Warlock Apprentice

After Muse finished speaking, he nodded at Angel, then swiftly left with Rosen’s head via the teleportation Magic Pattern to the Fantasy Mechanical City. He still had many things to take care of, like restoring Rosen’s shell, tracing the Seed’s whereabouts, preparing for further attacks from the Seed, and responding to the upper echelons of Sky Mechanical City... and more.

Therefore, Muse didn’t have much time to entertain Angel. He instructed Melisa to take the others out of the secret room and left first.

Sanders patted Angel’s shoulder: ”It’s time to prepare to leave.”

Angel nodded. The affair of the Seed was extensive, and as a newly ascended wizard, he couldn’t play any significant role in it. Moreover, Angel believed that in cities like Sky Mechanical City, which were integrated with Witcher Organizations and trade centers, there must be measures in place and hidden cards to deal with such threats.

A well-established organization possesses formidable powers that are not to be underestimated.

Therefore, he didn’t need to worry too much.

Greya looked at Melisa, whose eyes were still a bit dazed, and softly said: ”Thank you.”

Melisa nodded: ”This way.”

Melisa led everyone to a corner of the secret room. No one knew what she activated, but a layer of bright light enveloped all of them. The next second, they appeared in a long corridor.

Angel glanced around and realized the corridor wasn’t unfamiliar to him. The hall not far ahead seemed to lead directly to the Boundless Battle Arena. This place was at the mid-section of the Infinite Battle Tower—100th floor.

Melisa sensed the hall ahead and frowned slightly: ”There are a lot of people up front. I’ll take you through another passage.”

Everyone nodded casually, understanding Melisa’s situation. After all, Melisa was part of the core team of the Infinite Battle Tower. With such bizarre events occurring, she would surely be surrounded and questioned if she appeared. Moreover, the core personnel hadn’t unified their statements yet, making it inconvenient for her to reveal herself. Melisa wasn’t in a good state either, so there was no need for her to force herself to appear.

Melisa led everyone through the silent corridor, and after about half a minute, they arrived at a closed pathway. Melisa reached out and lightly touched the wall, which then turned into soft mud filled with ripples, slowly transforming into a large door.

Outside the door was vast white clouds drifting by.

”We’ll be going first,” Greya patted Melisa’s shoulder and left with the group.

Angel was the last to leave, and just as he was about to walk through the door, Melisa suddenly called out to him.

Angel turned back, looking puzzled.

Melisa remained silent for a moment, then deeply bowed to Angel.

”I just heard from the City Lord that if you hadn’t entered the hall in time, the City Lord might have already... Thank you.”

Melisa’s voice was somewhat low and carried a deep sense of guilt. At that time, she was completely dazed, thinking Rosen had been shot dead by an arrow. In a state of confusion, she stumbled out of the hall.

If Angel hadn’t acted in time, perhaps after ten or twenty more seconds, Rosen would have truly died.

If such a situation had occurred, Melisa would never forgive herself for the rest of her life. Though she didn’t appreciate Rosen’s heartlessness and cold nature, he was still her father. She never dared to imagine Rosen suddenly dying, especially due to her indirect cause, as it would truly devastate her.

Therefore, Angel’s saving of Rosen indirectly redeemed her unease and soul.

Angel looked at Melisa bowing to him with intricate emotions reminiscent of years past at the Sky Tower.

Finally, Angel softly replied: ”No matter.”

Then he turned to embrace the clear blue sky.

Soon, Angel caught up with his Mentor and the others, who didn’t ask why Angel was a bit late. Instead, Greya curiously asked: ”What did Melisa say to you?”

Angel replied casually: ”If it were the old you, you wouldn’t care about such gossip. You’re too influenced by this flesh body.”

Greya was taken aback, her gaze momentarily lost, seemingly immersed again in considerations of soul and flesh body harmony. After a long time, she finally reacted: ”Are you trying to change the subject?”

Angel: ”No.”

Greya thought for a moment and ultimately chose not to delve into what Melisa and Angel talked about, thinking it wouldn’t be of significant importance anyway.

As Greya turned and no longer focused on him, Angel took out his communicator, noticing Melisa seemed to be sending some information.

He glanced at the content, which seemed related to... Baroque.

...

When the distant skyline tinged with red clouds, Muse finally ceased his activities and looked at the tall male across from him.

The silver-white mechanical body gleamed with an eerie cold light. Even if he stood still, he exuded a presence that was impossible to ignore.

”Basically completed, but the materials for realistic skin are hard to find. It’s a meticulous task, so it might take some time to replace,” Muse said.

The tall man turned, revealing a young and handsome face.

It was Rosen.

Rosen: ”Not necessary. The so-called realistic skin is merely a nice veneer. It’s not of any use to me.”

As he spoke, Rosen donned the golden wizard robe.

”In fact, I feel, since the last mechanical shell was shattered, you might as well take this opportunity to replace it with a real flesh body. I have your previous flesh limbs here, and I can use the germ proliferation method to cultivate a new body for you,” Muse suggested.

Rosen still shook his head indifferently: ”No need.”

”Don’t be so quick to refuse ~ At least let me help you cultivate a reproductive system so you can experience a man’s joy again,” Muse said, while placing his hand on Rosen’s shoulder with a ”you know” expression.

Rosen gave a cold chuckle, not even bothering to respond this time.

”I’m heading back to the Infinite Battle Tower again. The affairs of the Seed happened abruptly, and many issues need my handling. I’m also a bit worried about Melisa,” Rosen said and prepared to leave.

Muse hesitated: ”Wait.”

With a blank expression, Rosen turned, waiting for Muse’s words.

Muse: ”I just wanted to ask about your Magic Vortex... Is it alright now?”

”The collapse has temporarily halted, but complete restoration, for now, can’t be achieved in a short period. It’s not a concern, I’ll contact Midora later for assistance.” After speaking, Rosen nodded at Muse, and his figure dispersed into countless light points, disappearing from the Fantasy Mechanical City.

After Rosen left, a pale blue Light Spirit appeared at the entrance of the Hall of Creation.
