Vampire Progenitor System

The air between them shattered.

With a single silent pulse of Adam’s aura, the cracked street split apart under his bare feet, sending jagged lines rippling outward in trembling webs of broken earth. The glyphs across his robe burned gold and white, flickering with living light that danced along his pale skin in thin streams. His long black hair drifted upward in the quiet pressure of his magic, flicking softly against his expressionless face.

Lilith smirked faintly. The shadows at her feet coiled upward, wrapping around her legs in writhing serpents of pitch darkness. Her crimson aura pulsed outward, pressing silent waves of force into the crumbling buildings around them. Windows exploded inward. Steel beams twisted and screamed as her presence flickered through them in silent tremors of absolute power.

Adam raised his hand.

Light gathered along his palm, forming a swirling sphere of pure gold laced with flickering veins of white and black. It pulsed in the air like a tiny sun, flickering with trembling gravity as the ground under him sank inward, pressed flat under the silent weight of his gathering magic.

Lilith tilted her head, her crimson hair falling across her glowing eyes. She lifted her fingers slowly, and the shadows coiling around her snapped upward into the sky, forming thick spears of pure darkness that pierced the heavy clouds, sending flickering arcs of black lightning dancing across the frozen storm above.

Adam flicked his wrist.

The golden sphere in his hand pulsed outward in a blinding arc of silent light, splitting the air between them with trembling force. The blast struck Lilith instantly, engulfing her in golden flames that burned hotter than the dying sun above.

But the flames froze mid-roar.

Her hand emerged from the inferno, fingers spread wide. The golden flames flickered and twisted around her palm like trembling ribbons before flickering out into silent mist. Her eyes glowed deeper as her smirk widened faintly.

”My turn.”

She closed her fist.

The shadows in the sky snapped downward. Dozens of massive black spears fell from the frozen clouds, each one thick as a tower, their tips burning with molten red light as they pierced the roaring winds, aimed straight for Adam.

He raised his hand again.

Golden glyphs flickered across his arm in thin arcs as a wall of radiant light erupted before him. The black spears slammed into the golden shield with silent, bone-shaking force, sending tremors rippling through the broken city for miles. The ground split apart in wide, gaping chasms. Collapsed buildings fell deeper into the earth. Dust and ash roared upward in screaming clouds as the spear tips burned against the golden barrier, flickering with trembling arcs of silent lightning.

Adam’s eyes narrowed. His aura pulsed outward in a silent quake, shattering the black spears into drifting shards of mist that dissolved in the roaring wind. He stepped forward once, his bare foot pressing into the cracked asphalt with quiet finality.

”Pointless,” he said softly.

Lilith’s smirk didn’t fade. Her wings unfolded fully behind her, each feather dripping thick trails of molten shadow into the trembling street below. The shadows at her feet rose higher, coiling around her waist and shoulders like silent snakes, flickering with deep crimson light as they rippled against the roaring wind.

She lifted her hand slowly. Her fingers flicked downward.

The earth exploded beneath Adam.

Thick, clawed hands of pure shadow erupted from the ground, grabbing his legs and waist, pulling him downward with silent, trembling force. Their claws burned with deep crimson runes, flickering in trembling arcs as the shadows twisted tighter, cracking the ground under his feet as they tried to drag him into the screaming darkness below.

Adam didn’t move. He tilted his head faintly, golden eyes flickering with silent annoyance.

Then his aura pulsed outward.

The shadows holding him disintegrated instantly, dissolving into drifting mist that fled into the screaming wind. He raised his hand again, fingers spread wide. The golden glyphs across his robe burned brighter, flickering in trembling pulses as silent arcs of white lightning danced between his outstretched fingers.

He closed his fist.

The world screamed.

A silent wave of crushing gravity erupted outward from him in every direction, flattening buildings into silent heaps of shattered stone and twisted steel. The street under him sank inward, pressed flat under the crushing weight of his magic. The wind howled away from him in screaming spirals, carrying dust, ash, and broken cars into the darkened sky.

Lilith raised her wings, folding them around her like a cloak. The silent gravity wave struck her instantly, pressing her crimson aura into the cracked ground. The shadows coiling around her screamed in flickering arcs as they burned away under the crushing force.

Her eyes narrowed.

She raised her hand, and her aura pulsed outward in a single silent quake.

The gravity wave shattered instantly. The force pressing down on her vanished, replaced by a trembling silence that flickered between them like frozen lightning.

She spread her wings wide.

Then she moved.

She vanished from sight, appearing instantly in front of Adam, her fist already buried in his stomach. The impact rippled outward in a silent shockwave, splitting the cracked street apart under their feet. His body folded forward under the blow, but his golden eyes didn’t waver. He raised his hand, pressing it against her chest.

Light exploded between them.

The street vanished in a blinding arc of white and gold. Buildings for miles disintegrated into drifting dust. The storm above flickered with silent lightning as the sky split apart, revealing thin cracks of trembling golden light beyond the dark clouds.

When the light faded, Lilith stood frozen, her heels digging deep into the cracked ground, her fist still pressed into Adam’s stomach. Blood dripped from her lips, splattering the shattered asphalt below. Her crimson aura flickered, trembling under the silent quake of his magic.

Adam’s golden eyes narrowed. His hand burned brighter against her chest, flickering with silent arcs of trembling light.

”You are strong,” he whispered softly. ”But you cannot win.”

Lilith smiled faintly, blood dripping from her teeth.

”I don’t need to win,” she whispered back.

Her wings flared outward in a silent pulse, sending rippling shadows roaring through the broken city in trembling waves. The black feathers flickered with deep molten crimson, dripping thick trails of burning shadow into the screaming wind. Her aura pressed deeper into the ground, splitting the cracked street into wide, gaping chasms that glowed with trembling red light.

Adam’s smile faded.

The shadows wrapped around him, coiling tighter, flickering with silent arcs of molten red. His golden aura burned deeper, flickering with trembling glyphs that rippled across his pale skin like silent lightning.

The air between them screamed.

And as their powers clashed in trembling silence, the dying world shivered under their feet. The storm above flickered with black and gold lightning, illuminating their frozen silhouettes in trembling arcs of quiet, endless light. NovelFire
