looked inside, she already heard familiar shouts.

”Ah ah ah ah! How hateful!”

”That despicable human ant! Dare to treat the Demon King walking on the earth like this, it’s unforgivable desecration, destined to incur divine punishment from the demon realm!”

These roars made Angel at the door halt his steps instantly.

And beside him, Lady Melo showed a hint of awkwardness: ”Bruiser is a very lively child, his imagination is rich.”

After Lady Melo’s words, a slightly calm but still breathless boy’s voice sounded: ”Are you really the Dark Demon King’s surrogate on earth?”

”Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! How many times have I said, Golos, are you a fish with no memory? I’m not a surrogate! I am the Dark Demon King himself!”

Golos asked in doubt: ”Then why were you caught by that lunatic too?”

”I am the young Demon King, do you understand what young Demon King means? It means I haven’t developed yet, the Demon King’s power is dormant in my body, it will grow over time, eventually letting me ascend the dark throne again!”

Golos seemed to sincerely believe: ”Hmm... is that so? Then young Demon King, you have no way out? You’ve been with Lady Melo longer than I have, hasn’t the lady taught you the tricks to unlock the Demon King’s power?”

The previously clamorous voice suddenly weakened somewhat: ”Of course I have a way, don’t you see my right hand?”

”I noticed before, your right hand is wrapped in bandages.”

”Foolish mortals, this is no ordinary bandage, it’s a special energy formation, its function is to seal the massive dark power within me. Just a little uncovering would reveal a dark power sufficient to solve our current crisis.”

Bruiser spoke very fervently, but mid-sentence it took a turn again: ”But, as you can see, I’m bound like this, unable to undo the seal binding the dark power. So...”

Golos: ”So, you have no way either, right? Young Demon King.”

Bruiser: ”...”

Golos: ”By the way, didn’t you just say the power dormant in you is the Demon King power, how come the bandage seals dark power? Are there differences between these two powers?”

Bruiser was stunned, he forgot to perfect this detail while boasting, damn, why does Golos remember so clearly!

However, Golos’s questions were not yet finished: ”Before we were tied up, your hands were completely free, why didn’t you uncover the bandages then?”

Bruiser’s voice turned low: ”...That’s because I forgot, you might not understand, as a young Demon King, my memory is extremely chaotic, sometimes even worse than ordinary people’s memory.”

Golos continued playing the curious baby: ”Memory loss I can understand, but while we were imprisoned for so long, did it never cross your mind to undo the seal for self-rescue?”

Bruiser felt a bit like swearing.

Golos seemed to clearly believe he was the young Demon King, why so obsessed with digging into the details? Or maybe, Golos seemed white and clean, on the surface believed it, but cut open the stomach, inside was all black pus.

At this time, Angel, standing at the door, said to Lady Melo: ”You see, they are indeed very energetic, at least they won’t die for now.”

Lady Melo’s mouth twitched: ”Yes.”

”Let’s go in and see, Dox’s so-called real ’art’.”

Angel stepped forward, walked inside through the door. While walking, a long-necked python appeared beside him, it was Slaikum, now with a persona of ”rebellious” yet ”bootlicker”, needing to stay close to Angel.

The sudden appearance of Angel and Lady Melo was considered a relief for Bruiser. After all, he had exhausted his brain trying to figure out how to answer Golos’s questions.

But relieved as they were, their condition was fully exposed.

For a moment, the air became heavy and silent.

At this moment, Lady Melo finally understood why Angel let other Talented Ones stay in the illusion below, because the scene before was really eye-burning.

Before they left prison, they saw two naked men hanging upside down on a slanted neck tree at the door.

The scene at that time already felt like a direct blow.

And now this scene is probably way more eye-burning by countless times than that scene then.

Because Golos and Bruiser were not only nakedly hung by ropes in mid-air, but also tied in an extremely indecent and shameful, even humans easily can’t achieve bizarre poses.

This pose is so odd it’s difficult to describe even with words, only to be shocked by the flexibility of the human body being able to reach such a level.

Because of the magnificence of the pose, they even overlooked a certain mysteriously swelling bound object.

Of course, Dox’s claim of ”real art” is this advanced rope art.

This unruly, rhythmic, harmonious rope art, paired with the pose, is the epitome.
