Triple X System

Back at the castle, the spectators had now been secured in a safe space on the palace floors. Even though they were now inside, they could still hear the explosion sounds from the arena as the castle would shake from time to time, every time a huge explosion occured.

”Commander! Everyone’s safely behind the castle walls, there haven’t been any casualties also.” A guard reported, slightly bowing his head to ona.

”Good. As far as we’re in here we should be safe.” She calmly said dismissing the guard. Turning, there was a hint of fear on her face as she wore a worried expression. She was confident in the castle walls withstanding huge damages, as they were made from a special material called glatherium.

It was found throughout the kingdom, as most of the kingdom were made with this material because of it’s durability, and it’s ability to withstand some levels of attack.

’He’s never used that sword before.’ Ona shuddered a bit, recalling the terrifying golden sword sheated around troy’s waist. She’d been commander of the palace guards for a while now, and during the battles they encountered they’d always been victorious because of troy. And not once, did she ever recall him using that sword before.

’Boom!’ The castle shook a bit from that explosion, slightly shifting them off balance. Ona’s eye widened, as she could see crack marks on a side of the castle wall.

’Don’t tell me.. no~ it can’t be.’ She didn’t want to accept it, but there were some small crack marks visible on the walls. It made her heart sink a bit, as this was the first time such had happened. The explosions were powerful, but it wasn’t above the capacity of the walls to withstand as she knew they could withstand 10× the force.

But these weren’t normal explosions from just anyone. No, they were explosions from the king himself.

’Just how strong is he?’ She didn’t know how powerful Troy was, but she didn’t dare ask. His aura alone was dominating, so she could only have a glimpse idea of how powerful he was. Looking round, she could see the different races gathered were sent into a state of panic, anger, and anxiety of what was to occur next.

Ever since the start of the 54th annual hunger game, she didn’t know why but she had a bad feeling about it. And with the sudden appearance of Kyle and falcon, just made things worse.

”Ona.” A voice called out. Turning, she could see Lumia walking towards her with a frown on her face. As the princess and soon to be ruler Lumia was naturally prioritized first over all the other races, heavily guarded safely into the castle.

”We can’t just stay here and sit back in comfort while my father kills them.” Lumia hastingly spoke with worry in her tone. Knowing her father and what he was capable of, she knew he wouldn’t stop at nothing until he killed Kyle and falcon. She was surprised seeing the duo go toe to toe with her father, unleashing powerful skills of their respected abilities. but it sadly still wasn’t enough to underwhelm him.

”There’s nothing we can do Lumia. Am just as much concerned for them as you, but unfortunately there’s nothing neither of us can do about it.” Ona softly replied. She was well aware of what Troy was going to do with them, but what could she do? She couldn’t go against the king, as she’d sworn an oath. And even if she decided to, the probability of her standing a chance against Troy was just very low to none.

”W-we can team up and defeat him. Yes.. that’s it! he won’t stand a chance against all of us.” Lumia yelled with a glimmer of hope in her eyes, garning the attention of everyone.

”Lumia, what are you doing..” ona sensed what Lumia was trying to do, and she couldn’t blame her. Troy was powerful but he was also merciless, and since the death of his wife his rage had grown more. He would kill anyone, who was unlucky to get on his bad side without hesitating.

”Everyone listen up! I know some of you may think highly of my father but the truth is, he’s not the same as before. He was once good but now he’s turning evil.”

”What is she talking about?” A chubby male spoke with a frown.

”Good and evil? Who cares! We came here for a fucking show.”

”Yeah, I paid good money for this..”

Soon the small boos and angry voices of the crowd escalated into a much bigger one, as they all expressed their disdain. Not giving up, lumia tried her best to rally the crowd but they paid no need.

”Fine I’ll do it on my own. But know this, you’re all a bunch of fucking cowards.” Trying her best, she gave up her quest seeing their unreadiness in helping her.

’I’ll do this on my own.’ She inwardly said with determination, already heading out.

”Ona stop! you can’t leave, it’s not safe out there.” Ona tried talking her out of her suicide mission, but she was more stubborn headed than her father.

”What are you doing? Get out of my way.” She saw multiple guards had now surrounded her, blocking her path restricting her from moving further. She tried maneuvering her way out, but it was futile.

”I command you to get out of my way!” She shouted with authority, but it had no effect whatsoever on the guards.

”Am sorry Lumia.. it’s for your own good. I promised your mother I’ll look after you and I plan on keeping my promise, even if I have to take certain measures.” Ona softly spoke.

”Nonsense.. Let me go! I can take care of myself! I-if I don’t reach there in time then he’ll kill them both.”

”Am sorry.. B-but there’s nothing we can do. and besides.. he’s the king, we can’t question him.” Ona softly replied shaking her head.

Back at the arena the sounds of metal hitting against each other resounded, followed by the many explosions. Troy and Kyle had been engaged in a life or death battle for over 30 minutes now, as they delivered powerful blows.

When Kyle transformed, he couldn’t use his demon skills or Mana as per the system rules. Though he received massive buffs in his physical stats as he was now stronger and faster, but it still wasn’t enough.

’Bam!’ Troy was sent back from Kyle’s fist, crashing into a chunk of wall. His body was bruised and battered all over, as blood could be seen dripping from the side of his mouth.

”This bastard..” Troy grunted, feeling a bone snap in his shoulders. He was in a bad state, as he’d received some deadly blows from the demon.

Kyle was also in a much dire state than Troy, as his dark hard skin had been ripped all over. Several parts of his skin had been cut, hanging from the bones in his body.

”Restore..” Troy softly said as the golden sword glowed brightly, encasing his body. Dimming a bit, Troy could be seen standing there his body fully healed as not even a scratch could be seen on him.

’Roar!’ Kyle roared, a wide sneer forming on his face. His body was also healing at a faster pace in this form, as some new flesh had started growing back.

’This peasant. Is it just me or is his attacks getting stronger with each blow.’ Troy wondered. He wasn’t certain, but he could feel Kyle’s attacks get more powerful with each blow.

”You’re certainly one annoying bug. It’ll definitely be a pleasure to examine your body when I kill you.” Troy smirked, garning a roar from Kyle as he charged for him. Not waiting Troy also shot out for Kyle, slashing his sword sending out lines of golden aura.

With his dark claws Kyle slashed at the golden aura’s, dispersing them the moment they collided. Though it came at a cost, as a strange stinging sensation overwhelmed his whole system, immediately peeling the part it came in contact with.

’Boom!’ A cannon sound erupted as Kyle and Troy clashed in the center, both sending out attacks of their own. Punching forward, Troy activated his second ability as his fist collided with Kyle’s.

’Boom!’ A smaller explosion occured, as Kyle’s massive fist collided with troy’s. Kyle could feel the flesh on his arms split into different pieces, falling to the floor. Using his legs, Kyle sent a kick forward hitting troy directly in his guts.

”Phough!” Fresh blood spilled to the floor, as Kyle’s sharp toe nails dug into Troy’s gut. Not stopping Kyle proceeded to slash his head but Troy intercepted, swiftly slashing his right hand off.

’Roar!’ Kyle roared in pain seeing his severed right arm, rage burning in his eyes. Opening his mouth he chomped down hard on troy’s shoulder, his teeth sinking deep into his flesh pinning him with his both hands.

”Argh!” Troy screamed in pain, feeling the creature teeth clamping down on his shoulder. Countless of air bullets formed, surrounding Kyle as he shot them at the latter.

’Bang! bang! bang!’

Multiple bang sounds echoed, as Kyle was continuously pierced all over from all directions. Blood gushed out from parts of his body, as the air bullets continued to bombard him.

[Host body has been critically damaged. Regeneration process has stopped.]

[Deactivating demon transformation skill]

Multiple notifications flashed before the demon’s eye, as it could feel his body reverting back to what it once was. Kyle could feel his vision become hazy, as his body shrunk the grip on Troy loosening.

Seizing the opportunity, Troy shoved his sword into Kyle’s left heart forcefully twisting it. Blood flowed like a tap to the ground as Troy stabbed Kyle. The golden sword glowed in contrast to this, it’s energy seeping into Kyle.

[Ding! Critical hit!]

[Angelic energy detected! Hp will deplete faster!]

”Argh!” Kyle grunted feeling a sharp pain strike his right heart. He could feel something was moving in his chest area, spreading like a virus throughout his system.

[Warning system will shutdown in 30sec.]

[Would user like to use remaining demon energy to flush out poison?]

[Yes/no]

Kyle having fully reverted back to normal struggled to keep his eyes awake, as the system message popped up. Reality hit him hard in the head as he’d not only failed to kill Troy, but he’d also been stabbed by the latter.

’How isn’t he dead?’ Troy thought seeing Kyle was still alive. ’It doesn’t matter I’ll just have to continue killing him.’

Stretching his hand an arrow made out of air formed just before Kyle’s head, spinning rapidly. Looking at the latter, Troy could see he was beat so he didn’t have to worry about him putting up a fight.

”Die.” Troy grinned shooting the arrow to Kyle’s head. Unable to move, the arrow pierced through his head sending him back a bit. Blood flowed from Kyle’s head as the arrow continued drilling his skull, forming a bloody hole.

”No dad stop!” A voice yelled. Looking, Troy could see Lumia running towards Kyle crouching down.

”Lumia, what are you doing?” Troy frowned his anger rising. He could see her place her hands to his body, as purple energy flowed from her into kyle.

”I won’t let you spill more innocent blood.”

”Spill? Innocent? Haha! I didn’t spill any innocent blood daughter. They are mere peasants, they don’t belong here. and besides.. these two tried to kill me first so it’s only fair I return the favor.” Without warning Lumia was forcefully flung to the side, as Troy appeared besides Kyle an air drill forming in his left arm.

”No!” Lumia shouted trying to stand, as huge gusts of wind opposed her. She could see her father glance at her, before shoving it down to Kyle’s head.

’Boom!’ An explosion occured as troy’s drill was just inches from Kyle’s skull. Turning, they could see a figure emerging from the clouds of dust making it’s way towards them.

”Well well well. Now what do we have here.” A female said, followed by the sudden appearance of a mysterious figure.
