Vampire Progenitor System

The world trembled.

The first signs were quiet. Barely noticed. A distant vibration running through cracked streets and hollow buildings. Windows rattled in their shattered frames. Dust drifted down from the remains of skyscrapers, falling like silent grey rain across burned-out cars and bodies frozen in death.

Then came the stillness.

The wind died. The sky dimmed. Birds fell from the air in silent heaps, feathers drifting after them like pale, broken prayers. Far away, the ocean receded from its shores, waves pulling back into the dark horizon as if fleeing something they could not bear to witness.

Lucifer stood in the middle of Times Square, silent among the bodies of dead clones and broken hunters. The early sun flickered above him, its light dimming to a pale, sickly gold. He felt it instantly—the pulse that had always been there beneath his feet, the heartbeat of the world itself. It was fading. Slowing. Becoming quiet.

His molten eyes burned deeper, flickering between crimson and gold as he clenched his fists.

”He’s done it,” he whispered.

Ella turned to him, tears still streaking down her soot-smeared cheeks. ”What... what’s happening...?”

Lucifer’s gaze drifted north. Through steel. Through concrete. Through distance. He saw Adam standing at the Core, golden hand buried in its trembling mass, consuming everything. Integrating everything. The death of the planet was not dramatic. It was quiet. Final. The death of its pulse. The end of its magic.

He exhaled, a thin curl of blood dripping from his lip to the cracked pavement.

”We don’t have much time,” he said softly. His voice carried across the silent street, brushing dust from broken windows as it passed. ”Gather everyone. We’re leaving.”

Ella blinked, her tears drying against her skin in the cold dawn air. ”Leaving...? Where...?”

”Anywhere but here.”

He turned slightly, his gaze falling on the clone kneeling in the blood-stained street. The clone’s wings were limp behind him, black feathers twitching faintly as the dying wind passed over them. His eyes lifted to Lucifer’s face, red irises flickering with quiet confusion.

Lucifer’s gaze softened. Just for a moment.

”You,” he said quietly. ”You’re coming too.”

The clone blinked. Slowly. Then he nodded once, silent tears dripping from his black sclera eyes to the blood-streaked ground.

Lucifer stepped back from them all. His horns flickered with dim light before dissolving into shadow, vanishing into his hair. His wings folded inward, feathers melting into silent mist that dissipated in the dawn breeze. His body shifted with a quiet ripple. The demon markings along his arms faded. The molten glow in his eyes dimmed, leaving only deep crimson irises framed by long white lashes. His hair fell down around his shoulders, white as winter moonlight, flicking softly against his neck in the dying breeze.

His vampire form.

Silent. Cold. Impossibly beautiful in its simplicity. White hair. Pale skin streaked with drying blood. Eyes that burned red but held no rage—only quiet, endless grief.

He turned from them, his bare feet silent against the cracked asphalt as he walked toward Francisca’s body. The girl lay still, silver hair fanned out around her blood-matted ears, tails curled limply across the fractured street. Her chest did not rise. Her lips were pale and parted slightly, frozen in a final, silent exhale.

Lucifer knelt beside her.

He reached out slowly, his hand trembling as his fingers brushed her cheek. Cold. So cold. He clenched his teeth, the faintest sob slipping between them before he forced it down, burying it in his chest where all his grief burned quietly, unseen.

He slipped his arms under her body and lifted her gently against his chest. Her limp tails brushed against his stomach as he rose. He looked down at her for a long moment, hair falling across his bloodstreaked face.

Then he disappeared.

His form dissolved into silent black mist that twisted up into the cold dawn air, spiralling into nothing.

Vina turned away from Rey, her shadow flickering across her torn clothes as she shifted. Her wolf ears flattened back against her hair. Shadows coiled around her ankles, curling up her legs like living snakes. Without a word, she dissolved into silent darkness, her body folding into shadow and vanishing.

Rey exhaled a ragged breath, wiping blood from his lips with the back of his hand. He glanced at the clone, who knelt trembling in the middle of the ruined street. Then he closed his eyes and dissolved into shadow, following his sister into the fading world.

The clone spread his wings slowly. Feathers flicked with faint crimson light as he lifted off the ground, bare feet brushing dust into silent spirals as he rose. He flew after Lucifer, following the fading echo of his aura north through the silent, dying city.

The Origin HQ was silent when Lucifer arrived.

The great marble floors were cracked, lined with streaks of fallen blood and soot. The wide glass walls flickered with dying power, the outside sky dim and grey beyond their fractured surface. He stepped inside, his bare feet silent against the cold stone. Francisca’s body lay limp in his arms, her tails dragging across the floor behind him in pale silver streaks.

Ella arrived moments later, her breathing ragged, tears still streaming down her cheeks as she stumbled through the wide entrance hall.

Lucifer turned to her. His white hair fell softly around his face, framing the quiet rage burning in his red eyes.

”Gather the family heads,” he said softly. ”Tell them... gather whoever they want. Their hunters. Their humans. Their children. Their old. We’re leaving this world. Today.”

Ella wiped her tears with trembling fingers. ”Leaving... to where...?”

”The Vampire Realm will be our gateway,” Lucifer said quietly, his eyes locked on the fading light beyond the shattered window. His white hair drifted softly around his face, catching the dying dawn. ”From there... the other races can return to their own worlds.”

He stood silent for a moment, listening to the quiet hum of the Origin HQ’s failing systems. Distant alarms pulsed faintly, warning of the tectonic ruptures spreading through the dying earth far below. He didn’t care. His gaze stayed fixed on the horizon, seeing beyond the crumbling city to something farther. Something only he knew.
