Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 1333: Chapter 571: New Home

PS: It’s a bit late today, yesterday’s two updates were too damaging, please understand.

The Dark Elf stood charmingly at the top of the high stairs, on both sides of the castle’s second floor was a row of maids, almost all dressed in uniform black and white maid outfits, with white headscarves tied on their heads, all aged between fifteen to eighteen. If Laine guessed correctly, most of these maids were brought in later, as they were almost all unfamiliar faces.

The maid team in Laine Castle is basically replaced every year or two, except for the Dark Elf as his personal maid and Sylvia as the Head Maid, all other maids have to leave after a maximum of two and a half years, which is a rule set by Surya. Of course, she had told Laine that if he fancied someone and wanted them to stay, it was easy, just let her know.

However, Laine already lacks no women around him, even he himself was ”arranged” at the turkey feast, Laine has various busy affairs and has no interest in engaging with these maids, yet many maids want to volunteer to share his bed and become his female courtier, but unfortunately, none succeeded. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

Upon seeing the Dark Elf loudly call out to her master, a row of maids almost simultaneously lowered their heads, lifted their skirts, and saluted Laine: ”Welcome back, Your Grace the Duke!”

Their shouting was quite uncoordinated, but Laine still felt a sense of time-traveling.

The maids’ uniforms were standard white aprons decorated with ruffles over white-collared plain long dresses, paired with simple cotton short socks and round-toe leather shoes (stockings are luxury items and symbolize female nobility, maids seldom have the chance to wear them). Upon seeing Laine enter, the maids looked at this new duke with fiery eyes, the future king, and clearly, their minds must be filled with countless thoughts at the moment.

”Master! You’re back?” The Dark Elf felt delighted at Laine’s appearance; Ollica lifted her skirt and quickly ran to Laine, wearing a Brittania sweetheart off-shoulder black and white maid long dress today, her waist-length black hair simply bound by a headscarf, her amber eyes filled with joy, her long beautiful legs dressed in white strap stockings, her feet clad in black pointed strap high heels. She hurried to Laine: ”I heard from Mr. Kasenberg that you wouldn’t arrive until the day after tomorrow.”

”Yes, but I hurried back earlier.” Laine nodded with a smile, he held Ollica’s small hand and asked: ”Where’s Surya?”

”Yes, where’s Surya?” Francois followed behind asking, eager to see his daughter.

”Lady Surya is in the Lake Lady’s tower.” Ollica nodded, the Dark Elf stood somewhat adoringly beside Laine and softly said: ”It’s been over eight months, she’s quite inconvenient now, Master, do you want to go see her?”

”Yes, I’ll go now.” Laine nodded, he naturally wanted to see his wife and the child in Surya’s belly first.

”Then please follow me.” Ollica’s eyes flashed with a strange light, the Dark Elf crossed her hands, gesturing for Laine and Francois to follow her: ”The castle has been renovated, the whole structure and corridors are different, Master, I’ll take you.”

After the Dwarf Craftsmen’s refurbishing, Laine Castle has become quite different, with luxurious and grand decorations; the best Old World’s decorations have made Laine’s castle completely new. The architectural styles fused and developed the practical dwarven style and Brittania’s elf-derived style. Along the corridor, murals, sculptures, oil paintings, and tapestries fill history, many tapestries illustrate Laine’s great achievements.

”Laine, I remember when you first came to Brittania, this castle was only a small one with three floors and twenty-something rooms, you could see the end at a glance.” As they walked, Francois looked at Laine’s new castle, stroking his beard with a smile: ”But now, your castle is over five times bigger than initially.”

After renovation, Laine’s castle in Gene Town now has five floors high, one independent inner castle, one secondary castle, two towers, and the walls are brimmed with dwarven artillery. Besides this, the Lake Fairy Tower and Veronica’s Dawn Wizard Tower have now been ”absorbed” into the castle by new walls.

”New constructions include Lion Tower, Gray Knight Tower, three brand new courtyards, a new stable, a new Griffin Beast Cage, and two new gardens, respectively Lady Garden and Surya Garden.” The Dark Elf also introduced the newly built castle: ”And Francois Gallery, Oval Courtyard, and Landuin Garden, etc.”

”Hahaha, so I’m included, huh.” Francois laughed heartily after hearing, shaking his head: ”This must be Surya’s idea.”

”Indeed, it’s Lady Surya’s idea.” The Dark Elf nodded, she stretched out her little hand pointing to a corner of the castle: ”That is my exclusive Alchemy Workshop, I’ll mix some potions there. If you value your life, don’t enter without my invitation, consequences will be severe.”

”What’s it called?” Laine still smiling, the Dark Elf’s true strength surpasses Teresa and Veronica combined, her concocted potions might have miraculous effects.
